Arrival Story:
In January of 2003, my husband and I started volunteering at the Animal Control Shelter in Fairbanks, AK. We had decided months before that we wanted to add a second cat to our household, but one hadn't come along. One day we were volunteering, and someone dropped off a litter of kittens. In the litter was an orange tiger-striped male with white boots and mittens...we knew right away it was our Max!!! We adopted him immediately.

Bio:
Max caught a horrible URI from the shelter, even though he was only there over the weekend. We nursed him back to health over a two-week period, and were very scared we'd lose him. He luckily made a miraculous recovery.
