Sigh ...

So kitty friends. Do you remember back a few weeks when my genius mom put the door to my litter box on wrong and locked me out? Well, I've got another story for you.

Ever since I returned from my week at the spa, mom noticed I've been a little mopey and sad-looking. Every one and awhile I yell at her at the top of my kitty voice. I think I'm being pretty clear, but you know how dense those humans are.

Well, mom thought I was just adjusting from being gone, or maybe I was just keeping her company while she's sick. (Which, by the way, I spent all last night getting hacked on. Gross. The things we kitties do for our parents.)

Then tonight as the genius was getting ready for bed, she finally realized what was wrong. Before she left, she cleaned the apartment and put away all my toys. Well, she never took any back out for me! So of course I've been mopey - I'm bored out of my mind!! Luckily I now have my pipe cleaners and jingle worms and little mousies back, so I can get back to playing.

I just don't know how much more of this I can take ...

We have toys everywhere, but these kittens want to play with anything but toys. Last night, one of the orange ones took off down the hallway with the lid to the battery compartment of Dad's pencil sharpener! Before that he was playing with pencils, scissors & a jack knife! Your Mom is lucky that you didn't start playing with her stuff like that!

I like to paw in the junk drawer if it is the slightest bit open...so much more fun than toys...but yeah, I would be mad too, if my toys were not available!

For beings with such "big" brains, they are terribly dense. I have to stand on the coffee table and start knocking things off in order to get them to notice that I'm hungry.

I think you should have walked up to your Mom's leg, wiggled your head like you were tracking her leg and then "play" with it. Attack play ! It might have made her notice sooner that you had no "appropriate" toys available.
Or it might not have...

Wow, oh no. No toys! I mean, how can she forget! That sickness that she has really must be messing with her head. Poor Monida. My mini mousies are in a little wicker basket that stands on the floor. I fish one out when I want to play. And Mom collects them eventually and puts them back in my basket. I have her well trained, MOL.
