My sweetieSam wasn't able to make this trip :( I never mentioned where we were going so it was a total surprise when we landed in Thailand at the resort, OMC breathtaking is an understatement Thailand. Not only were Catini's ready (ok pina colodas) and waiting but there was salmon and piggies in a blanket..... MOL The water was shall I say, was refreshing! The "doggie" shaped air mattresses provided us the safety needed so we could relax, soak up the sun, and dip out tails. Frankie spotted a guest who appeared to be in trouble and with a SWOOSH he was off like a shot to help.....he Saved the day . The guest was so in awe of Frankie's prowess that after he caught his breath and recovered the two of them went off chasing moths and other insects....yuck!! OMC, upon landing I see Zoe Kona Sunshine. We grab Zach and Gris and off we go to nags head garden nc we had so much fun frolicking and playing hide and seek in these gardens........ after this we went on a tour of one of the many wineries in the area and boy did we sample the wine....MOL Golf courses, oh my there are so many fantastic courses to choose from. We snuck onto Pinehurst # 2 very early in the morning, the dew was so heavy that there was no point in playing hide and seek here! Hey, one of us even scored a "BIRDIE"! I was so tired that Zoe suggested a wonderful spot for a nap, take a peek, high point chest of drawers here's a bit of history on the this; The "Home Furnishings Capital of the World" is crowded with furniture manufacturing operations, pier wall bargain hunters, even a Furniture Discovery Center. So it should be no surprise that High Point has taken the lead in the big furniture battle with not one, but two giant chests of drawers. The original chest of drawers was built in the 1920s by the High Point Chamber of Commerce. The twenty foot tall building-with-knobs served as the local "bureau of information." In 1996, the building was completely renovated and converted into a 38-foot tall Goddard-Townsend block front chest. A real chest was used as a prototype -- it can be viewed in the Lobby of the local visitor information center.Two gigantic socks dangle from a drawer, officially symbolizing "the city's hosiery industry." It's an impressive leap from the old chest of drawers, clearly shoving the big chair brouhaha into a dusty corner. So we have to wonder how High Point officials felt when Furnitureland South, way out near the interstate, threw up their own chest of drawers -- over 80-feet tall. It's not freestanding, and is an attachment to a big furniture store, but c'mon... it's twice as big! Since the fabrication technology exists, the next step is obvious. Turn every building in downtown High Point into a piece of American Colonial furniture.
