I just returned from having 4 teeth pulled today. The funny thing is my pupils are still big and black; but that will wear off by morning. That is what usually happens, because I was 'cat-napping' so to speak, while the Vet did the surgery.
The Vet said I had lots of little teeth missing; where did they go!? They said that can happen sometimes too; and not to worry. Maybe that's why I got these little coughs sometimes, if I had swallowed a teeny tiny tooth. I don't know why my teeth would wanna fall out & leave me!
I sure was hungry when I got home awhile ago. That was because I could not eat anything after 12 midnight. But my Dad was lenient and fed all of us at 12:40 am last night! Well really, he was behind in getting all his things done! He wanted to be sure I ate around midnight since it would be awhile until I'd eat again.
In the morning I will be given a syringe of pain medication and again the next morning too; but they said I have to eat before getting the medicine.
Probably I will be sleepy most of this evening; ahh yawn...
Before I fall asleep:
Happy Easter to all of you!
Love Ginger xo

ah poor Ginger....I can relate sister!!! I had 9 teeth pulled last Wednesday.....I have stomatitis so some of my teeth resorbed? I also had big glassy eyes when I came home....you'll feel better in the morning and take the pain meds it really helps.....the vet also took a biopsy so the Mrs is waiting on the results and we both have our paws crossed it is nothing.....Feel better Ginger:)
We are sorry for both of you having to have that many teeth pulled at one time, and we're purraying for no complications!!!
Luv, Tink & Snow
OMC! Did we miss an earlier posting that you were going to have that done?
Anyways, we sure hope you will sleep well, and not be in too much pain.
Now that those naughty teeth are gone, you should soon feel a whole lot better.
Ouchie, Ginger! I hope everything goes well and you're all healed up real soon. We're purring for you!
No, I never posted about this before. My dad won't take the time to press my paws to each key, individually of course, anymore! He said my big black pupils made me look like I was angry (poor lil' me; I am never mad at anything). I kept pressing my nose against the carrier door because I wanted to get out and play.
I imagine I'll be eating a lot better now. I had some periods of finding it hard to eat soft food lately; and knowing how I am, I never refuse food. But now I'll be back to normal!
Thanks for purring everyone!
Love, Ginger, xo
I had some teeth pulled a couple years ago - my appetite increased a lot after!
Wow, you poor babies!! All of you's dat had teef pulled! I never has had dat done.....I hopes I neffer do......I get shaved now and then, to keep from matting, buts I thinks that would be a "walk in da park" compared to teef pulling......
Oh Jezebel that's all I need, is to increase my appetite! Luckily I had lost a few pounds before this; now I'll gain them back?
My dad won't like that, or the vet either I suppose!
Something huh Bonnie? Me, Elsa, Tabatha, Serena had teeth pulled. I hope you never have to, but when they're pulled I don't feel a thing. Even this morning I seemed to have no pain and I ate good, but my dad gave me pain medicine anyway!
LOVE the floppy ears, Easter Bonnie!!! MOL!!
Ginger, we're glad you've had no pain so far! It's a good thing when you get teeth pulled. It's not good to lose weight from painful teeth. Your appetite and your weight should straighten out now, and as long as you are being fed the right amount, you should not get overweight.
Of course, this is an ideal, and we all know with multiple cats things are harder, but your mouth will heal and stop hurting now.
Yikes! But I know it's a good thing to get those bad teeth out - now it won't hurt to eat, and the poison from the teeth won't be in your system either, sweetie! Hugs!
Poor girl! Callie and I were both at the vet and had to get just 1 tooth pulled each. We can recover together!
owie that sounds like it hurts but you seem to be doing so well and that is good to hear sweet girl. you are so brave purring you keep on feeling better
