Angel Lola reporting on my fun-filled Monday (or Funday!): Beautiful FurAngelGirl McKenna took me to the Heavenly Mall! It is SO AWESOME! I think McKenna looks fabulous in ANY color she wears! She is an expert shopper so it was a treat to have her take me to THE place to go!

McKenna's sisters FurAngelGirls Mookie and Angel are like McKenna: they make me feel as though I have always been their sister! What a beautiful trio of FurAngelGirls! I love them all!

After shopping, Tuxedo Cowboy Angel Ricki took me for a ride to the Lower Forty on his Angel Horse! The Angel Horse was flying and it was a gorgeous sight everywhere I looked. There was a huge picnic crowd of FurAngels and we had a delightful time!

I was showing Angel Ricki that I have some black fur on my right paw while he has black fur on his left paw - just one of those things that make us tuxedo cats stand out in a crowd (and always properly dressed for any occasion!).

Angel Buddie was there to meet me at the Rainbow Bridge and he immediately took me under his protective Angel Wing!

The night of my arrival (January 10), Angel Buddie took me to the KitKatKafe for a BIG party and there were just so many furfriends there! I felt wonderful! I wish my humans could see me now! I am a petite girl (my weight was no more than 7 pounds) but I was down to 3 pounds. Now I look like I did when I was young!

Yesterday, Angel Buddie escorted me to the Concert in the Middle of Town Square! What great music (Josie and the PussyCats - my favorites!), lots of food - I especially was really licking up the ice cream!

I look even more gorgeous in my Angel Wings!

Angel Buddie has let Peake know that he's not to worry about me. However, when I learn how to do this, I just know I going to have to fly down to the kitchen to give Peake a paw swat to stop him from opening the cabinets and getting inside them! Sigh. I just KNOW he is still doing that! Won't he ever be surprised when he gets a swipe from my Regal Paw! He knew I WAS THE QUEEN OF THE HOUSE!

Juanita & Rita are doing this entry in Lola's diary. It is with breaking hearts, we had to let our sweet girl go.

Lola was diagnosed in 2010 in very early stages of kidney failure. We did the fluids at home but Lola took to hiding and had diarrhea from being so stressed out. She did not like the prescription canned or dry food and would not eat either. With the vet's okay, we stopped the fluids and Lola returned to the food she loved.

Lola did great until September 27, 2012 when we took her to the vet due tp her having trouble chewing on the right side. Blood tests showed she was in 'rough shape' and in final stages of renal failure. How long Lola had left to live could not be predicted.

Exactly 15 weeks after that September 27, 2012 visit to the vet, Lola was back to the same vet hospital, where Dr. Kelli French set her sweet spirit free on January 10, 2013.

Juanita rescued her on September 24, 1994 when she was only 5 weeks old and she blessed our lives with her precious presence for 18 years, 3 months and 22 days.

Beautiful, sweet and precious Lola - we miss you so much. We love you, Baby Girl.

Hello to all the wonderful Catster Cats, Kittens and their loving humans!

I turn 15 years old today!

I have not had a chance to dictate a diary entry to my secretary because she has been busy helping homeless kitties and feeding stray kitties. These sweet kitties just break her heart. She wants to gather all of them up in her arms and give them a cuddle and a kiss but they are so afraid and so wary of humans. They see her bring food and water and hear her say how much she loves them. Poor sweet kitties.

Efforts to trap a female that is now a grandmother makes my secretary feel as though she is all alone out there. People remark about how this female is doing a great job surviving. These people are told "That is not the point! The point is this poor girl needs to be captured so she can be spayed."

She also needs a home and one couple (who happen to have her very first kitten) say they would gladly adopt this beautiful mother now a grandmother!

My secretary makes a monthly monetary donation to Columbus, Ohio's CAT WELFARE ASSOCIATION. What a great group of kitty lovers who volunteer their time and love to care for unwanted and homeless felines.

So, on my 15th birthday, I wish all cats were like me - healthy, happy, loved and treasured. I also must confess that my caring vet, Dr. Marilyn was holding me on my last visit and she exclaimed how soft I am and KISSED ME ON THE TOP OF MY SOFT HEAD! Wow! What a sweet vet I have (but I still don't like going).

Kitty kisses and purrs of love to all cats, kitties and their humans who love them as much as my humans do!

Princess tagged me for the summer game. So here are 5 things I do during summer:

1. I wait and hope that Peregrine Falcon fledglings are safe on their first flight. This is the time of the year that 6 week old Peregrine Falcons take their very first flights. Many have nest boxes on city skyscrapers and all class skyscrapers are EXTREMELY dangerous to all birds.

2. Stay indoors and keep cool. I stay indoors year round so I am safe and protected.

3. Admire the flowers my Rita plants and tends. She's got black hollyhocks this year and I think she planted them in honor of my fur color!

4. I am a very shy kitty and will run and hide if anyone comes into the house. However, I am content to sit at the window and have a steady stream of admirers come up to oooh and aaah over me.

5. Playing and more playing! Playing is alway followed by a nap.

Here 5 kitties to play tage with me.
Dora
Little Bit
Greg
Squeak
Bugs

Sigh. It's almost July and that means loud fireworks. Fireworks and thunderstorms scare me and I run and hide. We've had enough thunderstorms just this month so I've had plenty of hiding time. Then when July starts, there are fireworks before the 4th of July, fireworks on the 4th of July and fireworks after the 4th of July (many times one or two weeks afterwards - like someone in the neighborhood is trying to use up the excess fireworks they have bought).

It is with a very sad kitty heart I learned that my dear friends Buddie and his sister McKenna both crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge.

Handsome Buddie became a kitty angel on Sunday, November 25. All of us rejoiced when he became the furhusband of Miss Hazel Lucy of Catster fame on September 24, 2005.

Buddie's loving Mommy & Daddy were devasted at the loss of their boy.

Buddie's beautiful sister McKenna became a kitty angel on Tuesday, November 27. Her Mommy & Daddy (wonderful Sherry & Bill) were again heartbroken.

McKenna had just become the furwife of Mel (who crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge just last month).

Kitty kisses to Sherry and Bill and I share your grief. Your babies were much loved by kitties and humans alike.

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am.....forever and ever and ever.

When checking my page, please check out Bee who is now listed on my account.

The is my sweet neighbor and she has been missing since Tuesday, January 2, 2007. My humans are sad and upset that she is gone and her loving owner is distraught.

Bee may have unknowningly been transported out of our neighborhood to another neighborhood in a carpet installer's van. That white van was in our neighborhood to put in new carpet at a house close to where Bee lives. The back doors of that van were open the entire time the installer was working. Bee may have gotten into that van to explore and was trapped.

Bee has never been know to stray far from home. As soon as John comes home, Bee is right there to give him an affectionate greeting. She does the same to my humans whenever they visit with John. That's Bee - extremely affectionate!

My human Mommy says Bee is a "very pretty cat" and she has a "cute pug nose". Bee looks as though she might have some Persian in her because of the shape of her face. What is the most striking feature about her (besides her sweetness & friendliness) is her very large light green eyes!

John began calling her Bee for "Big Eyes". My humans say she that could also be "Beautiful Eyes" or "Beguiling Enchantress" - all of them fit this precious girl.

Thoughts and prayers for Bee's safe return to John and all of us neighbors who love her so much.

We miss you, Bee!

Dear Sweet, Darling, Precious Lola:

You are the light of the lives of identical twin sisters Rita & Juanita Woods and their mother Peg Woods!

The second you were brought into our home, you also easily entered our hearts with your sweet face, cute ways and feline charm.

We got you spayed when you were 6 months old and we very much support the spaying and neutering of pets. So many pets (especially cats) are in shelters and humane societies. We wish with all our hearts that these sweet cats and kittens would get loving homes where they would be safe, healthy and happy.

We also chose not to get you de-clawed, so you get a manicure twice a month. You don't care too much for it but it doesn't take long and you are back to your purring sweet self in no time.

Whenever you are frightened by thunder and/or fireworks, we wish you would allow us to hold you and comfort you. You have other ideas and go straight under a bed for safety. We are right there, gently talking to you and telling you that everything is alright. We put your food and water under the bed so you are able to feel safe and have something to eat and drink when you want it.

We keep you indoors to protect you safe from dogs, cars, disease, fleas and cruel people who abuse cats. We lavish love, attention and care on you because we love you so much and you bring so much happiness into our lives. Your caring vet, Dr. Marilyn Schwab (Beechwold Veterinary Hospital in Columbus, Ohio) one said about you: "She's so soft and shiny!" We groom you every morning with the Cat Zoom Groom and you stretch out, purring and kneading your front paws!

We love you so much, baby cat girl!

I wanted to do something to honor a dear kitty friend, so I am starting a diary and my first entry will be to honor Sabrina.

I'm very sad this morning as I received a Catster Mail from Wendy of Bolingbrook, IL

Wendy is a tuxedo girl like I am and she and her Himalayan sister Sabrina have been my Catster friends. Wendy's message was one I already knew even before I checked it - darling Sabrina has crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge.

Please see Sabrina's story and diary at:
http://www.catster.com/pet_page.php?i=125624&j=t

Sabrina would have turned 18 on May 17th. Unfortunately, she was suffering from liver cancer and was on meds and had taken chemo. Her devoted and loving human Mommy cared for her and loved her so much. Now she is very devasted at the loss of her Himalayan angel.

My humans sent this to Wendy for her Mommy:

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am.....forever and ever and ever.
