Hi friends -

I'm feeling kinda blue today. :( It was bad enough that mom shoved me in the carrier and made me go to the vet for my yearly wellness exam. But then we found out I've gained some weight. Mom was so sure I had lost some since I jump and play more than ever before.

The vet said I was overweight and said I'm not allowed to have any more treats. :( And mom has to really watch how much food I'm getting every day. The vet also doesn't like that I'm getting Blue Buffalo. Now mom doesn't know if she should switch my food or not.

It's not a fun day when you're called fat.

oh my stars monida,

I am sending you legal papers so you may pursue action post haste...

I do believe you can sue for slander, undo stress and anxiety, defamation of character, and improper use of life sustaining nutrients...your food...

by the time we are done, the only "fat" will be in your purse because of all the cash we shall collect from that vet.......hhmmpphhhh...

hugs girl from dai$y and NO you are NOT fat...

Thank you everyone! Your comments really cheered me up! Indy - my vet said the reason she doesn't like Blue Buffalo is because she's seen lots of dogs and cats with digestive problems on it.

Hopefully I'll win my legal case against the vet that Daisy suggested, and then it'll be kitty treats for all!

I'm not a skinny cat,& the last time I saw the vet,she recommended that I eat crunchy kitty treats to help clean my teeth!

You are purrfection in fur Monida! And Loki and Rose are dieting too...
We stopped Blue Buffalo too as we read many furs were having issues with it..we loved it but Mama worried about those little pellets in it.
Rose and Loki can have treats, but only half of the recommended amount per serving! So check the serving size on package.
Love you!

Your vet is INDIANA JONES????
Well, I was gonna ask, what does he look like?? So much for that. But still, we should call his wife and tell her to take all HIS treats away!! And change ALL his food so he's an herbivore!!! That'll show him that the Temple of Doom was an EASY day!! I'm on your side! Luv, Tink

*sigh* humans. they all seem to be weight-obsessed... :((
as long as you still play it can't be too much, right? my human is sometimes selling my normal food as treats and integrates the kibbles in food chasing games. devilish! sports and food in one :((

Aw Monida! You are adorable no matter what. Are you eating a lot of dry food? Dry food tends to make cats gain weight. Canned food is much better for you. It's yummy too! I like Wellness grain free cans.

I hate that! I used to have it happen to me - it is no fun. Hope you can still get a few treats.

I feel your pain my friend...my human went through the same thing with me about a year ago. She switched my food and at rare times would treat me to tuna, small pieces of salmon (which she loves almost as much as I do) and sometimes I even got to share a shrimp with her!!! I lost 4 pds in 2 months!! She made me play more often with her...although I did NOT like the leash to take me outside!! Never in all my nine lives have I ever been gifted with so many catnip toys.

Purrs,
Phoenix
