Arrival Story:
One day my boyfriend and I took our other cat Sphynx out for a ride. My boyfriend was going to a job interview so we decided to tag along. I put Sphynx on his leash so we could get out and walk and the Owner of home we were at had lots of kittens. Sphynx had a good time playing with them so I told my boyfriend that I think we should get another cat so he would have a playmate. Later that afternoon I asked my boyfriend if we could go to the Humane Society and look at their kittens. He complied so we went. There were so many cats and kittens to choose from; there was an adult solid white male and he was goregous, a little grey kitten with a black face and yellow eyes, and a few other cuties, but Isis I knew right away she was meant for me. I took her out of her kennel and carried her to the front opened my checkbook ready to pay an adoption fee, but the lady behind the counter said that since the people who usually do the surgery to fix the animals wasn't charging this time the Shelter decided to give the kitties away for free! I was so happy that with the $40 something dollars I would have used to buy her I went to Wal-Mart and bought her all kinds of toys and 2 dishes for food and water. She is a great kitten and I love her so much.

Somethings Amiss

Something is amiss in our household. I just can't figure out what is going on. My humans are acting very strange, they've been packing up all their stuff in boxes. This is something that my brother and I have not experienced before.

Mom has been saying something about moving in with her mom and finishing school while Dad has said stuff about moving back to Houston to go back to school as well. I guess what they're doing is called 'moving'. This is an odd concept to me.

Mom has been saying stuff about Sphynx and I staying with Tim. Tim is mom's younger sisters boyfriend. I hope Tim takes good care of us until May or sooner. Our humans are supposed to get another apartment around Houston so we can all live together once again. I can't wait. I'm going to miss my human parents, but I know they'll visit us when they can.

Bath Day I never knew what hit me

Today was bath day. This is the one day of the week Sphynx and I dread the most.

I was cozied up on my human parents nice soft couch listening to the sounds of Malcom in the Middle playing in the background, smelling the sweet scents of momma's Christmas Cookie Yahkee candle, just about to doze off for a nice cat nap when my daddy picked me up off the couch. I thought for a minute. Awww he wants love, then I heard the most frightening sound in the world: The sound of the water faucet in the kitten running!

I scrambled and tugged and jerked, anything to get aware from the horrendous BATH! It didn't work! The next thing I know I'm sitting in the chrome kitchen sink getting doused in warm water and lathered up with Seargents Flea and Pest shampoo.

I really hate baths, but when it comes down to it they're good things. I realize this everytime my parents bathe me. They do this to make sure my coat is pest free. They don't want any nasty buggies biting on me and making me sick. I love them for looking after me and my older brother Sphynx.
