Howdy friends. Sorry I had a bit of a freakout this morning. Sleep deprivation will do that to you. I want to say thank you for all your comments and suggestions.
I thought I'd mention some of the details about the meowing.
I really think it's over her wanting to go outside. It's mostly at night and in the very early morning. She sits either by the door or in the window and yells, and yells and yells. She does sit in the window by the door, stares outside, even though that's the window with the least amount of scenery, so I have no idea what she's looking at!
She is fixed.
And I think you guys are right, she probably needs a friend. Unfortunately, I'm not at a point I can do that.
She also do need to go to the vet. I'll try to get her in early next week.
I'll try to get some video of her too.
Thanks guys - you don't know how much it means to me that you all care so much. Thank you!!
Hope she's ok! And hope you can get some sleep!
I sure hope you are all right Monida, if you need something though, you keep yelling! You hear me? Be like the meezer! YOWL until you get what you want! hehehe!
Oh yeah, mommy says she hopes mommy Monida is ok too. She's sympathetic, sometimes she'd give anything to shut me up too! Not. Gonna. Happen.
Hi Monida's Mom. Timo here.
I can see Tigger packing up one of his furblings right now for you, Monida *snicker*. Seriously, no we won't do that. Whenever you're ready, maybe a playmate for Monida. But there is no guarantee that another cat will keep her quiet. My Mietzi used to meow a lot sometimes. Mom figured out sometimes she actually was hungry because I had helped myself to some of her food.
Do you have a room with no windows where Monida can spent the night? It won't hurt her to sleep in the bathroom or laundry room. That's something we have done with Mietzi too. Mietz kept meowing for a while but Mom could hardly hear her with the door closed and she shut up eventually. Have you taken Monida to your bedroom at night, closed the door, and see if she'll sleep on your bed? We sleep on the bed almost every night. Catch up on your sleep this weekend, Mom.
Oh, we know what that is - we call it "the Fearless Syndrome" - MOL! Ever since the pawrents introduced the Fearless Wonder here to the joys of leash-walking, she has entertained us all with her plaintive meezer-style wails at the door. They are trying to teach her now that 4:30 AM is not an appropriate time to do this. :(
***tries to tape struggling package shut***
But...but....I have them ready to ship!! A couple orangies,a couple black kits,a couple torties....a pu-pu platter of kits!
***hisses at package--"shut up & stop struggling or I won't throw any food in there with you for the trip!"***
Wait, Tigger! Don't close that box yet!!! I have a few black kittens to throw in there if I can ju-u-s-s-s-t catch them...
I think there is some one out there she hears a stray that needs to be fed or a home.
Sure hope your weekend will be silenter...and sleep will help evfurryone there!
Maybe the vet will have some other good ideas.
How is it going? Mom tried catnip spray for me when I'm stressed, but it didn't do anything. I do like when she sprays febreeze or glade, for some reason it calms me! Also, mom bought me a new organic catnip toy after my trip to the vet. Organic costs more, but it is so worth it. Has your mom tried putting in one of those birdy or mousey DVDs? That might give u some new entertainment! Plus u can set it up for the loop so it can go all night! Purrs. Any new info on my pillow feet? Mom is worried about my immune system now...
can you get another cat tree? It may give her something else to occupy her time. Also, leash walks can help...introducing slowly, but it might bring some relief. Alot of play. Much play...but a tall cat tree by the window...and if you can crack the window a bit to let in some air she can sniff, so much the better.
Hi Lindsay! I sent you a paw mail!
Thanks everyone! So far the collar doesn't seem to be working too well. I'm really hoping that the squirrels go into winter mode soon. They seem to be what's really driving her insane.
Ruffy - Mo actually has access to all the windows. That's part of the problem! MOL! Those stupid squirrels sit outside the windows and taunt her. They're so mean!
Oh that would explain it. #@$@* squirrels. We don't have any because we have only very small trees. Can you cut your trees down? Just kidding, I'm a tree-hugger.
Congrats Monida on being a DDP! Hope you have a pawsome day,

Congrats on your DDP today, sweetie - hope things are going smoother for you!
Congrats on your DDP today, Monida! And listen here, sistah, you aren't going outside. None of us can . . . . ever again! There are bad, bad things outside that will eat you. That is what the MRS. tells me all the time. So, quit your meowing and learn to love watching TV!
Having your own room at night is a good thing, Monida. I sleep locked behind a door for peace and quiet from the squirt that posted before me! Maybe that would help calm you down some. Squirrels aren't worth the trouble, so take it from me, and find yourself a good nap spot! Besides, squirrel meat is tough (I've heard) and you'd have all that squirrel fur to deal with if you caught one!
Concatulations on today's DDP, too!
