I have to tell you all what I saw tonight from my window! An armed standoff with the SWAT team! Mom got home from the mall and as she was walking to the apartment, she noticed two police officers hiding around the corner of the apartment complex behind us, and two more hiding behind a big storage truck. We watched from the window as they would creep around the corner and then run back. Then mom noticed they pointed at an apartment with big rifles! That's when we got a little scared. She wouldn't let me sit on the windowsill anymore.
Mom watched a little longer and then three more officers came out of nowhere. She moved away from the window and heard *pop* *pop* *pop.* Oh my cats! Gunfire! We found out later that they actually shot bean bags into the apartment.
They were there for hours, and in the end, the apartment was empty! They're still looking for the suspect. Mom says we might have to think about moving since this isn't the first time something scary has happened by our apartment.
take good care or yourself and your mommy!!! what a shock it must be for your mommy to come home, thinking of nothing bad and find herself in a criminal story...
prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrs to you both!!!
Oh my catness Monida ! (2 years ago we had a SWAT situation on our avenue. Not as close as your recent situation was, but we too heard the "pop pop pop" and the same beanbags being shot as well as gas. In fact, the police came up our side of the street telling us to close our windows against any of the gas being carried on the wind. Our situation went on for hours too, but with a very bad ending for the standoff'er)
Scary for you and your Mom, I'm sure. I'm surprised that the SWAT let your Mom into your apartment building. Take care of yourself and your Mom!
Oh my, You and your Mommy need to be extra careful!
Sending purrs that you be safe!
Hugs & Purrs,
Yow! We've never had SWAT,but they did bring the dogs through the neighborhood before we lost our house. Police helicopters,dogs...DID NOT WANT! Nothing like that so far in the trailer park...it's actually pretty peaceful here.
If you see them again, stay out of the window...innocent bystander & all that...
OMC, that was very scary! Glad no one was hurt and you and your mom are okay! I've never seen anything like that in our neighborhood and hope I never do 'cause I'd be scared silly. Moving is a big deal and such a hassle and I hope nothing like that ever happens in your neighborhood again so you won't have to move! Please be careful and stay safe!
Monida....if de nay bors bee crazeee itza time ta go....we be glad ewe N yur mom is OK and we hope ya stay that way.....peace out N rock on
Yowza! Very scary stuff. We're glad you're okay.
These days, I don't know where is safe. A few years ago we were renting a house in a "gated community," when the police stopped by. Apparently some woman had listed our house as her place of residence while she was defrauding people. The police were pretty sure she did not live there (and she did not), but wanted to check anyway. I enjoyed checking out the two young men in uniform. Me-ow.
OMC! I'm glad you and your Mom are safe, Monida! Be careful!
OMC! That sounds scary!
OH My, so glad you and your mommy is safe, glad she made you get out the windows. I have never seen anything like this and hope i never do as both mommy and I are a bit chicken.
Take care love Tilly xx
O my gosh! I'm so glad you and your mom are ok! I hope you weren't scared by the pop pop pop of the shooting. and I hope they catch the suspect!
