Today I went to the Bridge. Mommy told me she'd take care of me until I started to suffer, and that time had come. I had rallied for a few months, but last week I started to slip. My back legs were giving out, I started refusing food, and I lost control of my bladder. The vet told us that the treatments were harder on me than the cure at this point. Poor mom was crying so hard, but after we said goodbye, the vet gave me something to help me almost dose off. Mommy talked with me, and I purred until my heart stopped.
I know I was mommy favorite, and she is taking this so hard, but I am at the Bridge, chasing lizards, and cloud hopping with Lady Fee and Mylo.
Don't cry, mommy....you were my favorite, too.

Miranda and I met on Catster and it was love at first sight for me. I waited a long time to ask her to marry me and when she said yes, my heart leaped out of my chest!
We had a lovely wedding on the patio of the Foreign Legion with VIJAY officiating.
Our reception was held at the Late Late show where more of our friends came to wish us well.
I am including our vows here for those who could not attend. The wedding is in the Other Meows and Purrs forum, foreign legion thread, pages 952 thru 957
We have come together here in celebration of the joining together of Miranda and Gysmo.
There are many things to say about marriage. With each union, more knowledge is gained and more wisdom gathered. Though we are unable to give all this knowledge to these two who stand before us, we can hope to leave with them the knowledge of love and its strengths and the anticipation of the wisdom that comes with time. The law of life is love unto all beings. Without love, life is nothing, love is the abiding magic.
Marriage is a bond to be entered into only after considerable thought and reflection. As with any aspect of life, it has its cycles, its ups and its downs, its trials and its triumphs. With full understanding of this, Gysmo and Miranda have come here today to be joined as one in marriage.
Others would ask, at this time, who gives the bride in marriage, but, as a female is not property to be bought and sold, given and taken, I ask simply if she comes of her own will and if she has her family's blessing.
VIJAY: Miranda, Do you come here of your own will and with your family’s blessing?
MIRANDA: Yes, this is true.
Please join hands with your betrothed and listen to that which I am about to say.
Above you are the stars, below you are the stones, as time doth pass, remember -- Like a stone should your love be firm; like a star should your love be constant.
VIJAY: Gysmo, do you take Miranda to be your wife and bond-mate for life?
GYSMO: I do. Miranda, I promise to love you, to be your best friend, to respect and support you, to be patient with you, to work together with you to achieve our goals, to accept you unconditionally, and to share life with you throughout the years.
VIJAY: Miranda, do you take Gysmo to be your husband and bond-mate for life?
MIRANDA: I do. Gysmo, I love you. You are my best friend. Today I give myself to you in marriage. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle.
I promise to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard,
when our love is simple, and when it is an effort. I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard. These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life
VIJAY: You may exchange rings.
GYSMO: I offer this ring to you as a symbol of my love and of the vows I have just spoken.
*places ring on Miranda’s paw*
MIRANDA: I offer this ring to you as a symbol of my love and of the vows I have just spoken.

Let the powers of the mind and of the intellect guide you in your marriage, let the strength of your wills bind you together, let the power of love make you happy, and the strength of your dedication make you inseparable.
By the power vested in me by Catster and as a Spirit of This World and the World Beyond, I now pronounce you husband and wife, bond-spirits for life.
May your love so endure that its flame remains a guiding light unto you.
And, of course, kiss your bride!
