Napoleon used the downstairs bathroom without mistake 3 times on Wednesday. Thursday he also made a mistake else where. Today we are one for one.
On the more interesting side, Napoleon had his about fifth out door adventure today, on a harness and six foot kitty leash. There are bushes and tree lining the small back deck and driveway, which is fenced on both sides.
Napoleon has walked the entire perimeter of the property as of today. I will take some video soon of the outdoor adventures. The birds and squirrels become absolutely silent, you could have heard a pin drop the whole time Napoleon was outside. Smart birds.

For the past two days Napoleon has tried to use the toilet but he missed. He got some mess on the floor beside the toilet. At least he tried. Unfortunately he continued to pee in Cody's (dog brother) water dish. For this reason he was kept in the basement.
Tonight after a leash walk in the snow, he came inside and used the toilet properly. First he peed and I flushed and gave him lots of attention, and cleaned and refilled the bowl that was balanced in the bottom of the toilet.
Next I folded laundry and looked over when I smelled some kitten poop. There in the toilet was a good poop worthy of much encouragement. Again I flushed and cleaned out the water bowl at the bottom of the toilet. Dad is really proud of Napoleon who is now out of the basement for his good behaviour.

Within 18 hours of my setting up the basement bathroom for him, Napoleon has used the toilet for the first time.
To be fair, I have been moving his water potty closer each day to the basement bathroom.
Second, Napoleon is an F1 Bengal, i.e. his father is an Asian Leopard Cat, and they prefer to defecate in water to hide their smell from bigger predators.
