Hi everyone! Well, mom finally gave me time to play! I said she had to, it being World Cat Day an all!
I probably won't be around much for the next few weeks since my mom is going to be really busy. :( So I'll apologize in advance if I miss any honors. I'll try to catch up as soon as I can.
I love this tag game, and wanted to play too!
1. You know some people call us moody, stubborn, capricious or not willing to learn. what is your opinion about such cat prejudices?
I have never seen you be moody! You might have a bit of a stubborn streak, but it's one of the things I love about you. As to not being willing to learn? I couldn't think of anything further from the truth. You learned how to open cupboards and drawers. You know that scratching my bed is the best way to get me up. You never do it otherwise. You are one of the smartest animals I've ever met!
2. Tell me: how do you remember our first day together in our home?
I still feel really bad about that day. I had made the decision to adopt you and went to the shelter to fill out the paperwork. You weren't supposed to be available until the next day, which was perfect since I had the day off. But for some reason, the shelter insisted I had to take you home that night. I also had to work until midnight. I didn't have anything ready! So on my dinner break, I grabbed a cheap litter box, some cheap litter and a toy or two. Then I swung by the shelter and picked you up. I didn't have a case, so you wandered in my car as I drove, at one point walking underneath my pedals. I was so scared. When we finally got to my apartment, I only had enough time to fix your box and set out some food and leave. You were so scared, left alone in this new place. When I finally finished work and rushed home, you greeted me. It worked out ok, but it's not how I wanted your first day to be.
3. You have taught me so much – but what did you learn from me?
You have taught me patience and love. And that you think my decorating skills are terrible. :) I have learned to be much more flexible in my life - that a little cat hair on the couch or pillow won't cause the world to end. You've helped me calm down and not stress so much. It's easy to forget about work when you're purring in my ear.
4. Have you ever wished – even for a second – that i was someone else?
If I did, it was during the first week you were home. You were (and are) a very vocal cat, and for the first week you screamed and cried and talked constantly, in addition to keeping me up all night. You are my first cat, so I was scared, tired and stressed. I wished you were a little calmer. But after a week or so, we got used to each other, and things have been amazing ever since then!
5. What if we'd change bodies for a day?
I imagine you would spend your time exploring every closet and cupboard and anywhere else you haven't been able to get to. You would enjoy the outdoors. I would enjoy not having to work and sleeping all day! :)
6. Could you name those of my habits you would not want to miss?
The way you have to be touching me when you sleep. How you'll put out a paw just to make sure I'm still there. Or how you'll sleep on my tummy and wrap your paws around my neck. I would be so sad if I didn't have that.
7. Let's imagine we could go back in time – how would you estimate the probability that you would adopt me again?
100 percent! Despite a rough start, I couldn't imagine not having you in my life!!
8. Just one last question: which big cats do you like best?
Oh, I don't think I could pick a favorite. They are all so majestic!
isn't it amazing how much we (esp. we as first cats) are able to teach them??? after reading this i can tell my person that she's not the only one who had to become more flexible ;)
thanks for convincing your mommy to play!
Thank you for letting us know it's world cat day... We never knew..
