Arrival Story:
Prima was a consolation cat; my cat George had to be put to sleep on Christmans Eve. He was only 4 and I had only adopted him 18 months prior. After George was adopted, I got him a playmate named Fabian. They LOVED each other; they were domestic partners. After George died, Fabian took his collar and ran off with it (I'm still not sure where he put it) so I knew Fabian could not be alone. I went to the shelter on 12/26, looking for another male Tuxedo cat (like George and Fabian). I had Fabian and my Pomeranian Xanadu with me; I wantd everyone to meet. Well, one male Tux at the shelter freaked out and wouldn't come out, the other wanted nothing to do with me. I hadn't even considered a girl Tux, but I saw Prima and her face looked just like George's! They brought her out and she was totally at ease around Fabian and Xanadu (she even jumped into Xanadu's carry bag). I was was sold on Prima. She came home with me on 12/28.

Bio:
Prima was in the shelter system for 7 months; I know the county shelter does not keep cats for that long, so I can only assume she was fostered by someone. When I adopted her, they had just moved her into the PetSmart adoption cages at the store, so they didn't know much about her.
