Arrival Story:
Having 7 cats already, I certainly was not looking for another one! I am on the Board of Directors for a Recognized Horse Trials and our meetings rotate among houses. We were at a meeting in July 2003 that was at a horse farm, and the lady's beautiful white kitty had had kittens (which I had seen at the previous meeting in May). The white ones were just ADORABLE, and one of them "Two Spot" - aptly named by a 3 year old - had two grey spots on his head that actually had tabby striping in them. Well, this kitten and his sister slept in my lap the whole meeting. All I ever wanted was a lap cat, and none of mine seemed to want to be there. It helps if they are brought up by a 3 year old carrying them around all the time! The lady and her Mom kept after me to take the kitten, but I resisted. But I thought about him a lot over the next couple of months. I went to the lady's baby shower in September and she and her Mom threatened for one of the "games" - the prize would be the white kitten! I still resisted. Then the lady hosted a trail ride on her property in October...and I took the kitty crate with me that day. Then the lady's mom had a heart attack that the 3 year old was going to have a fit if I took the kitten! I said, "Look, you've badgered me for months, and now I'm taking the kitten. He will get over it, there are tons of cats here." And home he went with me. When I was 3, my Mom and I used to watch Kimba the White Lion on TV everyday at 3:30. I always loved Kimba. Now I have him!

Kimba was from a litter of 6, 3 white ones, 2 black ones (one with the cutest short tail), and a tabby. As it turns out, he is probably the only survivor of the whole litter, so I don't feel bad at all that I took him!
