Ok, you've probably heard Sammy's lame story about being scared of the dark and all, and falling out the window one night and getting lost. Well, here's the real story. We were sitting in the back bedroom. Sammy leaned against the screen with his big 'ole butt and he pushed the screen out! It just went POP and then fell outside, just like that. He immediately freaked out and started whining that it looked dark outside, and I said, "You're such a chicken!" He whined some more, so I just walked right by him and went outside. Just like that! I wasn't scared. I knew there was a big, big world out there, and I wanted to see it! I know he followed me, because I heard his big butt plop on the ground and he grunted a little bit, because he's too fat (note from Mom: Nigel's not exactly skinny...) I stayed out there for hours! I had a blast. I caught a mouse the size of a chihuahua... actually... it WAS a chihuahua. And all the lady cats in their windows were cat-callin' me. It was great! I hummed Stray Cat strut the whole time. Of course, I could tell Mom was a little bit worried, so after I made her suffer for a little bit, I went back home. For her sake, of course. I wasn't scared. Honest...

Luv,

Nigey Bear

Mom's note: Nigel and Sammy were outside for a maximum amount of time of 20 minutes. Of course, it was agony to me, also. But they were BOTH very ready to go back inside, and neither one liked the night life very well... no matter what he might say. :)

There are several new things going on with our family. We have new birdies. Yep... A birdie outside hatched her eggs. Her name is Penny and her husbands name is Pongo. They had a baby. One of them died. Mommy was sad. I was sad because that brought it to the possibility of there only being one baby bird to try to eat. :) But, check out Teddy's page if you want to see video of the baby birdie and Teddy. Mom says he got to star in his own nature documentary.

Another thing is Mommy is working a lot on our pages. She wants to make some slideshows with us and some cool music. She's added these cool playlists to our pages so you can choose the song you want to listen to, and it's random, so you never know what you're going to get when you go to my page. The videos are new, too. Mom is constantly following me around now with the stupid camera, begging me to do something interesting. I think it's funny to make her beg. MOL! Anyway, I hope you enjoy our new stuff, and keep a lookout for more! Love ya, Catsters!

My pal Teddy, or O'Teddy for Patty's Day, is at it again! Check out his page and see the cool video he did of me and the lovely Amelia Rose doing a cool dance for St. Patty's! I sure can move. MOL! Thanks a bunch, Teddy! What a cool pal, huh?

Unfortunately, I'll be a away from Catster for a few days. Now don't worry... I'll be back on Wednesday night. Meowmy is going away and won't have computer access so that she can do her Catster slave duties of catering to us. MOL! But I'll see everyone when she's back. Love ya!

Sorry, Mommy. You see, I've been having my "booger" problems again. Mommy thinks it might actually be allergies because it comes and goes so much. I'm unpredictable. Well, last night I had a couple of sneezy attacks and Mommy had to clean up after me. She's kind of used to that, but she still loves me. And then at night when Mommy was sleeping I hopped up on the bed to lay with her and then it happened. I was just standing there and I couldn't hold it in anymore! **ACHOOO**... And I sneezed on Mommy's face while she was sleeping! She was not very happy, and she was kinda grossed out! At least she knows I can't help it. They can't call me Fang anymore, but they'll always be able to call me Booger Butt, I guess. *shrug*

What is this horrible, awful, dreadful thing the humans call a "Holiday." Mine was nothing even remotely resembling a holiday. It was more like a prison sentence! First of all, Mom and Dad got worried about me on Tuesday. I had to go in to the Dr. because I was doing weird things with my mouth. I seemed to be hurting after my surgery so we went to the doctor. They put me on some more meds because it seemed I was just in a little extra pain healing and it wasn't a problem. They also gave me some of my vacs again, and those didn't agree with me. I started throwing up at night and I threw up EVERYWHERE! Now that I think of it, Mom looked a little funny sitting there watching TV with a bottle of Resolve between her legs waiting for me to throw up again. Mom and Dad got a little worried so they called the emergency hospital and they said it is common after vaccinations and they could either bring me in for some anti-nausea stuff or wait another half-hour to see. They decided to wait a little bit and then I drifted off to sleep and the worst was over.

But then the next day, Mom came home early from work. She kissed me and loved on me and I thought things were going great... but then she said something about having to go to a hotel. I thought Mommy was going to a hotel until she pulled out that blasted carrier, the bane of my existence!!! She put me in and packed a bag with my toys, my favorite blankie and some nip... oh and my soft food. At that point I knew this couldn't end well. She took me to a place called Caroline's Pampered Pets. Yeah right! If I wanted to be pampered I'd have stayed home with my bubbies and slept on my favorite couch cushion all day and night. Not to say this place wasn't fairly nice, but it wasn't home. And they didn't know how to give me my medicine. They didn't do it right and I hissed at them. Day 1 I was victorious. I didn't even have to take it, because everyone was too scared to try. MUWAHAHAHA! I had to stay there for 4 days! Hear that? 4 DAYS! I couldn't wait for Mommy and Daddy to come and get me on Saturday. Daddy even let me sit in his lap on the car ride home so we could cuddle. And then it was really good to be home. I didn't stay mad at them and I think that made them happy. Anyway, my nightmare is over.

Well, you won't believe it. I had an appointment on Tuesday just to check up on how I'm doing. The Doc knew she was going to have to anest-a-whatever me when I was in there because of a spot in the back of my mouth where my roots were exposed... whatever that means. All I know is I went to sleep and then when I woke up... I HAD FEWER TEETH AGAIN! They hadn't even warned me about this one... they just took a boys teeth when he was knocked out! How rude is that? Evidently Dr. Sherman called Meowmy while I was under and said that my lower canines looked good and the rest of my mouth was "quiet" where the teeth had come out already, but I was "issuing a pain response" when she poked around on my upper canines and all my incisors. I still appeared to have inflammation in my gums around those teeth, and she felt that it was time to take them out. So, that she did. I now have no upper canines (MY FAMOUS FANGS!) and she ended up taking out several of my little incisor teeth, which were all crooked and weird-looking anyway. So, now I'm post-surgery for the third time since April. *sigh* I wish they'd just take 'em all out and be done with it by this point. I don't have many left now, anyway... and only two big teeth. Daddy says since he can't call me Fang anymore because of my cool sabre-teeth I had in the front, he'll just have to call me Gumby. Well, take care every cat. My pain meds are making me sleepy, so I'm gonna go take a nap.

I’ve been tagged by my beautiful friend, Belle.

Here are the rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write in their own diary about the seven random facts and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your diary!

1. My name was Nigel in the shelter and Mommy and Daddy liked it so it stuck.

2. When my Daddy opened my cage door in the shelter I immediately stepped out and put both paws on his shoulders. He couldn't wait to take me home!

3. Since my adoption I've had to have all of my teeth removed except for my canines. I'z gots no toofers!

4. I scoot my butt on the carpet after getting out of the litter box. Mommy hates this. Why do you think I do it?

5. I'll play with anything. I play play play play play all the live long day. My mousies, the chirpy bird thingy, my brofurs... anything.

6. Mommy and Daddy wake-up time is Nigel lovey-dove time. I sit on their chest and headbutt them in the chin. Petting me is not an option, it's a demand.

7. I tried to escape last week during a storm. Meowmy opened the door and I bolted into the back yard. When she pounced on me I hissed and scratched her. Sorry, meowmy.

I hereby, by the power vested in my non-existent toofers, tag the following catsters:
1. Duchess
2. Mouse
3. Lakoda
4. Samson
5. Tina
6. Pipa
7. Snickers

Well, Catsters, things have been going pretty well. I've felt a lot better since gettin' all the bad teeth out. I've had fun with my brothers, and I even have a new sister, Adrian. Although I'm still not too sure about her. She's a doggie and, although she's pretty nice to us, we think she's weird. I just sit and stare at her most of the time, but I haven't gotten too close. I had another vet visit last week. It seems that I'll have to have a little bit more work done. I've got one spot in the back where something (bone, probably) is sticking up through my gums causing some more infection. I need to have some x-rays to see exactly what it is and then they may have to do a little "mini-operation." Doc says that my other side looks really good. No problems there. But, my canines may need to come out eventually. It seems I'm still getting a little red around that area and still appear to need antibiotics. We're just supposed to keep a close eye on things. Now I have a goofy gel that mom is supposed to put on my gums and then this weird gooey stuff she puts on my teefers once a week. She says that's the only upside to me not having many. I didn't think that was very funny, myself. Anyway, it's not quite out of the woods yet, but it's just a matter of time. No matter what, things are better. That's something to do a happy dance about. Anyway, if you have any doggie brothers or sisters, look up my sister. She's a lonely dogster! *sniff sniff*

Hello everyone. This is Nigel's mom, Amy. He is sleeping right now and probably wouldn't have very nice things to say, anyway. He's bunked out in his own room getting over his surgery. The doctors ended up taking all of his remaining back teeth, so now he just has his canines in the front, and we're glad he got to keep those. He really wasn't happy by the time 4:00 rolled around today. As I told my husband, I'd never seen anything "pissier" than that clump of gray furr in the back of the carrier. He "ultra"-hated meddies time today, because he got double meddies. But, every now and then he'll roll over and show me his belly and want a nice rub down, or he'll offer a sweet little headbutt. So, it's just a matter of time before he's himself again. He'll start feeling better day by day until he finally feels better than ever! Thanks everyone for purring for him. He loves you all!

Well, Catsters, big news. I'll be having my oral surgery on Tuesday! Wow! It's only two days away, I can't believe it. It was supposed to be a week from that day, but the hospital got an opening and fit me in a little early. I guess I'm just so used to the idea of having it that it doesn't really bother me now. I'm just waitin' to get it over with. Of course, I'll probably be put in a room by myself for a little while so that I don't "rough-house" with Teddy too much. I'm not supposed to do a lot or running and jumping after the surgery. I'll miss my brothers, but I know that Mommy and Daddy will keep me company. I'll just catch up on my sleeping *yawn*. But, wish me luck, cause it's finally gonna happen this time! I'll get back in touch when I'm back home and have nothing but time on my paws. *sigh*

Wow! I'm so excited I can't stop purring. Catster chose me as today's daily diary pick! This is the first time any of my family has gotten such a pawsome honor from Catster! Thanks to all the kitties who've made me feel special today. I gave Mom extra headbutts today I'm so happy. Even after she gave me my yucky meddies. But guess what she gave us this weekend? She went out and bought more food and stuff and she brought us a pretty new food bowl. It's blue and tan with pretty paw prints all over it. It is very very nice! If only she'd just fill it with nip, my life would be purrfect!
On another note, no news yet. We're just waiting on my surgery right now. I've got 3 weeks now before I have to go in. I've been feeling pretty good, though. I've been so playful that Dad says, "If this is him when he doesn't feel good I hate to see him in perfect health." He made Mommy laugh. To me it sounded like he was making fun of me, what do you think? Anyway, Catsters! Thanks for coming to visit me on this special day that I made Daily Diary pick! I'm so excited! Love and purrs to everycat!

*sigh* Well, Catsters. I know a lot of you have been wondering how I've been doing after my surgery. The good news is, there's been no healing to go through because there was no surgery. The day before I was supposed to go in they called Mom and told her they couldn't do it. They didn't have the right equipment (now that they really think about it!). So, they just left the name of a place on Mom's voicemail. Told her she should call them instead. Well, she did it even though there were some things that really worried her. That place said they were 3 weeks back with appointments JUST TO GET ME IN FOR THE CONSULTATION. Who knows how long it was going to take to get the procedure scheduled. So, Mom called my vet and then the other vet and then mine and then... you get the picture. Finally we got through and, after talking to my Dr., the Doc from the new hospital called mom a week later and told her she'd fit me in the next day for a consultation. Of course, she said the same thing. It needs to be done, I have some exposed roots in my back molars, x-rays need to be taken and all those teeth extracted. We knew that already! But they can't get me in until August 31st. So, for now we're back to meds every day to try to keep it from spreading even more. I don't really need to get in to the other part, but it really bothers me. You see, my pawrents pay monthly for my medical care at my other vet. That means the health plan covers the big parts of my surgery- the office visit, the anasthesia, and a big discount on any drugs and on the extractions themselves. Now, Mom will have to pay the monthly fee and will have to pay ANOTHER place the full price of the entire procedure, and it is pretty expensive. She's still waiting on an estimate from the animal hospital, but she and Daddy are kind of worried. Please purr for my family, Catsters. I know my pawrents are doing the best they can, but it may be really hard. They just started paying for our new house, as well as all the improvements they have to do on that. If they'd known that I would wind up being in this kind of trouble and that they would need this money for me, they probably wouldn't have bought the house yet. Thanks for being there, Catsters.

Lots of love and purrs,

Well, on Saturday I scared Mommy. After all the work we've done, something bad happened. She smelled my breath. Anyone who's ever had stomatitis knows that that isn't good. She called the V.E.T right away and made an appointment for yesterday. Daddy took me in and mommy met us there. The good thing is that I met a nice lady vet who was filling in for Dr. P. Her name was Dr. Henderson. She rubbed my belly and told me what a pretty kitty I am. But she made fun of me for having a bubble belly (I'm gettin' kinda pudgy...hehe). But she told Mommy and Daddy that my teeth need to come out (5 more for a total of 11). After next Friday I won't have any teethers left in the back. I'll just have to gum it all. I'm scared to lose those teeth, but I'll be glad when they don't hurt anymore. The worst part is that they put me on ClindaCure again. I HATE that stuff. It tastes like Drain-O. Thankfully, I don't know what Drain-O tastes like, but I don't think it would be good. YUCK! To make matters worse, when Daddy was taking me home I got really scared and kinda-sorta peed. I got messy and so did my carrier. So, after all the bad news and all the scary stuff going on, what do Mommy and Daddy do??? They throw me in the bath tub and DROWN ME! Ok, I'm overreacting a little, but it was CLOSE! Even after I protested, they just kept spraying me and rubbing this smelly stuff in my furr... Then when they finally let me go I felt awful, I looked awful, and Teddy was hissing at me cause I smelled weird. I didn't stay too mad at them, though. I'm a pretty laid-back guy. Everyone's always surprised at how tolerant I am. Just keep purring for me, guys. And think of me on Friday the 27th when I'm going under the knife. I won't feel too good for the next few days after that, and I'll be lonely having to spend the day in that scary place. At least I have my guardian angel kitty, Max, to look after me. I can beat anything now!

Purrs and mews,
Nigel

P.S.- We're in our new house now and I LOVE IT! We have so much fun there!

It went ok, I guess. It was what Mommy called a little "sobering" for Daddy. He took me there himself this time. It's usually Mommy. She said she didn't think that my condition had quite "sunk in" with him. The vet told him how I would probably have to lose all of my back teeth on one side of my mouth and another one on the other side of my mouth. That's a lot of teeth. She said it would seem that I'm just ultra-sensitive to the bacteria and that my snotty-head problems and my mouth problems probably won't go away but they'll just have to be treated. We don't know why I'm ultra-sensitive. I guess I just am. We don't think I have a virus. I guess that's good. I will just have to keep going to the nasty doctor all the time and I will keep having to get that icky stuff in the syringe. The good news is I am better today with my sneezing and snottiness. I guess maybe I'll have my good and bad days. Heck, I'll settle for some of each instead of all bad. Thanks for listening, Catsters! You're good friends!

Hello, everyone! I'm so glad to be a Catster now. I have been to so many new places and now I think I've finally found a family. It wouldn't be complete without all of you. Everyone else I'd ever met kept giving me away because I was so much of a "problem!" Now I come here and you all shower me with purrs and pretty gifts! Thanks so much. I'm feeling ok now. I'm not looking forward to going to the V-E-T on Thursday, but Mommy says it's necessary. Hopefully they will see that my mouth is a little better. I hope they don't say I need to lose more teeth. I'm sort of...attached to them by this point! Plus, I couldn't be FANG without my teeth. Mommy calls me that because I have really big and sharp fangs that stick out of my mouth. She says I look like a sabertooth tiger. I don't even know what that is, but it sounds cool! I will let you all know what happens on Thursday. Keep purring for me!

Love,
