The mousies almost drowned- sad tails

My bro by another..Zach sent us a Christmas pressie.
Thanks dude the Happy River mousies were pawsome (for all the 5 minutes I was allowed to play with mine!)
As you know if you have read Ollie's diary, Mom has been sick with a virus and has not been able to monitor events in my home.
The mousies simply disappeared. Milo and I tried to whine this fact to mom but she just kept on sneezing and coughing.
Go play with something else! She said.
A couple of nights ago she couldn't sleep so she came out to the living room where she made a gruesome discovery..
Before I go any further, if there are kittens reading this, please remove them from the room. I worry that these photos will give them nightmares and maybe make them fear mousies for the rest of their lives.
I would not want to be responsible for that.
So are you ready?

So aside from the sad creatures floating in our water fountain, what else do you see?
Yes, my brother, Oliver!
Milo and I were sleeping the sleep of the innocent but Ollie was immediately at the scene of the crime!
That by itself is proof, right?
The criminal can't help it, he returns to the scene of the crime.
Dr Mom gently removed them from the water,gave them CPR (she squeezed the water out of them) and wrapped them in a towel.

We still don't know if there is any brain damage. So, please purr for these sweet creatures who were only meant to bring us hours of pleasure and now their fate is unknown.

Oliver of course has vehemently denied all accusations. He says he is innocent. When nobody is looking, he sneers at me and says: Prove it bro!
Alas he knows I never will.

A moment of inspiration or How my mom became a Christmas elf- for Fancy Feast!

On November 19th our adorable pal,Jezebel was a DDP. As usual she had been meowing about her favorite subject Fancy Feast; What else would she meow about with a diary title like "Fancy Feast Addict."
So my mom said to me, You know what Tedsy, (I am always beside her when she is on the computer) The FF people should know about Jez! So on a total whim she went to Facebook and found their page
She posted a note about Jez and a link to her catster diary.
Mom wrote that it would be lovely if FF could send Jezebel
a little holiday gift.(After all Jez is doing free PR work!
Tink's Mom was around and also added a comment. A couple of other catster moms "liked" the comment. I believe one of them was our very own COTW
Monida's Mom.
Anyway about 30 minutes later, Mom gets a notification that she has a comment from FF on Facebook. They posted an email address and asked my mom to write to them. Tedsy! Mom said, do you believe this? So I thought to myself, Nah, it's a joke. MOL
Mom writes the email and immediately it bounced back with the message that the email was undeliverable!
See? I said.
Mom said, Not going to worry yet. So she went back to Facebook and told them. Again minutes pass and they write, Sorry! Please write and they provide another email addy. A really nice person wrote and asked for Jezebel's address. She even asked Mom what would Jezebel's mom like.So Mom had to confess that we don't know Jezebel's mom. We are pals with Jez! But Mom said she would leave it up to them to decide what to send. The only thing we knew for sure is that Jez loves the cheese FFs
Now to get Jezebel's address without giving away our surprise.
Mom was thinking and thinking...
MOM! Christmas is coming, I will just ask for Jezebel's address and tell her I want to send her a Christmas card!
You're brilliant Tedsy, mom said. So I did.
Last Sunday evening Mom gets an email that the gift basket was going to be delivered on Monday! I was so excited. I wrote to Jez telling her to expect a surprise come knocking on her door.
I was afraid nobody would be home! So she wrote back all curious. What else would she be,eh? She is a kitty!
But I would not budge. It had to be a surprise!
Last night Mom was very tired and we went to bed early.
Today we read Jezebel's diary the title? Hallelujah!My Fancy Feast Has Come! MOL! She also posted
pictures! OMC! Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine such an awesome presentation! You've got to go and have a look if you haven't already.
Mom said she was very happy to be an elf! It is so much
fun making friends happy!

Hello my pawsome friends,

I have all kind of mews~ it's all good!
Friday did not start out so well. I was napping and suddenly and very unceremoniously my mom dropped me into my carrier.
YES!
She turned the stoopid thing so it was standing vertically, picked me up and DROPPED me in.(This was actually on the advice of the vampire aka the v.e.t. Cause last time we almost didn't make it.
I ask you is that a nice thing to do to sweet little me?
So I kept saying no no no no all the way there.
But once there I got all quiet.
Matthew the vet tech who likes me took me out and I was dangling all limp. (Reminded mom of the first time she met me! MOL)
He put me on the scale where I stood patiently.
GUESS WHAT?
Are you ready?
I have gone from 12.2 to 12.4 lbs!
The vampire walked by and laughed. ( I think at mom!)
She said take him home and stop your worrying! and she patted my head.
Sounds good to me!
So we came home and she gave me a whole bunch of treats.
Yes, just for me. My brothers were not allowed into the room.
It was me time.
My silly mom still thinks that I look like someone "took the stuffing out" of me. Yes, that's a direct quote.
I still think she is just comparing to Ollie who is now officially F.A.T. and Milo who is one chubby dude!
Most probably I lost the weight during the Katerina days.
I am very laid back so mom didn't notice how much she was stressing me out and yes, stealing my food. I always let her cause that's the kind of dude I am.

Speaking of Katerina. We hear from her mom, Francine
regularly! The last we heard, Santa Paws was bringing her
a water fountain! She is much adored. We were really hoping
to convince her to join catster but Francine just doesn't feel
comfortable with her English.
Oh Katerina is now officially trilingual! Yes, she speaks Catese, English and French!

Everyone on our snail mail list, please expect your Christmas cards to arrive by oh, I would say, Valentine's Day!
Mom made cards at Shutterfly. They were scheduled to arrive
November 30th.
At first we were blaming our notorious postal system!
But guess what?
When they arrived on Friday, Dec 15th~ Mom noticed that Shutterfly had the wrong postal code on the package.
Of course the post office was all in a tizzy cause they
can't possibly find us with just our address, you know?
That would give their computer a nervous breakdown!

The good mews is when mom emailed Shutterfly, they give us
our order for FREE!
YAY! Shutterfly Rocks!

Now for some catster mews!
A little while ago, I met a very sweet little dude named Darcy. He is 4 months old and new to catster. So we gave some free and unsolicited advice. MOL
Anyway the little dude, has decided to have a friend of the week and I am his 1st pick!

Update on me and many many thanks for your purrs!

Hello my pals.
Yesterday my second blood test checking my calcium levels came back. This time my calcium level is NORMAL!
I have tested negative for thyroid problems, I don't have leukemia or any other dreaded disease.
I have lost a fraction of weight between the visits which were only a week apart. Doc said, she would not lose sleep over this.
Mom just rolled her eyes. Easy for doc to say~I am not her kitty after all.
So I have to return in a month. If I lose more weight then
they will test more aggressively which will mean an ultrasound.
Meantime I am enjoying the sunshine.

THE VAMPIRE GOT ME....

Didn't anyone tell her Halloween is over???
Hey guys, I know some of you have already heard. I may be in trouble. The thing is except for weight loss (we are not sure but I lost two lbs or more) I have no symptoms.
I am fine. I am eating OK, I am very playful. Mom says I am more kitten like than Milo!
So I am trying to stay optimistic. In my favor is my relative youth.
As my bro, Alfie told you the vet said I have too much calcium in my blood.This is called hypercalcemia.(The VAMPIRE AKA THE VET got me on the neck!! When I came home, the first thing
Ollie did is groom the spot.I was so surprised that he knew! Made mom all misty. I have such
great brothers!)
The vampire will take my blood again in one month and then we will know more. Of course my mom is very upset and worried.
There has been way too many heartaches. We are more than her kitties, we are her babies. She is trying hard not to ask
why her babies are being picked on, you know? So we won't
go there... MOL
Alfie asked the beautiful and sweet angel Cleo to be my official guardian angel. Thank you for the sweet diary entry about me, Cleo. I feel good knowing that you are also watching over me.

Memories of Alfie

Alfie was the best brother. We were never far from each other.
Almost every morning, we would run side by side down the long corridor from mom's bedroom towards the kitchen where breakfast
was always served. Every morning as we run, I would playfully
wrap my paws around Alfie's neck and try to wrestle him to
the floor. He was a big dude so every single time, he would keep walking and I would end up on the floor.
It was our morning ritual that never failed to make mom grin.
We had a lot of fun together.
When he left us, Milo and I grieved on mom's bed. We hardly ate,
didn't play, just slept and slept.We found comfort in each other
We are fine now. Unlike humans we don't hold on to sorrow.
Life is about today, that is something humans should learn
from us.

Thank you for the love and awesome kindness you have show my mom. Thank you for keeping our Alfie alive in your hearts.
You guys ROCK!
