Arrival Story:
Lily's mother was owned by a friend of mine. The mother cat refused to breed with another very beautiful Abyssian, but preferred the "boy next door". So three very beautiful mixed breed cats were born.

Bio:
Lily is a bit grouchy in her old age. She has a bit of arthritis (I've just started her on medicine for that). She also has a very pushy younger brother. But Lily is very loving toward me and loves my mother. When we moved back to the suburbs from the apartment Lily re-lived her youth as a champion tree climber. Since Lily has been on glucosimine she has become much livlier now and jumps up on the bed or plays with the teaser whenever she wants.

I caught a bird on Saturday!

Mommy was walking Pad Thai around the side of the condo and I got lucky! When Mommy brought Pad Thai inside, there I was with a satisfied look on my face and my kill proudly displayed on the carpet.

I have to brag because having been inside for seven years you might think I'd lost my touch, but no, I'm still a card-carrying cat. I know it's wrong and Mommy doesn't like me killing the birds but I can't help myself. It's just such a thrill to kill something.

Rat's end - but I couldn't take credit

Well I’m sure you’ve wondered where I was with dealing with the rats. I must tell you that my Uncle Charlie has taken care of that problem when he came to visit for my cousin’s wedding. I won’t get into specifics, or the time I ran a little rat bastard down who had the nerve to come up to the patio. Uncle Charlie has many skills. And my Mommy loves him as her favorite brother so I guess he’s all right.

What I will tell you is that I am guarding these peanuts. Hey, I’m old and fat and so might even say, lazy – but I’m not stupid. If a dumb bird happens to come down to get a peanut close to me, I’m ready.

So have a nice summer all of you, my worshipping humans.

Lily's Lament

I haven’t been outside lately to whip things into shape and I’ll tell you why. The Siamese is a nut. He yowls and yowls in his little playpen and drives us crazy so we have to come in. If that wasn’t bad enough, last night the stupid man my mommy hates was talking on tv and I was on the bed hoping I could put my Mommy to bed soon and the Idiot Siamese comes in and attacks me like I had weapons of mass destruction or something.

Every day I’ve gone out lately the yowling has driven me in. I apologize to my admirers who felt, by now that I would have secured a kill. But how can one venture forth while the diarrhea mouth is in action?
