I love my humans, food, and sleeping!
MY BROFUR, HARLEY. I have never liked him. I also hate all the other cats in the house. They really bug me!!!
I like to chase bugs once in a while. I also like catnip filled toys!
Favorite Nap Spot:
I like to sleep on the cat tree, the human's bed, the bath tub, in a carrier, behind the couch....I guess just about anywhere!!!
I like canned food the best!
I really don't have any special skills except pestering my human's when I want attention and they are busy!! Getting my eye goo (woo goo) all over the house when I shake my head it goes flying! MOL
Meowmy took in a stray kitty (her name was Nellie) and soon found out that she was pregnant. Several weeks later, Mama Nellie, had her four kittens and I was one of them. I was the only girl in the litter! Toby and Harley are my real brothers. I have been around meowmy all my life and was even born two days after her birthday!!
I had a really rough start in life. I have severe eye problems and I have had several eye surgeries on my eyes. I was born without my inner eye lids and the hair was growing on the inside of my outter eye lids. I had surgeries to remove the hair before I was 6 months old and I have scarring on my eyes . I had a lot of problems with infections in my eyes and I also came down with Toxoplasmosis when I was 6 months old. I've always had problems with excess eye boogers in my eyes.
I also started having problems with my teeth in 2006. In October of '06, I had all my molars pulled. For several months after I had my teeth pulled, I still had problems with my gums. I had to keep going in about two to three months to get a steroid shot so I would keep eating and not have any pain. That finally started going away after about 6 months of having my molars pulled. My gums must have finally toughened up and now I can eat my dry food without meowmy softening it for me. I have been maintaining my weight too. When I had my teeth pulled, my doctor also gave me a shot near my eyes to see if he could clear up my eyes. My eyes cleared up and no more eye boogers. I still have a little clouding on my eyes from the surgeries but they were so much better! It may not be the greatest but I can see again. I can chase bugs too!!! Something I haven't been able to do in a long time!!! My eyes are still very clear! My doctor has told my meowmy that because my gums get so imflammed and nothing really gets rid of it completely...he said that I should be periodically checked for leukemia. He said he wouldn't be surprized in the least if someday I test positive for it. I have always been negative...so far!! I am a real good kitty and LOVE attention!!!! I am a special kitty but my family loves me!!!

I had a urinary tract infection and that was very yucky. It wasn't fun hanging out in the litterbox almost every minute that you're awake. Meowmy took me to the vet and I had to take medicine. I still have some left that I have to take. I didn't fight meowmy but I did hate taking it. I am feeling lots better and I hope that I never have to go through that again! MOL MOL MOL
When I first came down with it and meowmy noticed it, she put me in this huge dog crate so that she could make sure I was using the litter box and not just straining etc. I had a severe panic attack and totally freaked out. My sisfur, Annie, was in one of the bathrooms and so meowmy switched us and put me in the bathroom. That was much better and I hung out and slept in the sink instead of the bed that meowmy put in there! So I am feeling better and not in the bathroom anymore! YAY! Oh and the medication has cleared up my eyes some so maybe all I need is more anti biotics to clear it up the rest of the way!

OMC! This just is horrible. This past weekend, I started feeling like I had to go to the litter box constantly. Meowmy noticed me in the litter box very often and figured that I had a urinary tract infection since I was doing the same thing that she has seen Winchester do when he has one. She put me in the bathroom so that I didn't pee on everything which I hadn't yet. I decided to lay in the sink in the bathroom and later when meowmy checked on me, I had pee'd in the sink. Meowmy wasn't happy that I had done this but in a way glad that I did. She noticed that I was peeing blood. It had a lot of blood in it too otherwise she would have not noticed that much blood.
I went to the vet on Monday and the vet confirmed that I had a urinary tract infection. I got pills to take now and meowmy was thinking that I would fight her to give me the pill but I am being a good girl and cooperating. I am starting to feel better and it is a good feeling not having to go to the litter box every 2 seconds! MOL MOL MOL Oh and I hollered all the way to the vet and all the way home! MOL MOL MOL
Meowmy said that I am the first female kitty that she has had that has had a urinary tract infection. It has always been Winchester, Opie or Riley. Oh well, I'm just glad that I am feeling better!! YAY!
I am also having problems with my eyes again. They are clouding over and gooing a lot. I had some medicine injected near my eyes when I had my toofies pulled about 4 years ago and it cleared up my eyes and I had not had ANY problems up until now. The vet said that he wanted to clear my urinary tract infection up first and then he will treat the eyes. He is thinking about doing what the last vet did with the injection since it lasted so long but they will have to put me under to do it. So, I will have to go to the vet again soon for that! Oh well, once in 4 years isn't a bad thing! MOL

I just wanted to ask effuryone to please purr hard for my sisfur, Annie. She hasn't been feeling good the past few weeks. The doctor has done a lot of tests on her and is waiting for a thyroid test to come back. Annie is going to be going to a different vet that our regular vet referred us to for a second opinion. Our doctor has been consulting with him about Annie. Please keep her in your thoughts, hearts, purrayers and keep purring for her. She really can use it! My pawrents are very worried about Annie and are doing the best they can for her. All my brofurs & sisfurs are all posting this message in their diaries. Get better little Annie...we all love you! Here is a link to her page:
