I'm supposed to be laying down in the bathroom but my owners aren't home so I picked the lock... Shhh....
They think I got into a fight with another cat/fell out of a tree/got hit by a car/got my head chomped by a fox... But no matter how it happened, the fact is that I have "head trauma", apparently. Not fun.
Last night my owners were watching Sherlock Holmes (Hailey loves it!!) and I went to look out the door... I ended up getting freaked out and Hailey went to see what it was and they saw a big cat that looked like a lighter version of me... So they're thinking that that's what I went up against that broke my jaw. They aren't sure though.
I had to have surgery yesterday. They had to wire my jaw, but not shut. The dr said that I might have hardly any appetite afterwards, but what's funny is I was so hungry that I ate 2 cans of wet cat food last night, and one this morning. They said dry cat food or treats, if I eat them they can break my jaw all over again.
Well I'm tired. *yawn* Later!

I can't believe it's 2010 already. In 4 months, Dusty and I will be a year old. :)
I have been even more nice and loving to Hailey now! Every weekend morning I run into Morgan's room (which is right near to the bathroom that Dusty and i sleep in every night that it's cold out.)
Our real mom, Gypsie, gets to sleep in The Cat Chair because she's a good girl and barely moves all night, much less goes to the bathroom like the humans for some reason think me and my brother would...
So anyway, every morning I run into Hailey's room and jump up on her bed and start gently kneading her leg because I'm getting comfortable. :) this usually wakes her up and she starts petting me. Then when her hand falls back to the bed and her eyes shut and I think she might be starting to fall asleep but I don't want her to because I need someone to pet me, I walk closer and start purring loudly. Then when she opens her eyes a crack, I purr even louder and push my face into hers. Usually she smiles and laughs, so I keep doing it.
Dusty has been getting a little more skittish around the humans, and everyone's surprised since he's always been the more loving of the two. I don't know what's up with him. But he's been friendlier to me lately, playing around and play fighting more and more. :)
Love,
~Ashton~

They keep giving me and Dusty and Gypsie these yummy treats called .... well I don't know what they're called, but they're crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. :) they're tasty.
