Arrival Story:
Smokey's dad and I went to the animal shelter with our thoughts set on a different cat, Trixie, who we'd seen on their website. Trixie didn't seem to care about us too much, but as SOON as we walked in that room, Smokey was dig-dig-digging at the front of his cage, so excited to see people. We opened up the cage and picked him up, and much to our surprise, he actually wanted to be held, not just put down so he could roam around. He was so friendly and curious, and we just fell in love! What's funny is that I'd always said I wanted a female cat, perhaps with stripes, and NEVER a boy. Go figure, Smokey is our furry little one-colored son!

Bio:
We don't know where Smokey came from, just that he'd been transferred to this shelter from another one, and had been altered only ten days before we met him. He loves people, so we can only guess that he was treated very well, and we assume he's probably never been an outdoor cat at all.
