I just don't know what to think about my Mom. I thinks she has gone bonkers.

This week she took me to the vet spa for a check up for my asthma. The vet lady was super nice. She gave me a shot for my breathing. I am breathing so muches better. Mom even had them trim up my man britches because I was a tad stinky back there. I don't feel bad, but I just don't have my Tigger on. I am a little sloppy in my grooming.

Well, when she came to bail me out of vet jail, she was sitting in the waiting room and she heard a tiny meow. It went downhill from there. She went over to investigate and low and behold she saw two tiny kittens in a small cage wanting OUT! She talked to them for a while and they came to an agreement, that if they were for adoption, she would take them.

Did she consult me or my siblings? NOOOOOOOOO. At least not directly. We had been talking about getting another kitten earlier in the summer, but I thought she forgot about it. As you can clearly see, she did not. Anyway to make a long story short---those two little stinkers are now my brother and sister.

They are about 7 weeks old and all legs and tail. They have little pot bellies on them. Not very fashion conscious. My new brofur is a yellow and white tiger strip and my new sisser if white with gray splotches. I have never had a brofur, only sissers.

Me and my sisser are not scared of them, but just don't know what to think of them. Funny, when we find kittens in the backyard we have no problem accepting them. But when Mom brings them home, we are not sure what to think. To say the least, our tails are out of joint. Mom says it will be okay, but I am still keeping an eye on her and THEM!

I have raised several kittens, but I just don't feel as good as I should with my asthma and I am getting older. We will see how it goes. But if I know Mom and I do, we will accept them with open paws.

Yesterday I was outside laying in the sunshine stretching and those two babes came over and layed beside me and started stretching with me. I don't think they have ever played in the warm sunshine. They have been at the vet's office for 4 weeks in a tiny cage. Now they have the run of the entire house and today they get to play outside.

As for me and my sissers, yes, we will accept them, but on OUR terms. I know my baby sisser Zippy will play with them when we all get to be better friends. Mom just loves baby kittens. Just not sure where they are sleeping---our bed is full.

Sometimes you have to wonder where humans get there ideas. I know it will work out, but dang, I don't like change.

I will keep you posted on these little stinkers. Wish me and my siblings luck!

I didn't realize it has been since October since I last posted. I apologize for the tardiness.

Well, my baby sister, Miss Indy had an accident in the street a couple days after Christmas. She was hit by a car. The entire family is devestated by the loss.

Mom went to look for her one evening and found her lying in the street. There was nothing that could be done for her. Mom brought her in and wrapped her in a towel and left her in the chair overnight. The next morning she took her to the vet to be cremated. I never saw Mom cry so much.

My sisser Zippy, to this day still looks for her playmate. There were best buds. They would run through the house and pounce on each other and go rolling down the hall. Then later they would crawl up in the chair and be sound asleep. The other cats knew she was gone, too. She brought so much life into our lives. Mom said that Miss Indy stayed with us until she got her orders to proceed on her next mission. Amazing how much one little tiny kitten can make such a huge impact on a human and siblings. I miss the little stinker a lot.

Mom has made a promise to all of us, that later this spring we are going to adopt another little kitten. Right now we are in the middle of remodeling our garage into livable space. When the contractor comes each day, all of us kitties (5 to be exact) make a mad dash to the bedroom and crawl up into the box springs of the bed and sleep there until he goes away. We are such scaredy cats. When Mom comes home, she has to coax us out from under the bed. We love the extra attention she gives us.

As for me, I am still fighting asthma. I still take my pill each morning like a good little trooper. The pills really do help me breathe better. I am so ready for spring. It need to start canvassing the yard to find a couple good places to start spending my afternoons when I nap. I prefer the tall grasses under the tree in the back yard. I can hide and still scout all the happenings in the yard.

I promise not to wait so long to post about the happenings on Rolling Road in Cortez, Colorado.

Meows and Purrs!

Mom tamed the wild kitten. I knew she would. It didn't take her but a week and they little kitten was coming in the house acting like a big kitty.

Mom left for a couple days to go shopping and left us in the care of your wonderful Neighbor Lady. We like her alot. She comes over and feeds us and talks to us and we get to sleep in our own bed! Who us, spoiled. You betcha!

Anyways, while Mom was gone Miss Indy (short for Miss Independent) got spooked and hid. When Mom came home, we could not find Miss Indy. Mom was very upset that she left when Indy wasn't quite tame. Mom came home on a Friday afternoon and we looked for her until dark. We didn't find her. We looked all day Saturday and well into the night. Mom was heart broken. Then for some reason Mom got up at 3 in the morning just to check and see if Miss Indy was home. She flipped on the back porch light and just as she did, she caught a glimpse of a gray steak. Mom yelled out, "Indy, is that you?". The little streak came to a screaching halt and saw Mom and came in the house and brushed up against Mom and when Mom snatched her up, she just melted and started purring. Needless to say, those two bonded like crazy glue. Mom fed Miss Indy and made her stay in the house until morning. We all went back to bed and I bet it wasn't 10 minutes later and that little stinker was up on the bed snuggled up around Mom's neck purring like crazy.

Before Miss Indy went on her trip, she wouldn't let Mom pick her up. She had to be plucked up when she was eating and then it was just for a few short seconds. I don't know who was more happy to see who. But that morning, Miss Indy was so happy to see Mom. I don't think we have got her filled up yet.

If that critter every fills out her long leggy body and huge paws, she is going to be bigger than me...and that is huge! We all love our baby sisser. Her and Zippy love to rumble and chase each other. My other sisser, Yakkie is teaching her how to guard the bed so know one steals it. Yakkie has been guarding the bed for almost 10 years and no one has stolen it, yet. She wakes up and has breakfast and helps Mom make the bed and then off to sleep. Miss Indy has the sleeping part down pat. Scooter and Pokey simply tolerate her.

As for me, I have been diagnosed with asthma. I have to take a pill every morning. I let Mom think she is cool when she gives me my pill. I come in every morning and let Mom love me while she is still in bed and stroke me and then she pops the pill in my mouth and then pets me some more and then we start the day. I know the pills work. I start hacking when I don't take them.

Well, cats of the world, looks like it is time for my snack and maybe a short nap before I go to bed. Sorry it has been a while since I updated you on my sisser. Some times my Mom is a lazy behind. But I love here anyway...flaws and all.

Purrs and High Fives!

Looks like I am getting a new brother or sister. Last week Mom found a tiny kitten hanging out in the garage. So, naturally Mom put some food out and the little critter woofed down an entire can of Fancy Feast. Over the weekend Mom snatched the little one up while it was eating. After talking and playing with the kitten, it finally purred. From that moment on, that little kitty's life changed.

It is still wild, but I know Mom. It won't take her long and that little stinker will be as spoiled as me and my sisters. Don't know if it is a he or she. Gray tiger strip with cream overtones. But we did notice one thing...it has huge paws. Mom said it was a taradactyl or something like that. A dinosour?

Two years ago my sister Zippy appeared in the backyard. Oh and by the way, she is still defective. She will not purr or meow. Once in a great while she will sputter or growl. Then two years before that my other sister Scooter appeared out of no where. Every two years we seem to increase the orphanage. That is okay by me. I likes little kittens.

I will keep you posted on the progress of this critter and Mom. But we do know Mom will win!

Boy oh Boy, was my baby sisser in trouble last night. Thought Mom was gonna to send her back to the orphanage.

Mom was sitting at the computer when Scooter came tearing in the house. She was around Mom's feet, like she had lost something. Mom scooted back her chair to see what Scooter was looking for and felt something wiggle up her pant leg. She jumped back and shook her leg and a little brown and white mouse dropped out.

Mom started yelling at Scooter to get the mouse. It wasn't that Mom doesn't like mice, she was startled. Scooter froze. She would not go after the mouse. She went and sat on the ironing board and Mom would go grab her and put her in front of the mouse, but to no avail, Scooter wouldn't chase the mouse. The mouse went into the closest, so Mom moved everything out of the closet, keeping an eye on the mouse. Then Mom went and got my baby sisser "Zippy" and told her to get the mouse. She tried, but the mouse got past her and got in a corner and then I came around the corner and butted heads with her and the mouse ran down the hall and under the easy chair.

Mom moved the chair and Zippy was after the mouse. The other cats were up on the furniture watching the rodeo. Zippy chased the mouse into a corner and the mouse keep squeaking. Finally Mom grabbed the trash can and was trying to get the mouse into a corner. Just as the mouse got in the corner and headed for the trash can, that dang mouse jumped over the trash can and ran behind the TV. So Mom pulled the TV out and Zippy was right there. The little scared mouse tried to hide under a lamp, so while the mouse was hiding, Mom went and got ther bestest BBQ tongs and came back. Believe it or not, that silly mousey was still there. Mom plucked up the mouse by his tail and put him in the trash can and carried him outside.

You see, Mom hates to kill anything. She really didn't want the mouse in the house because she was afraid he would want to sleep with us.

This morning, the first thing Zip did when she got up, was to go look in the closest for another mouse to chase. Zippy is usually outside under the tree watching the birds. The other day Mom had to go across the street and make Zippy come home. She was at the neighbor's parked under the bird feeder.

With a house full of cats, there is never a dull moment. The other day Mom found a dead robin partially under the bed and a dead mouse in the living room. Must be spring...our hunting instincts are popping out.

Well, Catsters, time for me to hit the hay. Better go check on my sissers to make sure they haven't brought any critters in.

Good Night!

Golly, this sure has been a long winter. In fact, it was blizzarding this evening. As much as I love sleeping on my Mom's bed all day, I am so tired of being in the house. I prefer to be out tending my yard. I have tons birds to check up on. This winter we had some really big birdies in the yard. Mom says they are Robins, look like supper to me.

I love sleeping outside during the day when the flowers are blooming and the sun feels so good on my backside. Mom has always told us kitties that Mr. Sun gets up each morning just so he can shine on us kitty's butts. She even tells us that the sunshine and fresh air makes us purr better. I have to agree with mom, for once. I feel like a kitten when I come in from lounging in the sunshine.

Well, my baby sisser will be 2 this summer and that little stinker still won't meow. She sometimes lets out a whimper when Mom doesn't feed her fast enough, but no Meow. I still think she is defective, but Mom won't let me send her back because we don't know where she really came from. I will just have to keep whipping her butt in hopes she will go running to Mom and meow to her that I am a mean big brother. I think I am pretty safe.

My other 3 sissers are doing just fine. I think they are ready to go outside and enjoy the sunshine, too. Yakkie has even been going outside on her own to go tinkle before Mom tosses her out for the past couple weeks.

Well Catsters, time for bed. Cat you later!

Think Spring and warm weather!

Hey all my Catster fur-riends!
Been along time since I have been able to get Mom to help me with my diary.

I tell you, we celebrated New Years in grand style. We stayed home and were in bed my 10:00. We were so excited to see 2009 go away. We had a very sad year.

In June of 2009 we lost Grandma and in August we lost our favorite uncle. I have never seen Mom so sad. She said that Grandma just wore out, she was 80 years old but our uncle was only 57 years old. He got up one morning to fix breakfast and sat down and died of a heart attack. No warnings at all. Mom was very close to her brother.

I really liked my Grandma. My two younger sisters never got to know her. About 2 years ago, Grandma quit driving her car so she didn't come visit. She was getting a touch of "old timers" and couldn't remember certain things.

One evening she got mad my my uncle because he had fixed her a bowl of soup and she didn't want to eat. She was on oxygen 24/7 and her hose was long enough to go outside and sit under the tree and read. She went out the door and he went to look for her about 15 minutes later. Well that spunky ole gal had unhooked her hose from her oxygen machine and took a walk. My two brothers and sister searched for her for hours. They finally call Mom and she immediately called Search and Rescue and she was gone all night looking for Granny. About 8:30 a.m. Grandma was found about 50 yards from the house sitting under a tree. Being outside all night and without her oxygen, and she was FINE. They whisked her off to the vet (hospital) and checked her out. When she got home, Mom asked her if she didn't see all the police cars and lights? Grandma said, yes, but she wasn't ready to come home.

After that night, it seemed like Granny's heart just got weaker. One night they flew her to another town because they thought she was having a heart attack. Mom was beside herself. She was in the hospital for about 2 weeks. She finally got to come back to her home town and was in rehab trying to get her heart stronger. Mom was so happy one day that Grandma got to come home for a few hours. They had a fried chicken dinner. That is what Grandma wanted. That was the last meal my Mom and aunt and 2 uncles had with there mother. She went back to rehab only to be released to come home full time and she stepped wrong and cracked her hip. That was on a Saturday. She had surgery on Sunday afternoon. Mom went out to see her on Tuesday. She said they had a great talk. She said Grandma wanted to know all about us kitties. (One of my sissers was at the vet's in ICU). When Mom came home, there seemed to be a peace around her. The next morning, Grandma's heart gave out.

Mom had not gotten over these two losses. Us kitties try to fill the emptyness. We hate to see mom so sad. Mom says it will just take time. But she knows were are here for her. Sometimes she gets carried away with all the hugs....

And for my sissers. My babiest sisser still won't talk. She utters a few sounds, but NO meows! My other three just get lazier and fatter. Of course, I can't say much. We have had so much snow, it has been no fun going outside.

As for me, I was diagnosed with asthma. I have coughing spells. Mom took me to the vet and I am taking pills for a while. Good thing I am so good natured when Mom chokes the pills down me.

Sorry this was so long winded. I hope I can get Mom to help me a little more often. This household has lots going on, but I will save that for later. With five of fur babies, there is always something happening.

Cat you later!

I thinks me baby sisser is going to be okay. Mom was brushing Zippy the other day and she made a squealing sound. Mom has been trying to get her to talk for almost a year. This is the closest she has come to talking, so we are planning a big party.

All of us cats have talked since we were babies. When Mom has company and we walk by, she makes us say hello. We like to talk to our neighbor lady. She visists with us, too. When Yakkie was at the vet, everyone in the office just laughed at the conversation Mom was having with her. They just rattled on like they hadn't seen each other in months. When our neighbor lady had her kitty, Mom taught him how to talk. Sometimes the neighbor lady would tell mom she wished she hadn't taught Tom how to talk, because he won't shush us. Some cats are talkers and some aren't.

Now, take my sisser Pokey. She is a real talker. When Mom walks in the door from work, P meets her at the door and starts cranking at her. They have one heck of a discussion. P is mad because she is hungry and Mom is trying to unload her packages to get her something to eat. Usually not fast enough. The tone of her meows, gets her in trouble sometimes. Snippy little devil is what Mom calls her.

Scooter, she really doesn't have much to say. But when she does, you can't shut her up. Kind of like me. I don't talk very often, but when I do, I am like a babbling brook. If people ever heard Mom talking to us cats, they would cart her off to the looney bin. She is always saying to us, "You think I am crazy to talk to you? Well you are the one answering me".

Well, guess I will go make some plans for the "Meow Party" for Zippy. Oh, and another thing about that little stinker, she has decided she likes to be brushed. That means I get bumped to the back of the line. Oh well, her attention span is still pretty short, so her brushings don't last long.

Until the next chapter at Rolling Road.

Purrs and Meows,
Mr. Tigger

The hooman lady's mother has been failing for about a month. Her heart finally gave out on her. Grandma was in ICU after she fell and broke her hip. That happend on a Saturday. They did surgery on Sunday. My sisser Yakkie had been not feeling well for about a week. Mom took her to the vet on Tuesday and they said she was dehydrated and had a temperture. Mom went and visited Yakkie after work and they talked for a long time. They took blood and sent it off. Mom headed over to the hospital to visit Grandma. She said they had a great visit talking about all of us kitties. The next morning Mom got
the call from the hospital that Grandma was not going to make it. She made a quick call to the vet and found out Yakkie had an inflamed pancreas, but it was treatable with anitbiotics and she was going to be okay.

Mom got to see Grandma before she passed away. Mom was too busy the rest of the day to go visit Yakkie. She called the vet and they told her that Yakkie was in the best hands possible, not to worry.

Mom got to take Yakkie home Thursday morning. They had been giving her meds and rehydrated her and her purr was coming back. I could tell Mom's world was starting to get back in sync. She spent all day Thursday hugging and talking to us kitties. Our hearts broke for mom.

The funeral was yesterday and Mom was pretty numb. She brought home lots and lots of pretty flowers. She pretty much stayed close to us kitties and we gave her lots of hugs and kisses.

That was a lot for Mom to handle in a few short days. Yakkie is getting better every day. Tomorrow Mom takes the do hickey out of her front leg they used to pump "happy juice" in. Mom keeps saying that Yakkie was at the Spa getting her purr back.

Today, the sun came up and all of us kitties were laying right beside Mom on the bed and she petted all of us and thanked us for helping her get this this week. The power of the purr lives on!

My other sissers are doing good. My baby sisser gets in trouble quite frequently. She eats a couple pieces of shrimp and then takes a piece and plays "shrimp hockey" in the living room. The floors are really slick and that shrimp moves perty dang fast.

Sales have been pretty slow for a month, but this morning we sold a beautiful blue flowered quilt. That perked Mom up.

So glad we have Mom and Mom has us. It is a wonderful combination and it works!!

Better go take my nap. After all, it is Saturday!!

Howdy Purr Friends.
How times gets away from you when you are busy sleeping. I didn't realize it has been a few months since I contributed to my diary.

Things are settling down pretty good at my house. After we lost my oldest sisser, it took a while to get over that. All of my sisser are doing great.

I guess, since I am the "TOM" of the house, I am going to have to give my baby sisser, Zippy, some pointers on catching birds. Here calico heart is in the right spot, but I am not so sure about her brain. This past week she has been camped out under the Russian Olive tree trying to catch a bird. Last night she was laying low in the tall grass ready to pounce, but there were NO birds in the tree. I guess I am going to have to teach her the basics. Like, if there isn't a bird in the tree, don't bother. I have no doubt, she will catch a bird. As for me, tooooo much work. I am very happy sleeping my life away.

This winter we had three neighborhood strays spend time with us. I was not happy or amused with there presence. But Mom is a softie. She said that since all of us kittys were orphans, she would feed and let them sleep in the house at night. She says she hopes that if any of us kitties ever become lost, some nice hooman will feed and love us. I just don't like sharing my house with strangers. Luckly they understand they were NOT welcomed on the bed. A couple of times the strays got in fights in the house and Mom was very mad at all the cat hair on the floor. Us smart ones just watched them duke it out.

Well, I hear the hooman lady is going to be on vacation (whatever that is) next week. I am totally dreading that. She thinks it is soooo funny to come in when I am sound asleep and ask me what I am doing. She knows darn well I am SLEEPING. DUH!!! She does it to all of us. Guess she is bored? Maybe I will fool her and hide outside in the tall grass and coach Zippy.

I guess today is my birthday. We really don't know when I was born, so Mom just picked out a date. Doesn't really matter to me, because my life is just one big party. I love my hooman lady and my sissers. I have a very good home and life. I am one of the lucky ones. In fact, all of us are lucky, because we are adopted.

Time for another nap since Mom is still at work for a couple more hours.

Happy purrs and meows to everyone. Be sure to check out all the great organic catinip toys and quilts in my shop on Etsy. You can shop at www.coloradocatniptoys.etsy.com.

Is life ever normal when you have a human for a Mom and four sissers? Since the last time I wrote in my diary, I lost my oldest sisser. She had been going down hill for quite some time. Mom took Modey to the vet just before Christmas and did blood tests. The vet confirmed what Mom was afraid of, her kidneys were shutting down.

Mom brought Mo home and we took care of her. She lived on the heat pad that Mom made into a bed for her. She would get up to eat, drink and use the poopy pan. She just got weaker and weaker. Finally on the 4th of February, Mom and Modey came to an agreement, she was hurting a little more each day. So on the 5th of February, Mom took my sisser to the vet for the last time. It really tore Mom up. She has had Mo for 19 years. They were the best of friends. We will hold a party this summer and scatter her ashes in the backyard.

My other sisser, Scooter has been down for almost two months with a sore paw and a rotten cattitude. Mom would try to pet Scooter and she would show the claws and teeth. So Mom left her alone as much as possible. Scooter would not get out of bed and come have breakfast with us other kitties. She would stay under the covers on Mom's bed all day and most of the night. Mom would have to get her up to eat and go outside. Mom did take Scooter to the vet for her paw, but they didn't think anything was wrong.

Mom finally has decided that Scooter did have a sore paw, but at the same time was jealous of my baby sisser, Zippy and Modey was affecting her. Since Moday has been gone, a little over 2 weeks, Scooter has slowly come out of her depression. This morning her and Zippy were tearing through the house chasing each other. Scooter will come and sit on Mom's lap and love on her now. It is such a great change in Scooter. I think she was really bummed by Modey being sick. You can't figure us cats out.

As for me, I am doing great. The other day an intruder cat came through the cat door and we tangled. Mom was none to happy with me when she got home and saw all the cat hair on the floor. But, Mom, I was defending MY turf. The nerve of THAT cat to come into MY HOUSE and attack me. After I explained that to Mom, she gave me a big kitty hug. After all, I am the "CAT" of the house. Watching out for my sissers. Except sometimes, I sit back and let my sissers fight my battles for me. I am getting old and I don't bounce back as quickly as I used to from them rumbles.

I have been catching up on my missed cat naps. We were very busy for a couple months with our catnip shop on Etsy. We made a lot of kitties happy over the holidays. Things have slowed a bit, so I can catch up on my naps. If you would like to check out our shop, you can find us in the Catster Marketplace under Colorado Catnip Toys. Our direct address is www.coloradocatniptoys.etsy.com.

Well, off to take a nap before my 10 o'clock snack. The life of a CEO is always busy and needs sleep.

Cat you later,

Greetings Meows,
I have a couple more days of pills and I will back to "Tiggering" 100 percent. I hope I never get sick again. It is no fun! I hate it when Mom makes me swaller them pillz. Icky!

On to my family. We are all doing good. Even my sisser Modey. She is staying about the same. Mom brushed her this evening and you could see it perked her up. Zippy, my youngest sisser has officially "adopted" Mom. Kind of like the commercial on TV when the dog won't play with his new owner when first adopted, then the dog comes and jumps on the couch with him. Zip is a lot like that, but, a cat. She has decided it is cool to get on the computer table and lay between the keyboard and the monitor. She just lays there teasing mom. Then yesterday, Zip also was helping Mom sew. That doesn't always work. Mom was having trouble keeping little paws away from the needle. Speak of the Devil, Zippy is teasing mom right now at the computer. She sits in front of the monitor and mom can't see what she is typing. Silly kitten!

My other sisters have been pretty lazy this winter. Yak NEVER leaves the bed. Mom made the mistake years ago of telling Yak her main job in life was to make sure no one steals the bed. I tell you, that cat does her job to the letter. She gets up long enough in the morning to eat and them back to her job. Very dedicated. My other sisser, Pokey is about to get on moms bad side. She has a bad habit of jumping on mom's back and scaring her to death. Poor mom, she looks like someone has scratched her up. My other sisser, Scooter is a mess in her own right. She loves to rub noses with mom. She must be an Eskimo kitty. Every morning her and mom have a morning chat while mom is on the potty.

As you can tell, never a dull moment at this house. Yesterday I think all the stray cats in the neighborhood was hanging out in MY living room. Everytime Mom would could come from sewing, there was a different cat sleeping on the couch. I think some of them spent the night. They kept mom awake most of the night. Them dang cat doors.

Well, I am headed off to snoozeland. Hope everyone is doing as fine as me and family are!

Many Meows and Purrs to All!

Merry Catmas to all my cat friends. I have such a long terrible week. I have been down with a throat infection. I guess I was hacking up too many hairballs and I got a sore throat and that turned into infection.

Let me tell, you...I was one sick puddy cat. My baby sister still doesn't understand why I don't want to rumble. I was invisible for a couple days and Mom took me to that place just down the road. I felt so bad, I really can't tell you very much. I do know they stuck something in my hinny. I had a temp of 104. Mom and the vet just looked at each other, yes I was totally out of it. I remember them poking me in the neck and putting some gel junk under to skin to make me hydrated. Then...I got a shot. OUCH! Mom has to force pills down me twice a week.

Last night she got out the brush and boy did that perk me up. I can't refuse a good brushing. I am getting my purr back. I even woke mom up early this morning to wish her a very Merry Catmas. She said that was the best present ever.

My sister Modey is not doing good at all. Mom took her to the vet last week too and her kidneys are shutting down. I feel sorry for both mom and Mo. Those two are connected in such a way, even I don't understand.

Boy, it sure is nice to be getting my purr back. I miss EATING! Mom brought me some turkey from Grandmas. YUMMY!!

Well, just wanted to let everyone know I am up and around again. Better go get my 6 pm nap in so I can go to bed after while. Keep your paws crossed for my sister Mo.

Mom just got back from the vets office and said they were going to do blood tests on my sisser. The vet thinks by looking at her she has sore teeth causing the sore on her nose and a general infection. The vet thought her kidneys were okay for now. They will know when they read the blood test. Thought they would put her on antibiotics for two weeks and go from there.

Mom is feeling happy, but at the same time, mad at herself for not taking Mo in sooner.

I will keep you posted on her recovery!

Mom is about to go crazy! My baby sisser is still not talking. All of us cats talk up a storm, but not Zippy. I heard mom explain to Zip that she needs to learn to talk so if she ever got lost and we went looking for her, she would be able to yell back at us. But so far, she is mute. The purr button works overtime.

Mom is kind of sad. My sisser Modey, that is 18 years old is falling apart. She is not perking very good. Mom is afraid her kidneys are shutting down. Mom is taking her to the vet in the morning to get a second opinion. I can see the sadness in Mom's eyes when Mo is sleeping on her heating pad on the couch and looking so peaceful. She has had a couple bad spells lately. Mom just doesn't know what to do. She keep hoping that Modey will call Mother Nature and they will make the ultimate decision. If her kidneys are shutting down, we are going to bring her home and make her as comfortable as possible until the very last moment. I don't really like my sisser, but I am sad when my mommie is sad.

Can you believe the Marketplace. That is so great. Since it opened on Saturday, Mom said we have sold three kitty quilts and one cat toy to Catster members. We are walking in tall catnip at this house. I just hope we can keep it all handmade and no commercial junk.

Well, it is time for my 7:30 nap. I hate to miss my naps before bedtime because I will be super grumpy in the morning. Mom has tomorrow and Friday off and we are going to make more kitty quilts. I love helping mom sew. I get to do the testing. It is a very tough job, but someone has to do it. I am an expert when it comes to sleeping on comfy beds.

Meows and Purrs to all you cats!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to tell every cat that I am so proud of my baby sister, Zippy. She has mastered the cat doors. In fact, I don't think Mom can hear here when she comes in. The other morning, Zippy went outside and Mom was in the bedroom looking out the window and Zippy was there. Mom just waved and told Zip she knew how to come, that she was not going to open the window for her. I bet it wasn't 30 meows later and Zippy as at my Mom's feet. Startled Mom when Zippy rubbed up against her. She is a smart one.

Now, if only she would meow. That really has Mom bugged. I guess she just doesn't have much to say. I know one of these days she will learn so many words, she will a chatty catty.

Mom says I am going to be really busy this weekend. We have three special orders to make. One large kitty quilt, one really large catnip mat and another mat. Those won't take long, it is the 100 or so catnip toys she has to make and I get to test. I am quite pawsitive it will cut into my napping time. Oh well, the life of a business cat. If you would like to take a peek at the catnip toys my family makes, check out our website. www.coloradocatniptoys.etsy.com. Mention you are a member of Catster when you order, and I will pay shipping. Mom says there will be an extra bonus in all of us kitties Christmas stockings for helping her make stuff to sell.

As for my older sister Modey. She is hanging in there. I can tell she is getting weaker every day. She has a very strong heart. She doesn't want to leave her mom. Those two have a really strong bond. All of us kitties have strong bonds with our mom, but each bond is different.

Looks like it is about time for me to make the rounds on the yard and check out all the bushes so I can come in a take a nap before it is time to eat supper and go to bed.

I appreciate everyone that takes the time to read my silly diary. It is a cool place that lets me express my fun side.

We got a couple inches of snow this morning and I love it. I love being out when it is cold. This was a life changing experience for my baby sister, Zippy. She has never seen snow and it was quite a shock when Mom put her out to pee. She wasn't sure she wanted out in the cold. We have been teaching her how to use the two cat doors to come in to the house. Mom was hoping she would use the doors this morning, but she didn't. So Mom put me out with Zippy so I would show her how to use the doors. I thought she was behind me, but I guess not. Mom had to go find her. Mom showed her how to use the doors again. When Zippy got in the house, she thought Mom was mad at her. When she got the chance, she jumped on my other sister, Modey's heating pad to warm her paws.

Just the look on her face, she was sure Mom was mad at her. I know she will learn the cat doors pretty soon.

Modey is hanging in there. We keep thinking just any day, will be her day. She sleeps on the heating pad on the couch. She still eats, drinks,
and used the poopy pan. Just about every morning she jumps up on the bathroom sink to greet Mom when she gets out of the shower. Mom is hoping Modey and Mother Nature make the ultimate decision.

Well, been pretty calm on Rolling Road. Getting ready for all those long winter naps in the nice warm house. Sometimes Mom leaves the electric blanket on for us. How warm is that.

Back to my nap. I hate it when I miss a nap or two during the day.

Hi everyone!
Yesterday was certainly a cat-tastic day for me and my family. I felt like I was King for the day. What an honor to have my diary selected.

I got a lot of support for my "defective" sister. I know she is not defective and so does Mom. Zippy is just so busy teasing all of us and running through the house and just being a kitten to talk. But boy can she purr. Everytime Mom feeds her, her little motor is on high speed. Just give her time and she wil be "Chatty Katty".

Mom is so good to us kitties. We all help her make catnip toys and kitty quilts to sell. This fall she got tired of dragging all the sewing machines and tables and equipment into the living room where the TV is and she can see out the window, so she had a new window installed in the craft room. The new window is just the height of the table and us kitties can sit in the window and talk to mom when she is sewing. She can look out the window into the back yard. I love taking my nap on her sewing table when she is sewing. I get pretty exhausted since I am "product quality tester". That is a lot of sniffing of the toys and laying on the quilts. But I love helping mom.

If you would like to check out our full line of catnip toys, kitty quilts and catnip mats, go to our catnip shop on Etsy. www.coloradocatniptoys.etsy.com. If you find something you like, Mom is giving all Catsters free shipping. It is easy to sign up on Etsy.

Well, I have a busy day today, with all the napping and stuff, so I had better get busy. Getting all my naps in is sometimes hard especially when I have Zippy in the middle of me wanting to play.

Well, that is all for now from Rolling Road in Colorful Colorado.

Meow,
Mr. Tigger

MEOW! Mom just told me my diary was picked for the day. That is so funny. Only this morning Mom and I were wondering if kitties ever read my writings. And now this...Cosmic!

Now for an update on my sister. Mom thinks Zippy is defective. That little mess has not mewed a meow. Mom is getting worried. All of us cats talk up a storm from time to time. Zippy just doesn't have anthing to say, just yet. She will start talking. I know how
purr-sistant my mother is.

But with the weather turning colder, we have another glitch with the kitten. When the bedroom window gets closed, we have to use two cat doors to come in or go outside. We have worked with Zip a little, but she just doesn't seem to grasp the idea. We showed her last night and then when Mom went to look for her, she was outside shivering.
The weather is suppose to be warm this weekend, so Mom is planning on working with Zippy to master the cat doors.

My two sisters, Yakkie and Pokey are pros at the cat doors. In fact, when mom was installing them (she is quite handy) those two were in and out constantly before she got them totally installed. I know once she starts watching us "pros" she will learn the doors quickly.

I really hate to see the bedroom window shut. But it does get cold at night. Silly mom, she even dug out the electric blanket last week. I guess us cats were getting cold and snuggled up close to mom and she got too hot. She put the blanket on "our" side of the bed. It is so warm and toasty. But I must admit, I do like to snuggle up against mom.

Well, I don't know what to say. This such a great honor bestowed on my and of course my mother. She helps me with the spelling and typing. Pokey is a really fast typist, but her spelling is awful.

Meows and purrs to everyone who reads my life story. I truly live a cat's life.

Meow,
Mr. Tigger

She tried for over a week to log on and help me with my diary, but she couldn't remember her password. She even had the wrong email address and we couldn't get into get everyone caught up on my baby sister.

Ah yes, my baby sister. She is such a mess. She has brought life back to this house. She is so much fun, except when I am trying to nap. I will say this for her, she is very persistant. She learns pretty fast. Mom has been coaching her on how to use the two catdoors to come into the house. She knows the one, but I am sure she will master the door from outside to get into the garage real quick.

My other sister, Scooter, isn't sure she likes NOT being the baby. She was the baby for three years. But her and Zippy get along pretty good. My other two sisters are in a world of there own. Yakkie and Zippy seem to hit it off pretty good. Pokey won't give her the time of day. And as for my older sister, she is not in good health. She spends her day on the couch on the heating pad. She goes from the couch to the litter box to the food dish. She still eats like a horse, but is showing her age. She is about 18 years old. She has never been a very social cat when it came to us kitties. She truly loves mom. I hate to see the day when it is her last day, mom will go to pieces.

Well, I think mom wrote down the password, so I can keep writing about my life.

Cat you later

Once Mom got Zippy tamed down, it sure didn't take long for her to take over. She thinks she is a big kitty now. The other morning Mom was leaning out the bedroom window to see which cats were fighting, and Zippy was under the window. There is a large tree stump under the window for us big kitties to jump on to come in the window. You see, there is not screen on the window. Mom says it was easier to take the screen off then it was to get up in the middle of the night to let us in or out. Any who, Zippy climbed up the stump and mom grabbed her and brought her in the house Big mistake! The next morning we were all sitting up in bed talking and looking out the window and guess who jumped in the window. She just about didn't make it, but she dug her claws in and pulled herself in the window. She thought she was so cool. I guess there isn't anything she can't do now. She still sleeps outside. I am sure that is about to change. Mom is letting her decide where she wants to sleep.

Last night it was way past bedtime, and Zippy was outside chasing bugs. Mom asked her where she was sleeping. She just looked at mom and continued chasing her bugs, so Mom left her out. Not real sure ifshe was in or out this morning. When Mom got home from work, Zippy was laying on the couch and just looked at Mom as to say "hi Mom, what you up to?" KIDS!

Mom says she will get pictures uploaded of all my sisters. I have one that is about 19 years old and not doing very good. I will be very sad when she leaves us. We never got along growing up, but I will still miss her.

Going to call it a night and go to sleep. Zippy wears me out!

Zippy is getting tamer. I knew my mom would tame her once she set her mind to it. After all, she tamed me. I used to be a mean little kitty bacause I was scared. I was the last one out of five to be caught. I had been on my own for a few days and I was hungry. But mom caught me and it took a few days to tame me, now I am just a lovable hunk of fluff.

Zippy will eat out of mom's hand now. She loves hamburger as a treat. Mom tricks her and gets her to come closer than plucks her up and my sister just melts and starts purring. Tonight while she was eating out of her dish, she let mom pet her. I think she is going to fit in real swell. She even thinks she is tough enough to take me on. I will let her think that for a while, and then I will put her in her place.

Well, I have had a busy days, with all the naps and all, I guess it is time for my to hit the hay.

I am never going to be the baby of the family ever again...another little orphan has adopted mom. I guess it is okay. This little gal is so tiny, I am almost afraid to play with her. She is a calico, most likely a female. She was spotted across the street by the neighbor lady and then a couple days later she was in my backyard. She is a wise one. Mom has been trying for almost three weeks to get her tamed down. She has caught her about a half dozen times, but she just doesn't want to tame down. Tonight, she had the never to come into the house and look around. Guess she was checking out the accommodations.

Mom hasn't settled on a name yet, We call her "LG" for Little Girl and then this morning she was running around the patio and I heard mom call her "Zippy". I am sure she will come into a name shortly.

I know my mom has a soft spot in her heart for strays, especially when they are tiny. After we adopted Scooter, now almost three years old, I remember mom saying that the next cat had to ring the doorbell before she would take it in. I guess she needs to take the sign on the back patio that says "We welcome strays" down. I will be okay with the newest addition. I pretty much stay to my self these days. I think it is the heat and age. I get cranky easily. But I will learn to love and tolerate this little mess.

Actually, it might be nice to have some young blood in the house. Sometimes us "old" kitties need a jolt and need to be reminded of how great it was to be a kitten. Running through the house and playing with the other cats and then dropping where we were playing and take those power naps.

Wish me luck with the little one. I guess one every three years isn't too bad, considering I was an orphan too~

The new bed mom bought works like a charm. I slept like a Lion King in the new soft fluffy bed. Even my sister Yakkie woke up purring and not hissing and growling. And the best part was mom sure did feel better!

My baby sister, Scooter has a sore paw today. I laugh at my mom at some of the things she comes up with. She asked Scooter if her paw was broke. Then she said "my paw was broken too"! Referring to Grandpa as being poor. I think Scooter will be just fine. She probably just landed wrong when she jumped. I know mom has looked at it and it is not swollen or anything like that. Give her a few more "Poor poorScooters" and a pat on the head and she will be back to new in no time at all.

It is so cool getting to tell my side of everyday life at Rolling Road. You should see my beautiful backyard. It is full of white daisies. I love to lay there and just look at them. My other favorite place to rest is under the big tree in the front yard. There are lots of bushes to hide under. The only two things mom really asks of us kitties is to check in with her when she first wakes up and when she get home from work. Other than that, we are free wildcats...ha ha.

Best get back to my naps. I hate it when I miss a couple in a row.

Till later

The new bed that mom ordered a couple of weeks got delivered today. I am so excited to sleep on the bed, providing I can jump that high. That new mattress is really tall. Might have to get up on the dresser and then jump down on the bed. I can get on the dresser real easy, just jump on the chair, then to the hope chest, then to the dresser.

I hope this new bed solves my mom's aching problems. Every morning when she gets up, she blames one of us for beating her up all night. I am also hopeful that my sister Yakkie will wake up in a happy mood instead of her usual "growling, hissing" mood.

I will keep you posted as to how we sleep tonight. I can hardly wait to get to sleep and dream. Maybe with a good nights sleep, I will actually cat that mouse that keeps teasing me in my dreams.

Meow,
Mr. Tigger
