Arrival Story: Milo was born in Jacksonville, Florida, along with his biological brother Dembe, to his cat mother Chloe. He quickly became an integral part of his mothers' lives, and when he disappeared in 2009, his human mothers were devastated. After searching every day for two months as well as posting reward posters, Milo's mothers mourned the loss of their son as they prepared for their move to Ohio. Three months later, a call came in from a relative back in South Carolina with news of a miracle. Milo had been found. The relative was getting ready to drive around and take down the reward signs Milo's mothers had left up when she got a call saying a cat mildly resembling the photos had been hanging around the caller's house. It was Milo, though he weighed half his normal weight. He had survived alone in the swamps of South Carolina for five months. He was shortly thereafter reunited with his moms and made a full recovery. Now at his normal, hearty weight, Milo is strictly an indoors kitty. His personality changed dramatically after his return. Before he disappeared, he was angry at the introduction of two new kittens into the household and was aggressive not only toward the new kitties but also toward his other brothers and sisters. After his return, Milo was loving and accepting to all his brothers and sisters, as if to show his appreciation for the family he had briefly lost. Since his birth in 2001, Milo has lived in 4 states and five cities.

Bio: Milo is a solid, handsome fellow. As his former vet said, "He's a fine specimen." For all his manliness, he's really a big mama's boy. When he is scared, he cries for his human mother, and he cowers if he thinks she is mad at him. He is smart and learns quickly what he is not supposed to do. He knows when his human mother does not feel well and tries to console her by laying on the pillow next to her head. He is a good son.
