Lily
Goodbye LilyJuly 11th 2009 8:07 pm[ Leave A Comment | 5 people already have ]
Lily passed away tonight (11Jul09), and I wasn't there for her. I had to leave for Cape Breton this morning. While I was getting ready, I noticed she was laying on the floor in Cory's closet. I didn't think too much of it because she's a quirky kitty and doing something out of the ordinary isn't really out of the ordinary for her. I figured she was just warm and was trying to avoid the heat. Cory called me at 7:30 tonight because he was a little concerned. He said she spent most of the day in the closet, so he took her out on the deck to get some air...the deck is usually pretty cool, regardless of the outside temperature. All she wanted to do was lie there, uninterested in her catgrass or dill. He took her in and gave her some cool water and she didn't want that either. I told him to call the emergency clinic if he really thought something was wrong, so he did. They told him to bring her in because lethargy could mean any number of things. When he got there the tech seemed concerned because she was pale, and took her out back to see the doctor for a quick look to try to rule out a few obvious things. They decided to test her from FLV, and sure enough...
Leave A Comment | 5 people already have We are so very very sorry to hear of Lily's passing! Our purrs and prayers are with you and yours at this most diffucult time. Know that Murder RIP is waiting for Lily at the bridge. God Bless! Mayhem, Murder RIP and our mommy Mary We're so sad for you and your family. Something this sudden is so painful. We lost our Marley just a month ago and know that losing someone you love is overwhelming. We'll keep you in our hearts and prayers. Kate, Mike, Mike and Jerry I sympathize with you as I know how badly it hurts your heart. This happened to me when I lost my baby cat, they put him down without waiting for me to drive there. It does hurt less with time, but a lot of time. Our family will keep you all in our prayers. My furmaly and my human family are saddened by your loss of your prescious girl Lily. But please find comfort in the fact that Lily knew how much you loved her and wanted her, or why else would she have chosen you. She will always be with us through the memories of her sweet face and loving ways. She understood why you had to go. She thanks you for taking her pain away so she could be herself once again. We have Rainbow bridge residences, a Cocker sister Heidi, and brother Punkin who love kittys. I know Heidi has taken her under her paws and showed her how wonderful the bridge is. And If I know Heidi, she has organized a Kitty/Dog chase and catch a tennis ball game in Lily's honor with Lily right in the middle of the game. Always remember Kittys have big ears and hearts and if you, or Isabella or Zoey would like to talk to one of us, we love to listen. From: THE CATZ: Bastet, Miss Kitty, Baby, Lolipop, Mittens, Menes; and THE COCKERS: Heidi and Punkin in Loving Memory and ME...OW... We send our love to you and your family. Lily knows how much you love her, and she will always watch over you. Stoney will watch over her at the bridge. I wish there was more I could say to ease the pain, but know that Lily is no longer sick and that she will always love you :big hugs of comfort: Love, Stoney and his Family |
