Arrival Story:
Nimitz was born under my sisters home in Dallas, TX. She knew my mother had recently agreed to another cat in the home after the only cat I'd ever known had passed away the previous December after 18 or so years. She drove up for memorial day and brought the 6 week old bundle of joy. My mother always claimed he was "full of piss and vinegar". To this day he keeps the phrase alive. He has been with me through my mother's passing, and a move from Missouri to Texas. He recently became a big brother to three new kittens, and thus far doesn't like them.
Nimitz is proud of his Texas heritage and hails his name from Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, the World War II Admiral from Texas. Nimitz is the living embodiment of Garfield the cat.
