I got to go outside (I'm an indoor kitty) and Mom was not happy. She told Dad he had to "pay attention"!!!
The other night Dad came home from a photo shoot with his arms full of photo equipment and props. When he came inside he did not close the door tight. Since it was windy outside the door blew open just enough for me to sneak out. My big brother Miko came with me so he could watch over me and make sure I did not get into any trouble.
Mom got up to go to the kitchen and saw the door opened. She closed the door and told Dad he had better get up and count cats as there are 5 of us. He and Mom could only find three of us inside so Dad opened the door back up and guess who came stolling inside with her big brother following.
Dad said we couldn't have gone very far since we were both waiting at the door to come back in when he opened it.
I think I like being an inside kitty. It is an awfully big world out there.

We did something like that, too quite a long time ago...and we were outside all night! YOWL! Nobody heard us, so we curled up under a bush where meowmy found us the next morning, when she missed us coming to greet her...Then when our dog-guy brofur got 'doggy doors' we tried it again, but meowmy was expecting that...so she trained us not to do that anymore...but sometimes we still like to sneak into the back porch, where the sun puddles are so very big and warm. Too bad that is mostly off limits for us! MOL!
Ha! Our daddy has these little accidents all the time, and then there is a mad panic to count us all and take attendance. One night a few years ago Mommy woke up at 4AM because she heard the door slamming in the wind. The screen door AND the regular door had blown open, and I was outside. It was FEBRUARY! Mommy had to dive through all the snowy bushes in our yard to catch me, but she did. And then she had plenty of choice words for careless Daddy.
Glad you guys are all safe.
I'm so glad you came back with your brofur! I bet dadcat's in big trouble, MOL.
