Arrival Story:
Belly wandered up right before Hurricane Rita hit in 2005. She was very petite when I first saw her... I actually thought she was a squirrel! I already had two cats, and wasn't in the market for a third, but I didn't want such a sweet little girl to get blow away... so I took her in. Originally I was just going to let her loose outside again after the storm blew over, but I found myself quite in love. Unfortunately, when I took her to the vet, she tested positive for FeLV. I was crushed, and my vet offered to put her down. I refused, and now, 5 years later, she's never once shown a single symptom! In fact, she's been the healthiest of all three cats. She has a very special bond with Neko, who is like a big daddy to her. They love to sleep/cuddle together.
