I turned 2 today! I sure have come a long way in my short little life!!!

But, I'm not showing up in the Birthday Stroll. 1000 kitties are featured as having a birthday today but I'm not one of them. Mom even got the birthday stroll email today and I got my 25 treats etc. Mom went thru the stroll twice and didn't see me. She also gave me a treat to see if maybe something got stuck somewhere...no such luck. Mom wanted to see my pretty little face in the birthday stroll. Maybe next year... :(

Mom got up this morning and came out to the living room to let the dogs out. As she was closing the door, she looked at the furbutts on the love seat. Bella was on the back of it, Simon was on one of the cushions and she noticed someone else on the other cushion. The furbutt had it's back to her so she didn't recognize who it was for a second. Then the furbutt turned it's head towards her and she realized it was ME! I was laying on the loveseat!!! I have never been anywhere but the floor and I'm usually in mom's bedroom. Because of my injured leg, mom didn't think I could jump. She knows I've made a miraculous recovery and am walking and running on my injured leg (the one several vets have said i'd never use again and should have it amputated) but to find me on the loveseat was amazing! Mom had to make sure she got a picture of it as proof! It's not April 1st anymore, so this definitely wasn't a trick! Mom is so proud of me and she says that I'm constantly amazing her! I'm her miracle kitty! See what love, time and patience can do!!!

that I come out of my kennel! Mom's been leaving the kennel door open all the time now but she leaves the baby gate to the room closed to keep the dogs out. They like to eat out of the litter box in my kennel and they eat all my food. So, mom keeps the gate closed so they can't do that.

But, see, I do come out of my kennel. Mom posted pics for me to show everyone. I still make a mad dash for it if I think mom might step on me. I'm still skittish but mom is patient. She doesn't push it. She tries to walk up to me slowly but a lot of the time, I still run for the kennel. If mom sits on the floor and motions for me to come, I usually come to her. I love to be pet. I purr and purr and purr. I'm not too keen on the other furbutts getting close to me and I hiss at them once in awhile but I'm getting better about that too.

Things are going pretty good otherwise. Mom put some floor scratchers down for me and a turbo chaser thing with the blinking light ball. I watch the other furbutts mess around with that stuff but I haven't tried any of it yet. Mom wonders if I'll ever get to that stage. I'm a feral kitty and there's no telling how things will turn out. Just have to wait and see. All I know is that I'm living the good life compared to life outdoors. Mom thinks she did the right thing in bringing me in and she has no regrets. She loves me.

They fixed my diary title...as in I have one now!!! They fixed Milo's too!!! Yay! Thank you Catster!!! The links work too!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job! We're so excited and I'd jump for joy but I can't really jump around in celebration cuz of my injured leg and pelvis but Milo is all full of energy! He bounces around enough for the both of us. Uh oh...he's in one of those moods...crouched down, butt wiggling back and forth and tail twitching! Some furbutt is gonna get a pouncing on in about 2 seconds (and it's not me)! MOL!!! Oops...poor Princess! Glad it wasn't me!

Thank you Catster for fixing our diaries! We REALLY appreciate it!!!

Being "fixed" that is. That really wasn't my idea of a good time! I sure did put up a good fight this morning when mom wanted to put me in that cat carrier. I got some good nail shots in and mom wasn't too happy about that. Must've taken her about 15 minutes to finally get me in that carrier. She says she was trying to be gentle cuz of my injured pelvis and leg so anytime she thought I'd get hurt more, she let go of me. I knew it was all over when she finally just grabbed me by the scruff of my neck and lifted me off the floor. She stood the cat carrier up on end and basically dropped me in there and slammed the door. Geez! I voiced my irritation at the top of my lungs too! Got all the animals riled up too! MOL!

So, mom came to pick me up today after work and brought me home. I sure am glad to be back. The vet place was so busy and noisy and I was all freaked out when mom wanted to put me back in the carrier to bring me home. After a little coaxing, I crawled into the dark, small, quiet confines of the cat carrier all by myself. Mom was very proud of me! I didn't make a peep the entire trip home.

So, mom got my kennel ready for me but I decided I was going to hide in the bottom of one of the cat trees instead. Mom turned the lights off for me and closed the baby gate to the bedroom. The other cats can jump the gate but the dogs have to stay out. Mom wants me to feel comfortable, get some rest and not have to worry about being stomped on by a couple of 50 pound dogs. Mom really does love me, huh?

to update my Diary Title five times now. It says I'm successful and that my Diary Title is changed but yet it doesn't show it. We don't understand!

Before you can write your first diary, you have to give it a title (which we did) but for some odd reason, it's not working properly.

Mom sent off an email this morning asking for help. Do we have to delete my diary entries and try to start over? Does anyone else have any suggestions?

There seems to be a problem though :(

Don't know if it's a problem with my acct or something we did wrong etc. My picture isn't featured on the homepage like it should be...there's just a little box in it's place. If you click on that little box, it'll take you to my page though. But if you go to Diary Central and click on my picture, it says Page Not Found. So sad, cuz I really do have a page. I hope someone can tell us how to fix it if it's our mistake or maybe someone higher up the chain can fix it.

On a personal note, I get "fixed" tomorrow. Whatever that means. Mom's worried about me since the other day when she found Hemi on top of me. I've been secluded and withdrawn, haven't eaten much, finally went #1 in my cat box last night but haven't done #2 in a few days. Mom says it's so not like me. Mom left my kennel door open since she came home from work last night but I really didn't come out like I normally do. But mom saw me eat a little bit and I still love to be pet. Mom is worried something is wrong. She has to go to work shortly and I'm locked in my kennel again right now til she comes home, so we'll see how I'm doing tonight when she gets home.

Thank you again Catster for selecting me as one of today's DDPs. I really appreciate it!!!

Little Miss Thing a.k.a. Honey is doing much better. She is actually trying to walk on her injured leg which is a big surprise seeing everyone told me she'd never have use of her leg again. For the most part, she tries to put weight on it and she limps but that's a lot better than her initial prognosis. I am so glad I didn't have her leg amputated like they suggested.

Honey stays in a large wire dog kennel when I'm not home, more so for her safety but also peace of mind for myself. So, I've been opening up the kennel door when I'm home so she can venture out if she so chooses and she usually comes out and lays within sight of her kennel. If I walk into the room a little too fast for her liking, she usually makes a mad dash for the kennel. So, I try to enter the room slowly so I don't scare her. If she doesn't run, she'll usually sit there and meow at me and I'll slowly approach her to pet her. She loves to be pet but does not like to be held in any way, shape or form.

I've found her out in the living room 3 times now in the last few weeks, so she must be feeling safer with her surroundings. With that said, I think she's in heat because I've found 2 of my male cats (1 which is not fixed) on top of her. That is a very bad thing because if she gets pregnant, she will not be able to deliver the kittens with her pelvic opening being diminished from being hit by a car. So, Honey has an appointment on Friday to be spayed. Maybe once she's healed from that, I'll leave her kennel door open when I'm not home but time will tell.
