by Platelicker, to answer a few questions so ... here goes!
1. Do you ever wake your parent up in the night?
Of course, when it suits my purpose. For instance, I prefer the spot at the bottom of the bed, right in the middle. But, once in awhile, my pawrent's feet might be there. It's amazing the results you achieve by beginning at the feet and walking up the body to the head and then pawing faces. At the least, it makes them move while trying to remove me, and then I have my spot all to myself. I also enjoy singing in the middle of the night. Nothing rouses them more quickly than a Siamese aria (often compared to burglar or fire alarms). They can't figure out why I do that, and I'm not telling.
2. Do you ever tear up things?
Of course, I'm a cat. My very favorite is to shred newspapers. Just give me the Sunday paper, and I'm in Seventh Heaven. Do you know how much of a mess I can make of that much newspaper in four hours? That will teach them to leave papers around and go away. I've also taught my pawrents not to leave the mail on the kitchen island. You should have seen them trying to tape bills back together. I look upon my actions as a service to my pawrents. I've taught them to be neat and tidy and not to leave any papers around unless they are in need of confetti.
3. What's your favorite treat?
Anything crunchy -- especially Party Mix! Whoever invented them should get the trophy rosette.
4. Can you fetch something when asked to do so?
Are you kidding? If they want something fetched, they can do the fetching themselves.
5. Have you ever lived any place other than where you live?
I was born at my Vet's office and lived there for about seven months before My Daddy and Mrs. H came along and adopted me and my brothers, Jack and Teddy. We still go to that vet, and we are super popular. People who work there still remember us from our kitten days and tell our pawrents funny stories about us. They could only tell us apart by the way we acted -- Teddy was shy and scared; I was bold and always ready to protect him. When we were little ones, Teddy and I cuddled together and slept on top of the receptionist's computer monitor. (Mrs. H remembers seeing us there.) Then, we got bigger and one or the other of us would go to sleep and slowly slide down and fall off. We finally gave up on the computer monitor and chose for our favorite place the top of a cat condo in the front window. That's where my pawrents saw us. They thought we were a big black cat until we woke up and moved -- surprise, two of us. We found our forever home.
Now, I need to find some friends to tag.
