Happy Valentine's Day from over the Rainbow Bridge! The other cats in my family have decided that I should be the one to keep a diary, since I see everything that's going on from kitty heaven. Each time I write I will relay some thoughts from each kitty brudder or sister...this way everyone gets a chance to speak. Please, remember that I am a cat and cannot spell everything...I will do my best.
First, from Yours Truly (that means me right?):
I've noticed from up here that there is a new human "babee" in the house....he sure makes a lot of noise. I kind of wish I got to meet him, he looks like he'd be good at scratching me behind the ears and on the belly. I wonder who's going to teach him how to sneak up on Curtis??? That was my favorite thing, and I was verry good at it. I hope he can do it without me...
Ok, this is from Emma:
Shtupid babees...(Emma has a lisp)...she says she doesn't like that Mommee gives all her attention to the little screaming thing. She is happy tho that the Daddee Guy picks her up and carries her around now. She thinks the babee is very cute, and smells kind of good (sometimes)...but he can't do anything yet so she isn't sure why he's here. Maybe he's here to learn how to take care of the kitties....if that's the case she's going to make sure he learns that she is the Printheth.
Oscar says:
The babee guy takes my lap space!!! I have figured out how to fit underneath him when Mommee is holding him on her chest, but it isn't the same....I can't knead her belly like I used to. He is fun to watch tho, and I love to headbutt him when he's laying on the sofa. I wonder if he's going to play with me someday???
Curtis:
Why can't I sit on the coffee table???? I only knocked over three or four drinks...sheesh. Oh, the babee is weird....why won't he stop eating? I'm going to sleep. *Mr. Moosie here....Curtis is a cat of few words, he thinks silence gets a message across much better*
Devon:
So that's what was in Mommee's tummy when she was all fat and stuff! I was wondering what was going on there....all I knew was that I needed to lay on her tummy and protect it from the others. My brudder Oscar kept trying to claw his way in, and I just knew that was a bad idea. I like the babee, he needs me to watch over him and that's what Mommee says I do best! I hope he doesn't want my Vicki...I can't share my Vicki, she's the love of my life.
Angus:
Tell Curtis to stop jumping on my butt!!! Do you smell Tuna??? *Mr. Moosie again....Angus is a simple cat, he probably won't ever have much to say that actually matters to anyone, but I would never leave him out*
L.C.:
He says he misses me, I was his best buddy you see. We loved to cuddle...I miss him too. Anyway, he's not sure about the babee thingy, but he noticed that if you wait long enough when Mommee is holding him he will actually put his hand out and kind of pet you on the head...you just have to put your head close enough to reach him. He says his arfritis is bugging him a bit because of the cold weather, but he's doing ok. He limps a little every once in a while....but it's nothing he can't handle. He really wishes Curtis would stop picking on him for being old and grumpy...Curtis is only a year younger or so! He also says that Mommee has been very good about not ignoring the kitties now that the babee is here....she tries to find a little time for each of us everyday.
Sophie:
Ok, she doesn't have anything to say today. Sophie is a bit of a recluse....she likes to play, but isn't very interested in Momme interaction. She likes the Daddee Guy best, but even he only gets to pet her once in a while. From what I can see, she doesn't much care about the babee...if he doesn't bother her she won't bother him.
Beanie:
I'm gonna let Bean talk for herself, she's over here with me....we were both meant to be guardian angels for our family.
Hi, I'm Beanie. Moosie says that I need to talk about what I think of the situation at my old house, and what Moosie says Beanie does (he's very big, and I don't want to make him growl). I was a very nervous kitty in the beginning, I opened up a bit towards the end, and I think that if I had to be around the babee I might have pulled back a bit again....at least until he was old enough to talk instead of cry so loud! I really miss my family tho...I was everyone's girlfriend (except EmmaRoo, of course). I saw that they got another little brown cat...Soffie I think is her name. I would have liked her....she's alot like I was when I was a babee. I'm glad they found her, that house needs a cat like us...we give everyone character!
Well, that's it for now I guess. I, Mr. Moosie, will write again when they ask me to. It seems that the only thing on everyone's mind right now is the little babee guy....my guess is that will be the case for quite some time yet.
