It wasn't quite as traumatic as my little pal Newman’s scary stay in his closet, it was still pretty bad. The vacuum monster is in there!!! Yikes. Mom was looking for something on the shelves and I just sneaked in. After about 2 minutes she heard me scratching on the carpet and pawing on the door. She couldn't figure out what it was or where it was coming from. She thought maybe LuLu puked again and I was trying to cover it with the carpet or whatever is close by. She went downstairs to the bedroom, no Diego. I probably had to stay in there a whole extra minute before she figured it out. Duh! Mom is a bit worried about me. She doesn't think it is anything to worry about but I am being a little weird. I don't want to hang with mom upstairs on the couch, I would rather sleep on my bed on mom's bed. In the mornings when mom is getting dressed I am being extra extra needy. Probably nothing but my kitty mood changes but she is going to keep a good eye on me. I am so lucky to have such ... Snoopy. She did not pick him they brought him to her. Look at him and tell me who you think he looks like. ME!! Snoopy was previously owned by a homeless person so he never had a proper home. Poor little guy also just got over a URI and was skinny but so sweet. He just purrrrrrred and gave headbutts. A bunch of people came in the corral and visited with him which he enjoyed. He ended up being adopted by a very nice couple. The couple was looking for two cats and were torn between three. Another one was in the corral next to mom. They wanted to know if they would get along so they bravely passed the other kitty over. He went right up to Snoopy and they smelled noses and that was it. No hissssing, nothing. Snoopy purrrred the whole time. Yay!!! Both kitties went to a wonderful new home and have a bed to sleep in tonight. That was one of my birthday wishes. The second I won't know about until November 4th. Overall we had at least 7 cats adopted in the two hours but they are going to email us with an actual count tomorrow. The people visiting loved it and want the HS to do it again. Well, now that mom is FINALLY home I need her to love on me. It is MY birthday, at least for 3 more hours. Thanks again friends. Mom was hoping to meet his mom this weekend at the NW Pet & Companion Fair but they were volunteering on different days. Hobbes mom volunteers at Dove Lewis Animal Hospital. It is Portland's 24 hr Emergency Hospital but they do so much more to help animals in need. Too bad I didn't like it that much. Down south where Calvin lives, no stores carry the Tiki so they have to order it and pay shipping costs. Here are Calvin's concerns on the swap: "Will Diego be able to handle the wrath of Samoa? Will Fancy Feast be enough to keep him satisfied? Will LuLu be able to keep her paws off Gleek? Will Calvin get enough cuddle time and kisses from Diego's Mommy?" First off, he should not be worried about getting enough cuddle time with my mom. By the time CatSwap is over Calvin is going to beg to get away from her constant kissing. I am a bit worried about Samoa but I think we will be cool as long as she lets me play with her boas a bit. Here are my concerns. I will be the only B&W kitty. Will they think I am some kind of alien? Can they get Natural Balance Reduced Calorie food there or will it have to be ordered too? Hope all is well. I am a bit sad today as one of my friends is sick. We haven' ... Owen. He has been sick since last week not wanting to eat and when he did eat he would just throw it right up. Poor Owen, he had to take 3 trips to the vet and they did things like take X-rays, gave him a kitty ennema (YUCK) and then he had to drink barium for special x-rays. With the special x-rays the vet was able to see that Owen had eaten 2 sparkle balls that are now lodged in his tummy. Now he is in surgery and can't come home until Saturday. Poor little guy. This has all cost his mom & dad over $2,000 in expenses and that is a lot of money to come up with unexpectedly. Owen's mom is super crafty and makes really pretty necklaces. She is doing a special line of Owen kitty necklaces to try and raise the money to help with his bills. My mom has many of these necklaces and they are really cute. Maybe you want to do some early holiday shopping or just get one for the girls in your life.
