Mr. Alvin has gone Home. He is so greatly missed. :( It was a long hard battle for him, but he never gave up til the end. He was so full of life and lived it everyday to the fullest. He was such a joy to have around. He will be forever in our hearts.

I'm baaaack! I'm bigger and better than ever! All healed up and back to my ol' self! I'm glad that little episode is all over with now. I eat like a pig! Mom says I'm up to 12 pounds!!! I chase off the neighbor kitty who tries to steal my food and get plenty of exercise! I've found a new place to hang out, too! In mom's kitchen window! I like to get up there and watch her wash dishes and just spy on what's going on. Hee Hee. Mom's says I'm like a piece of toast popping up from the toaster! Winter's coming on and it's getting colder, so I spend alot of time in my house. Mom has a special pad in there to keep me warm. I just love it! I still come in the "big" house from time to time, but I prefer to stay outdoors. I can only be inside for a few minutes. Long enough for me toget warm and check things out. Yep, everythings still here....ready to go back out now. My recovery was long and hard, but Mom knew just what to do for me and I'm soooo grateful! I'll check back in soon! I wish all my furrends a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

My life changing experience!

Whew!! That was a close one!! Let me tell you about it........I was out on one of my nightly "outings" and I believe I was hit by a car, I'm not really sure, it's all been such a blur. Mom and Dad found me the next morning and I was just a mess! Mom immediately scooped me up and took me inside and got me cleaned up. After carefully checking me over she could see that my left eye was a little messed up and my left hip wasn't working too well. Mom and Dad didn't have any money to take me to the Dr. so Mom did the best she could fixing me back up. She took very good care of me! She made me a place in Dad's garage and moved my "house" in next to the tool box. She gave me lots of fresh water and food. I didn't eat much for the first few days. Lost a little weight. It was really touch and go for awhile. Some of her friends told her to just put me to "sleep", but she wouldn't give up!! She would even come out to the garage and just sit with me for hours!! She talked to me and petted on me, and just stayed with me. She even prayed for me (Yeah!). She kept me inside the garage and out of the elements (even left the stereo on playing soft music!) til I started showing signs getting better.
I must have been on the mend, 'cause I started eating a little bit more each day. One day she came out to check on me and I rubbed up against her like I had before, and she was soooo happy. I stayed in the garage where I was safe for a few more days, then started to wander out in the back yard for a bit.
It was a long, hard road to recovery, but, I'm about 98% back!! I don't prefer to stay in the garage any more, I'd rather be out in the nice weather sleeping in my chair on the patio! Soooo, she moved my "house" back outside, just by the door. I don't sray from my yard much at all any more. I think I'll just stay right at home where I'm safe!! I'm so grateful for Mom, I just want to be with her ALL the time now. I'll keep all my friends posted on my recovery!!!! Oooooo, I see a bird......gotta go!
