First of all, I thank HQ for the birthday wishes! Secondly, I thank SAMOA and HALLIE for their lovely gifts and birthday wishes.

I'm doing fine and of course, as everycat knows, live two doors down from the big red house wherein the nice lady I used to call "Mommy on the Side" lives.

Anyway, the weather's been nice and my sister, Gretchen and I are enjoying it a lot. We're partially outdoor kitties quite unlike the ones in the big red house; they're all housebound.

Anyway, I got to go now. Have a purrfect Memorial Day weekend, my friends!

Meows,

I just found out that I'm Diary of the Day! Thank you so much Diary Gal for this pawsome honor!

It's so funny as I'm the neighbors' cat who happens to go outside once in a while. On Catmas Day, I stopped by to give holiday wishes to the lady in the big red house and then I got Diary of the Day today!

Anyway, I also thank my following friends for their concats & gifts:

1.  ANGEL BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail;
2.  MANY TOES - pawsome pawmail and lovely Catmas/Wintery pic;
3.  SAMOA - cool snowman;
4.  LEO - cool comment & cool snowman;
5.  BEAR - lovely red rose;
6.  SMILEY CASSANOVA - cool jingle bells;
7. TIGER - cool snowman.

Lastly, I wish everycat a very safe and Happy New Year.

Meeps,

I stopped by for a brief visit early Catmas afternoon. I sat on the back porch for a bit when the lady came to the door and said, "hi, Willow! Merry Christmas to you." I meowed back at her. Suddenly, three of her cats, a solid black one, a fluffy gray one, and a skinny gray and white one with a long face peeked out at me and wished me a Merry Catmas too.

Of course, the lady didn't open the door as the gray fluffy one wanted out as did the others. And then I was on my way. I didn't get any handouts as the lady told me she knew I had a Mommy and Daddy and didn't want me to get fat.

So that was it.

I hope everycat had a Merry Catmas

Meeps,

I sang a couple friendly meows, and I also let her pet me. Of course, she didn't give me any food as she knows I have a mommy and daddy who takes good care of me.

Hi everycat! I want to thank the guycats and girlcats for wishing me a happy birthday yesterday and giving me lovely "share the love" gifts and treats! Unfortunately, I can't tell who gave me those gifties as the rosette box has fleas. I can't open any of the gifts at all. I believe I got three of them as there were about that many emails received. I also thank HQ for the birthday card. I can't forget that!!

Anyway, I'm fine. The weather's been extra hot and sticky this week. Everyone's hair and fur is frizzing due to this Washington, DC Metro Area humidity. Yucky!!

Well, that's about it. Thanks again.

Around lunchtime, I noted Landy sitting on the little foot stool and peering out the kitchen door glass at something. I went to the door and peeked out. Willow, the cat I called Torbie Sue, was sunbathing on the back porch.

I gave the doorknob a little jiggle, and she looked up at me with her beautiful emerald green eyes. I said "hello" to her a couple times then walked away to prepare my lunch.

I looked back a few more times, and she was stil there and had put her head back down to sleep.

Since I know she's my neighbor's cat, I didn't feed her nor did I open the door. At length, she left and headed toward the back of my yard and hopped the neighbor's fence.

It looks like she came by for a visit. This is the first time I've seen her in over a year. It's great to know that she's still around.

Anyway, I'm glad I saw her. She reminds me so much of my angel, Jasmine Bibette except smaller with more red.

This is the last entry in the story of the mysterious, Torbie Sue, who was stopping by my home for handouts and to sunbathe in my backyard.

Her real name is WILLOW! Isn't that a pretty name? She lives two doors down from my house. I just found this out on the night of the flood when several neighbors were stopping by to look at my flooded basement. One of them turned out to be Willow's real Mommy!

She's very nice so I know this cat has a perfect home and is well loved and not the stray which I first thought she was last year nor that she moved away because I hadn't seen her in quite some time.

Willow's Mommy and I compared notes and the description fits the cat I called "Torbie Sue": the emerald green eyes, the Maine Coon look, the red hair, feet with black on them (the back portions), and fox-like tail.

This is a story with a happy ending.

Good luck always to Willow and her real family!!!

Today, is Torbie Sue's special day according to the personal stats on her birthday guestimate; May 25, 2004. That was a few months after my Jasmine Bibette passed on to the Bridge. The first time I saw Torbie Sue on my back porch, I had a fleeting thought that Jasmine had come back to earth. It was then I decided to give her the birth date some time after Jasmine's Bridge date of February 20, 2004.

On behalf of Torbie Sue, I thank Catster for the lovely birthday card, 25 treats and a "paw" vote!

Oh,how I wish she were here to visit me and I could tell her that Catster wishes her a happy birthday!

Torbie Sue was one of a kind and will always be too good to be forgotten. She lives on in my memory just as Jasmine does.

Her page will still be kept as a lovely memory for me and all to enjoy. I'll write occassionally and do seasonal/holiday changes to it. It would be a shame to delete her page after so much of my time has been put into it.

Again, I reitterate, I miss dear Torbie Sue!

As of today, I still haven't seen Torbie Sue. I believe she and her family have moved out of this area as several months have passed since I've last seen her. Wherever she is, I pray that she's safe, happy, and well-loved.

I have many fond memories of her stopping by to visit me for some food and petting sessions. Also, she let me take her picture many times. Those pics will be cherished forever. She's a lovely girl, and I'll never forget her. She reminded me so much of my Bridge Angel, Jasmine Bibette, who was also a torbie.

Even though she wasn't my cat, I feel like I've lost one of my own.

I took a walk last Sunday afternoon and noted there were two vacant houses on the street behind my house (direction where I've seen Torbie Sue come sometimes).

One house had a ReMax for sale sign on the front lawn. They were holding open house for that one. The other one had the same for sale sign.

When I drove by last night, the sign was removed from the house that didn't have "open house" on Sunday. I believe this one sold.

I'm speculating Torbie Sue used to live in one of these houses. If I don't see her anymore, this may be true. Unless something sad happened to her. I pray that she's safe wherever she is.

I miss her and will always cherish her visits with me. She reminded me so much of my Jasmine Bibette who went to the Bridge on February 20, 2004. She was a "torbie" also. One of Jasmine's nicknames was "Torbie".

I'll update soon.

It was warm enough this afternoon for Torbie Sue to show up. Nope. I didn't see her at all.

I suppose it's because the morning had a cold start so her real Mommy didn't let her out.

I usually can guess when the pretty cat shows up. This time I was wrong. I hope she isn't gone for a long time like before which was September 8th to some time in mid November.

I miss seeing her very much.

Anyway, I put up the background pic of the Clematis (sp ?). This lovely flower blooms in May or June (I can't remember exactly). It's the neighbor's plant and a few of its branches hang over the fence into my back yard.

Around 10;30 a.m. I saw Torbie Sue laying under the lounge chair. I nodded toward her and she looked at me without running away. I know Bail saw her too, as he was sitting on his foot stool in front of the glass portion of the kitchen door.

When she appeared, I was in the middle of making my breakfast and couldn't stop. When I finished, I looked toward the door, and she was gone.

Also, since I let Cammie Rose outside, there was some food in a dish on the porch. When I looked at the dish, it was empty. I believe Torbie Sue helped herself to that.

Anyway, it's going to be another warm one today. I hope she stops by so I can talk to her and give her a few treats.

Since is was sunny and a bit warmer than yesterday, I stopped by this morning.

Mommy on the side saw me (my tail and butt) going down the back steps (she told me this later), and that's why she came to the front door to greet me.

I responded by many meows which sounded like I was saying, "Ma- Ma" (translation Mama). She asked if I was hungry and I repeated "Ma-Ma" several times.

She said, "Okay", went into the house, and came back out with the food. She found me sitting in the middle of her back yard, and when she set the food down, I came running.

I wolfed down a whole can of Fancy Feast chicken gourmet along with a hearty helping of dry cat food, chicken flavor.

After I was done, I thanked her and stayed in the back yard while she picked up many fallen twigs and branches off the ground and put them off to the side of the yard in a big pile.

Mourning doves cooed and other birdies were twittering in the tree tops. I could feel that spring was on it's way even though it wasn't a spring-like day yet. The trees in the yard had small buds that had formed and would most assuredly pop open whenever the next warm day arrived.

After she was done picking up the sticks, she pet me some and said she had to get going to the store. I told her I'd stop by again soon . . .

Luv & Purrs & Ma's,

Torbie Sue

P.S. Everycat, enjoy my new St. Patrick's page. I know I didn't see it as I'm not allowed in the house. Ma-Ma (this is what I'll call her from now on instead of Mommy on the side), told me of my new page decor.

I decided to drop by today not only for some sunbathing, but FOOD, and dirt rolling!

My Mommy on the side found me asleep on her back porch early this afternoon. I had chosen the warmest and sunniest place there is in her back yard to chillax and catch some zzzzz's.

When she came around back, I jumped off the porch and meowed. She asked me if I was hungry and I nodded "yes". She placed some food before me and I wolfed it down. After that I gave her my usual headrubs to her legs.

I let her take a whole lot of pics too. I also rolled in the dirt and leaves and got pretty well covered. She tried her best to wipe the dirt off me.

I think some of the pics show me with a dirt-covered head! OMC!! Now I'm Torbie Sue Dirty Girl!

Anyway, I stopped by to see how everycat's Valentine's Day went. I hope all went well.

"till next warm day,

Purrs,

Torbie Sue

NOTE: Early this afternoon I was surprised to find Torbie Sue stretched out on my back porch asleep in a patch of sun. It's obvious that she's comfortable stopping here. I often wonder who owns her and where she comes from. I'm also under the impression that they don't feed her enough because she stops by for handouts.

Anyway, it's always a pleasure seeing the pretty girl. It brightens my day whenever she comes by to pay a visit.

I cruised through the back yard early yesterday morning before my Mommy on the side left for work. I walked up the steps to the back porch, peeked around, and saw the BIG PANTHER BOY staring out at me again. Behind him stood other Mommy and said "Hi, Torbie Sue."

I had one of my skittish moments and said quickly, "Hi & By" and "Happy Valentine's Day to all" and took off.

Early this morning, I peeked out the bathroom window (overlooks the back porch) and saw Torbie Sue on the porch again. She looked up at me when I called her name.

I went to the back door and called her name again. She looked at me , and again I got some food ready for her. When I got around back, she was gone.

This time she stopped by only for a visit. Apparently, she wasn't hungry. Her owners must have fed her good this time. All in all, it felt good that she came by to see me.

It was an unseasonably warm weekend and that's why I saw her two days in a row.

I still have new photos of her to load up and was going to do that yesterday. Unfortunately, the camera batteries were dead and I didn't have time to recharge them until now. Tonight, the pics will be added.

I'm baaaaaaaaaack!

My Mommy on the side, found me sunbathing on the back porch early this afternoon. Before I saw her, I saw the BIG PANTHER BOY, staring out the door at me. I paid him no mind and stayed.

Eventually, she came around back with a whole can of beef and liver Fancy Feast and some dry stuff. I ate all of it! Every bit!

And of course, I thanked her by letting her pet me. I rubbed many times on her legs. I also let her photograph me a bunch of times.

I missed everycat so much. I'm doing fine and feel great! My ruff is still long too. I've been inside during the nasty weather we've been having. Today is the first warm spell on a weekend that I was let outside. I love the outdoors when it's warm.

The sun felt great on me as I laid on the lady's porch and while I was on the ground getting my pic taken. Before she went back inside, she told me she loves me (even if I belong to somebody else). I said "MAA" in response and rubbed against her leg. She told me she hopes to see me again tomorrow because it's going to be another warm day.

I thanked her for the food. I also stayed for a bit after she went back inside.

Purrs,

Torbie Sue

NOTE: I was very happy to see Torbie Sue stretched out on he back porch early this afternoon. She looked up at me and didn't run. I showed her the bag of dry food and a can. She understood and waited for me to come around back. I go out the front door and go to the back yard because she runs away if I exit the back door. I think she's afraid of my other cats. Anyway, I hope to see her again tomorrow.

I took some really beautiful pics of her and plan on adding them some time this weekend.

About two hours ago, I took the garbage out I noticed that it was a very warm day.

It's supposed to go up to 52 degrees or so. Anyway, I thought maybe I'd see Torbie Sue today, if at all.

Nope. Another kitty did appear on our back porch around lunchtime. It was the moocher who lives two doors down; the gray and white tabby with the raccoon-like tail.

When I saw all my boys peeking out the kitchen windows and going nuts, I thought they saw Torbie Sue.

Anyway, there's still some time left to the afternoon. When she appeared in the afternoons on a Sunday, it was usually between 2:30 and 3:00.

Later for now,

Thank you Catster for picking me as one of today's Diary Picks! WOO-HOO! I really appreciate the honor and fame!

I also thank little PORKCHOP for the cool (pardon the pun) snowman!

I had a great time last weekend when I stopped by. Also, my "Mommy on the side" was given the authority to give out thank you's if I ever get Diary Pick. She told me that she has the whole Christmas week off so if I stop by, she'll be able to see me more than on weekends.

My new photos will be loaded onto my page this weekend. They will show that my winter coat is thicker now (my ruff is very full like that of a Norwegian Forest Cat). I stay outside a lot (except when it's too cold, snowy or wet).

Anyway, I wish everycat and their furmilies a very MEOWY CATMAS & a PURRY MEW YEAR!!

Love, Meeps & Purrs,

Torbie Sue

I stopped by today for a brief visit. I was spotted first, by the BIG panther boy who lives with my second Mommy. She eventually came to the door and saw me jump onto the porch chair. She held up a can of cat food and pointed at it. I gave her the look, "hurry up, I'm really hungry today".

In no time, she came out with some Fancy Feast Turkey Florentine. I ate the whole can and was still hungry. Therefore, she went back inside and brought out some dry stuff for me. I ate all of that too.

When I was done, I rubbed against her legs (my way of saying thank you).

She also picked me up and gave me a little kiss on the side of my head. Don't worry, I'm a very clean kitty. I'm also a gentle kitty. I've never bitten or scratched her.

Anyway, she took about five new pics of me standing in the fallen leaves. Those will be added to my page some time this week.

Lastly, I plan on stopping by on Saturday or Sunday. That seems the best time for me to get a handout during this time of year.

I hope everycat is getting ready for Catmas.

Torbie Sue stopped by early yesterday morning. I saw her crouched under the lounge chair (yes, the same one Yingy used to favor) on the back porch.

Bail sat on his foot stool and looked at her. I called to her, and she was off and running. She never stays on the porch once she sees or hears me. This is when she's skittish. I think she knows Cammie Rose is inside and she's afraid of her.

Anyway, I peeked out the living room window to see if she stopped in the neighbor's front yard. She was not there.

I was on the back porch again yesterday morning some time around 8:40 a.m.

I saw my part time Mommy come to the door. As usual, I ran down the porch steps and headed toward the neighbor's house.

When I saw some times Mommy in her front yard, I meoooooooooowed for a long time. She asked me if I wanted something to eat, and I told her I did.

She went inside and came back with some food for me. While I was eating, she pet and talked to me.

I told her I had a good Thanksgiving at home and that I'm doing fine.

I hope all my friends had a good Thanksgiving too.

I also understand from my part time Mommy that she added Christmas pics to my page. Sometimes I wish I could come inside and see them. We have an agreement here, though. She won't let me inside as she believes I belong to somebody else in the neighborhood. She'll talk to me, pet me, and feed me whenever I stop by. She also said I'm welcome to come by anytime to say "hi".

Well that's about it from me. I doubt that I'll stop by on Sunday as it's supposed to rain all day long.

Torbie Sue stopped by on the back porch looking for food around 9:30 a.m. today. I called her name through the door and she took off (she's always been like that when I come to the door).

I went to the front door, went outside and saw her sitting on the front sidewalk of the neighbor's yard. I said "hello, Torbie Sue, Pretty Girl" and she meowed her "hello" back to me. I told her to wait.

I got some food and went back outside to find her gone. I walked up the street and looked for her, to no avail.

I put the food down on the back porch in case she decided to drop by later.

Unfortunately, she didn't come by. Another moocher (a gray and white bi-color with a raccoon-like tail) was there gobbling up what was meant for Torbie Sue.

This was an odd day. It's still cold out and I guess she didn't feel like waiting for the food.

It was good seeing her though.

I'll update again.

Hi everycat! I stopped by this afternoon! Boy did I ever surprise my "Second Mommy".

I dropped by after the rain had stopped. It was a strange warm day where the sun dipped in and out of dark gray clouds. I found a bowl of dry cat food on the back porch. After I ate all the food, I wandered to the back portion of the lady's yard and sat in a pile of fallen leaves.

I heard a window above the porch open up and saw her peek out. She looked down to see the empty bowl and looked up and across the yard. She was shocked and overjoyed when she saw me. I could tell by her voice that she was so happy. She called me, "Torbie Sue" and then "Pretty Girl". She told me to stay there as she would be right down.

I waited for her.

In no time, she came out the back door. She grabbed the empty dish off the back porch and put a whole can of moist food into it and brought it to me.

I walked up to her slowly, meowing the whole time. I was a bit skittish at first and then I let her touch me. It was then I remembered her very well. She put the dish down for me, and I proceeded to eat the yummy food while she petted me on the top of my head.

It was as if time had stood still for both of us. And then it started to sprinkle on us and we didn't mind getting wet. I kept eating while she kept petting me and then it rained harder and harder and both of us had to go our separate ways. She told me to "run for cover" and I did so by bounding over the chain link fence. And she went back into her house.

Before she fed me, she asked me where I had been and of course, being a cat, I was very secretive about it. I said in return, "I'm here again and I'm fine." I also said that I missed her and my Catster friends and even grouchy Cammie Rose.

What matters now is I'm here. I'm not missing. I'm not at Rainbow Bridge. I'm here, I'm safe, and I came for a visit. I will stop by again . . . .

Purrs & Meeps,

Torbie Sue

MY NOTES: Cammie Rose had been in for a few days and around 10:00 a.m. it had stopped raining and was very warm. I put her outside and also a bowl of Purina One salmon dry food. She stayed for a while and didn't touch the food. I believe she went to the vacant house next door as it has a really nice porch on it.

Anyway, several hours later, I looked out the bathroom window (this window is above the back porch and I can see what's going on when I raise up the screen and look out.) I noticed that the bowl was empty, and it was then I had this deep thought that Torbie Sue was back. Usually when the birds go for the dry food they tilt the bowl up on its side. The bowl was not tilted. I looked toward the back portion of the yard hoping to see her, and I did. She was sitting amongst many fallen oak leaves. This time, it was no optical illusion. I definitely saw the shape of a cat sitting in the leaves. I was overjoyed. I called to her and told her to wait for me. She did.

I can't describe how happy I am to see her again! I pet her over and over while she was eating.

Where she was, I can only speculate. She may have been around all along and had kept different hours so she wouldn't have another tussle with Cammie Rose. She could have been dropping by here in the afternoon while I was at work.

And then again, she could have been on a "staycation" or had babies and was nursing for two months. That's the amount of time that I haven't seen her (September 10 - November 15th; two months and five days!).

Torbie Sue is a mystery cat! I'm so glad that I've seen her again and that she's safe. That alone is a blessing!

This is another small update. I haven't seen Torbie Sue since September 10, 2008. I still think about her and look daily to see if she's in my backyard.

Bailey Gray Cloud sits on his little footstool and peers out the window portion of the back door. When he's captivated, I have to check to see what he's looking at. Everytime I look, there's only birds on the back porch and not Torbie Sue.

I wish her my best wherever she may be.

I thank Catster for the honor of diary pick on behalf of Torbie Sue. I wish she were around so I can give her a nice piece of chicken to celebrate with me.

About a week ago, I asked a neighbor if he had ever seen the "red" cat before and he told me he had, but not in quite some time.

Anyway, I'll keep looking for her. I'll never forget her beauty and those penetrating, emerald green eyes of hers. She looked like the queen of all cats. Even though she wasn't my kitty, I had a bond with her. I'll never forget her as she is a part of my heart.

Well, I must close now. Thank you again, Catster.

I was looking through Torbie Sue's little journal and noticed that her first entry was dated August 10, 2008. The last day I saw her was September 10, 2008. I had one lovely month to get to know this beautiful girl cat. I got to feed her, pet her, hold her, and photograph her. Those times were very special to me.
I went for a walk around the block yesterday afternoon and saw what appeared to be a vacant house.

All downstairs windows were free of shades, curtains and blinds. In one window were several cactus plants which apparently had been left behind.

The top floor windows did have blinds on them which were all drawn shut.

I'm thinking this may have been where Torbie Sue and her owners once lived.

Of course, this is my speculation.

Thank you again Catster for the honor of DDP for lovely Torbie Sue!

I'm still missing her. It's been over two weeks and I'm still speculating:

1.    Maybe she had kittens and is being kept inside to be with them;
2.    She and her family moved;
3. She had a tragic accident or is sick. This is one I pray never
        happened.

Everyday, I keep looking for Torbie Sue. I look toward the far end of the backyard and sometimes I think I see her sitting and sunning herself amongst the fallen leaves as she did on the last Sunday I saw her. The way the sun reflects on the leaves in that area, and the wind blows through them, is a very convincing optical illusion!

I'm praying for her right now that she's safe and loved wherever she may be.

I thank the following for their gifts & kind words: SONNY BONO & family for the Febreze collar; SNOOP DOG & Family for the Power of the Paw; EDGAR & Family for the lovely blue ribbon; SAMOA & Family for the Lovely red rose; and BOOGERS & Family for the cool beachball!

Thank you Catster for the honor of picking Torbie Sue's diary for today! I wish she were around so I could pass on these joyful feelings to her.

I haven't seen her in two weeks! I'm hoping and praying that she is safe with her family whoever they might be.

In the meantime, another kitty has been dropping by for food. This time it's a gray non-neuter (blue in the catfancy world) with a white bib and matching footie socks on the front feet and leggings on the back. His tale is gray with faint raccoon-like rings. His shape is long and slender like that of an oriental shorthair, and his eyes are green, but not as dark as dear Torbie Sue's.

He likes the food here and keeps coming back every day whereas Torbie Sue was a visitor a couple times a week.

I've also been thinking that she and her family moved out of the area. I'm saddened by this because I'll never see her again. I had no plans on catnapping her. She was a joy to see and to help out when she was hungry. She was a very friendly girl, and I'll miss her with all my heart.

Again, thank you Catster for this honor! I also thank the following for their Febreze collars: BUDDIE, MACKENNA & Family; SIR SONNY BONO; and the Family of PRISSY, HARLEY, TAO & TEDDY.

I haven't seen Torbie Sue since September 10th! That's been quite a long time without her dropping by to say "hi" to me.

I hope and pray that she's fine. If she does live with somebody else and they're on vacation, that explains why she hasn't been around in some time. She may be at a kitty bed and breakfast or with them.

Of course, this is my speculation.

Meanwhile, as you can see by Sampy's and Bail's diaries, there's another little moocher hanging around our house.

Well, I must go now as it's getting late.

I'll update soon.

I got brave and decided to scarf up Cam's leftovers this morning. I ate very fast as I didn't want her to come out from under the porch or wherever and start up another game of uproar with me. I wasn't in the mood for it!

I heard the doorknob wiggle and that was my cue to take off. I did so.

The lady came out the front door, and I was sitting on the neighbor's front lawn She and I exchanged "good morning" greetings.

I then watched her as she got in her car and drove off.

I know my timing is off, but I have to be careful as Cam is out there on the porch before 8:45 a.m.

Weekend afternoons work best for me to get a nice meal out of the lady. That way I can take my post in the sandy/leafy portion of the backyard. Cam never sees me there. I blend right in. Just like that critter in the movie "Preditor".

Bye for now, my furriends,

I was sitting in the rear portion of the backyard underneath a tree when the nice lady approached me.

She called me "camou" kitty and explained the reason why while she placed some moist food mixed with dry on a paper towel before me.

She said I blended in with the portion of the yard I usually sit in thus "camou" short for camouflage.

I told her I stay back there so Cammie Rose has a hard time seeing me. My multi-colored coat blends in with the sand and fallen leaves. I think it's working pretty well.

Cam surely scared the britches off me a few days ago. I decided not to hang around because of that. Of course, there was Hanna yesterday, and I was inside nice and dry (I won't say where).

Anyway, I let the lady rub my tummy and pet me. I purred and thanked her for the food. I groomed myself as usual and decided to stay for a bit longer.

I told her I may stop by tomorrow if the coast is clear.

I haven't seen Torbine Sue since September 2nd. I truly believe Cammie Rose scared her away. I hope not!

I know Torbie Sue is younger and had gotten away from Cammie Rose before she could jump her. It was I who broke up the fight by clapping my hands and saying "break it up girls".

Cam couldn't run fast enough to catch up with Torbie Sue who flew over the chain link fence and was gone.

Cam gave up. And she's not giving up staying at home more often to GUARD her turf. I don't think she wants Torbie Sue scarfing down the rest of her food anymore either.

Well, this weekend will tell if she shows up. Maybe Torbie Sue is hoping that Cam will "get over it" and is giving her a couple days to wind down.

This morning was not a good one. I was strolling through the lady's backyard in search of food . All of a sudden, and unexpectedly, I was confronted by Cammie Rose.

She wasn't a happy camper. She howled and got about 2 inches away from me. Her ears were flattened, back arched, and tail poofed up. She was ready to lunge at me when the lady came out of the back door and said, "break it up, girls". Cam kept howling and didn't back down. Neither did I. I played it cool by not howling nor flattening my ears. I stood my ground and stared at her.

Again, the lady said, "break it up girls" and clapped her hands this time. I bolted as fast as I could with Cam hot on my tail. I felt her swing at my butt, and I kept running. I saw the neighbor's chain link fence and jumped over it with no problem. Cammie Rose, because of her age, knew she couldn't make it over the fence as fast as I could and gave up before trying. I looked over my shoulder and saw her walk toward the house.

I think I'll stay away from that place early in the morning or in the alternative, I'll peek through the neighbor's fence to see if the coast is clear.

I don't want that to happen again. Cammie Rose, even for an old gal, has a mean streak. I know she didn't want me on her turf and was defending it.

Again, I have to be more careful where I walk.

Well, that's about it from me today.

By now, everycat as heard about Cammie Rose's and my confrontation near the back porch. It was about her breakfast.

She told me I could have it, but only after she left the porch. She didn't want me walking on her turf while she was there.

"Oh well," I told her and did an about face and crawled under the neighbor's wooden fence. I sat and waited on his front lawn 'cause I knew the nice lady would show up with some fresh food for me.

Sure enough, she did. She gave me a whole can of Fancy Feast cod, sole, shrimp. It was PAWSOME!

Also, after I had eaten, the lady picked me up and cuddled me. I looked at her with my emerald green eyes and sniffed her chin. She told me that I was a very nice girl.

She then put me down and stayed outside with me for a bit and then she had to go in 'cause the mosquitos were getting to her. They don't bother me, thank goodness!

Anyway, I stayed long after the lady had gone back into her house. I like that little sunny portion of her backyard and decided to sunbathe. Let's say, I call her yard my private beach 'cause there's a lot of sand toward the back portion.

Well, must go now. I hope to drop by tomorrow morning.

Purrs and Meeps,

At first I thought she was a stray
Now evidence points it's not that way
The beautiful girl stops by to grab more food
because she knows it tastes really good
Wherever her home is, she'll never say
But she's welcome to visit here any day.

Torbie Sue is a visitor and because of this, she and I have agreed to change the title of her diary to: THE BEAUTIFUL VISITOR'S JOURNAL.

I hope she drops by again today. I'll keep a lookout between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. That seems to be when she wants more food.

FURTHER UPDATE: I didn't see Torbie Sue during the times noted above. At 12 noon I looked out the window and found Cam's dish empty. Somecat ate it. Cam never cleans her plate.

I stopped by again Friday morning as the lady was getting into her car. She had to go to work and only had time to say "hi". Of course, she mentioned Cammie Rose left some "stuff" for me.

As to today, I gobbled up the rest of the food in Cam's dish. The nice lady saw me again and opened the door. To be safe, I ran.

Again, she met me in the driveway of the neighbor's yard. I let her pick me up and put me in her yard. Of course, I stayed until she came out with some moist food. This time it was some egg/chicken souffle which I devoured the whole 1/2 can she gave me.

Anyway, I posed for a few more pics and stayed in the sunny spot in the back yard for about 10 minutes and left . . .

Later,

Torbie Sue

MY NOTES: Torbie Sue had a fresh greasy spot at the back of her neck this morning. This is real proof that she has an owner somewhere in the neighborhood. I don't know who it is. One thing for sure, I'm not going to catnap her. Of course, she's welcome here anytime to get handouts as she's very hungry.

My "mommy on the side" as I've been calling her, was leaving for work as I ran from her back yard into the neighbor's front yard. She called me, "Torbie Sue" and I stopped near his sidewalk and sat down. I uttered several hearty, 'MEEPS". She told me she was on her way to work. She said there was extra food in Cammie Rose's dish and for me to help myself. I meeped again in response.

Anyway, I watched as her car drove off. I circled back and found the food still in the dish. I gobbled it all up . . . .

This lady truly believes I'm a moocher and not a stray.

Torbie Sue

MY NOTES: When I got home, Cammie Rose's dish was licked clean like it is every evening when I get off work. I don't think Cammie Rose ever eats all that stuff. I believe Tobie Sue comes here most of the time after I leave for work. When she dropped by last Saturday she came around 9:30 a.m. Today she was here 8:40 (and that's when I leave for work).

With the three day weekend coming up, I wonder if she's going to pay me more visits.

I haven't seen Torbie Sue Sunday or Monday. She may have stopped by while I was at work today and finished off Cam's crumbs.

While I was with her Saturday, she was very friendly toward me. It could be that I won her over when I fed her some chicken the last few times I saw her.

She purred, gave me leg rubs, and let me pick her up. If she were wild like Yingy was, she wouldn't have let me come close to her that soon.

Anyway, enjoy the few new pics I took of her. She's very beautiful and photogenic.

The great gray ball of fluff was staring out the kitchen door window at me while I gathered up a few crumbs from a bowl on the back porch. Cammie Rose, the nice girl kitty that lives there, always leaves me some of her food. She's really sweet to me.

I looked up with a start when I heard someone at the door besides the gray fluffmonster. It was that nice lady who fed me the chicken a couple weeks ago. But with my being cautious, I took off running before she could open the door.

I heard her coming and calling me "Torbie Sue" and "Pretty Girl" and so I decided to wait for her on the grass next to the neighbor's driveway.

She called me again "Pretty Girl" several times and I "meeped" in response. She walked up to me and I remembered her very well. I gave her headbonks on her hand and rubbed back and forth on her legs. She petted me and then she actually picked me up.

I let her do it too. She carried me and pet me while she told me I was a very pretty girl.

She carried me toward her backyard and I struggled a bit. I didn't scratch or bite her.

She then set me down on the grassy portion of her backyard and told me to wait as she had some food to give me.

I STAYED!!

When she came back, she had some stuff called Fancy Feast trout. I ate most of it. It was pawsome stuff!

When I got done eating, this lady took a lot of pics of me. Everycat, once you see my new pics, don't get put off by my tongue sticking out. I'm not saying "thffft" to anyone. That trout was excellent and the juices in it made me want to groom myself. It's just like eating tuna.

I'll try to stop by again real soon. I'm known as the "visitor". This nice lady believes I have another Mommy in the neighborhood. My job is to keep her guessing since she likes a good mystery.

Bye-Bye for now and of course MEEPS!

Torbie Sue a/k/a Pretty Girl

MY NOTES: I believe Torbie Sue has a home somewhere in the neighborhood. She is a cat that likes the outdoors like Cammie Rose, but since she's much younger, she likes to travel. Also, this little girl's paw pads are not caloused like Yingy's were and are soft as silk. This, to me, proves that she's not homeless. Also, there was a slight greasy spot at the scruff of her neck which shows that she's been getting flea treatment. Also, her ears and the rest of her are very clean.

I don't think the owner, whoever that may be, feeds her enough. Why else would she be seeking food from Cammie Rose or me?

Anyway, I'm not going to catnap this kitty, but will feed her when she stops by. All evidence that I found out today show that she has a home.

INTERESTING EXCERPT FROM SAMPY'S DIARY ENTRY OF 10/22/07

I was going through Sampy's entries and found one entitled, "Torbie". This entry was done on October 22, 2007! In here, he makes reference to the girl I named "Torbie Sue".

"Both Mommy and I saw the big girl kitty on the back stoop this morning. She was eating the remaining crumbs of Cammie Rose's breakfast.

This big girl looked so much like my angel sister, Jasmine Bibette (Beeta), it was unbelievable. For a minute I thought Beeta was back amongst us again.

If you cruise through Jasmine Bibette's page you will see that she is a multi-colored girl. In the cat fancy world, she was called a torbie or a patched tabby or a cali-tabby or a tortioseshell tabby.

Anyway, it's really strange 'cause Mommy told me she was talking about this stray torbie girl yesterday and she showed up today . . .

Mommy hadn't seen her in many months. This is about the third or fouth time she has stopped by. Mommy believes her to be a stray or a feral."

So there you go. This entry is an indication that Torbie Sue is a "traveler". She disappears for longer periods than Yingy ever did. She makes the rounds in the neighborhood.

I'm praying that nothing serious has happened to her, and hope that she visits me again soon.

I'll write again.

I can't figure out Torbie Sue. She was around for three days last week and was very friendly. I thought she would come back. She had me fooled.

I keep looking in the backyard for her. The leaves and the bare ground where I took many photos of her reflect the sunlight and when the wind blows slightly, I think she's there. After I take a closer look, she's not there.

Torbie Sue is a light rust color with a little black here and there. Her nose and forehead have the most unusual markings. It looks like a moth with folded wings is perched there.

Anyway, I keep praying that she's alright and will show up soon.

I noticed today that Cammie Rose was sniffing in the area where Torbie Sue sat on those three days last week. She, more than likely, picked up her scent. Perhaps Cammie Rose knows if Torbie Sue has stopped by while I was at work . . . .

Torbie Sue, please come back.

Pretty, pretty, pretty little Torbie Sue,
Oh Torbie, my Torbie Sue.

Okay . . . I miss her . . . what else can I say.

I haven't seen her since Sunday afternoon when she stayed and let me feed her, pet her and photograph her.

She let me rub her tummy (it wasn't fat nor did she carry milk) so that rules out her being pregnant or nursing). Hopefully, she's been spayed.

She let me touch her foot and I felt claws! Yeah! At least I don't have to worry about her being declawed.

I don't know where she went. I figured out with all the yummy food I gave her, she'd be back. All I can say is that she has other food sources besides me.

I hope and pray that she's doing okay and will show up tomorrow or this weekend.

She stoped by three times a week so far and it's been in the afternoon on Sunday and evenings on Wednesday and Thursady last week.

She knows she'll get first-hand food at those times. She may be stopping by to grab some of Cammie Rose's crumbs while I'm at work.

Anyway, she thanks MARGO for being her friend!

This is my first entry.

Let me introduce myself. I'm called Torbie Sue by this nice lady who started feeding me last Wednesday evening. Of all things, she gave me chicken!

Now that's a great way to win anycat's heart! I LOVED IT!

I decided to come back on thursday, and then I was traveling for several days.

I came back Sunday afternoon. When the lady approached me, I greeted her with my "meep, meeps". I did not run from her either. I knew she had some more good food for me.

She gave me a whole can of Fancy Feast beef and some dry stuff called Purina One. I ate it all!

Afterwards, I let the lady take a bunch of pics of me with her camera and phone. She told me something really cool: She said she would have me join Catster and make me a webpage so I can show off how pretty I am. I purred and let her pet me again as I did on Wednesday and Thursday.

That's it for now. I'm going to keep mine short.

Meep-Meep,

Torbie Sue
