OK,Dad has had his little panic attack & crying jag; now it's time to get down to business. We went to what we thought was the Unemployment Office(apparently Florida doesn't have "brick & mortar unemployment offices, they do everything by phone or online),& they gave us the same phone number we called before, with the same result. OK. So Dad spent the rest of the day until 5:00PM looking on the computer for jobs. We found a few leads,a couple of lawn spraying jobs(chemicals-EWW,but a job is a job),a produce clerk job at Fresh Market(never heard of it),a few jobs at HD supply,a part time cabinet shop helper job,& a good paying job in Oakland,California as a mail clerk(hmmm!). Dad has not eaten anything yet today,he has stopped taking the vitamin cocktail of "heart healthy" vitamins he has been taking, & has been vomiting from the stress. He even looked online for SPCA temporary shelter for Cali & me(for economic reasons, spaces are few,& only for 30 days). If worse comes to worse,he will look for campgrounds with spaces to rent & will buy us a tent at Big Lots. Camping Cats! Rawr!

Mine and Mama's heart goes out to you. Hang in there Dad. We are purraying something comes quick for you!
Hugz and purrs, Sassy
We're purring for your dad too! Hope one of those jobs (or an even better one!) comes through for your dad.
Miss Mittens & Kaci
Major! Major stressful life events (that contribute to illness) have assaulted your family in the past year. It's no wonder your Dad can't eat and has been vomiting.
As far as temporary shelter for you and Cali - (and that's a specific type of request! I kind of get the feeling that people want to be told "how to help" and a specific request may turn up a Catster family who could take them in temporarily.)
We will keep purring that some job lead comes through and comes quickly for your Dad.
Tig ... dude ... we are purring for something to come through for Dad. We love you all so much.
My Lady says if we can get a catster train going, you and Cali can come here to Texas..we will drive partway and meet..seriously, we will foster you both till you and Dad can be reunited..BUT! we are purring he finds something..
But we are ready, and here if need be.
We are still purring for some good news for you! Please, eat something dadkat, we know it is not easy :(
From Tigger's to Chef's clowder is about a 1,064 mile trip. We could mobilize the Southern Catsters into Railroad "legs" if needed!
Please do not give up hope! Mom's favorite saying is that "when things seem their worst, and you do not think you can hang on any longer, do not give up then, because that is when the tide will turn". We wish you the best & purr for you. We know they are only words, but our words are with you my friend. We hope that you will finds something quickly.
Nuk/Anuk is right, let us know if you have specific requests. Us cats are resourceful. We can work on a catster train or finding somewhere for you guys. And tell your dadkat to take care of himself! Purring for you!
We are so saddened to hear of your situation Tigger, Cali and dad. Mom remembered seeing something on NBC Nightly News awhile back. It was a Making a Difference segment. She just found the story. It was about a young boy who started a food pantry for people and their pets going thru hard times like your daddy. The young man has collected pet items and food to help people so they can keep their pets and not have to surrender them to shelters. They have a website. It's www.animalpantry.org It's in Central Florida I believe near Orlando. Please research it. Looks like you have to bring certain documents with you to get food. They also seem to have resources to help you find pet friendly housing and such. If nothing they might be able to send you in the right direction until daddy can find a job. Please stay strong and know that miracles can and do happen! It truly is amazing what one young fellow can do to help so many. Wish there were more like him. I do hope this is of some help.
Sending our hugs and purrs,
Simon & Reuben(an angel)
Simon! That's pawesome !!! That's exactly what I was hoping somecat knew about.
Tigger...Cali and dad!....read the email mommy and me sent!
We are purring your dad gets a job soon. We hope that the leads you got here are helpful if you need them. Let us know if we can help you. You are in our purrayers.
