I celebrated a birthday at the beginning of this month. Because Gram is in and out of the hospital and rehab, things have been kind of crazy around here. I did enjoy my day, Mom made sure to give me extra playtime with my red ball and my catnip heart from Zach. They are my favorite things in the whole world.
I do want to thank you all for thinking of me, sending birthday messages and gifts, and reminding Mom that it was my special day! I'm glad I have you guys around to help keep her in line. I want to thank...
Jezebel and Charlie for the singing Blue Bird
Tiger, Tiny and Beauty for the Flowers (they are so colorful)
Milo, Smokey Joe, Timmy, Zig and family for the Rose (so tender and beautiful))
Marmelade and family for Singing to me and for the Flowers (they harmonize really well!)
Mac, Ivy, Legalos and Zander for the Lady Bug (I chase her, but won't hurt her, they say they are good luck!)
Big Harry and Family for the Kite (it sure flies nice, we had some great breezy days for flying it)
Finney, Lacey and Angel Alex for the flowers (it may not feel like spring, but it sure looks like it)
Calista, Crouton, Pistachio and family for the flowers (they are still blooming and look great)
Sleeper, Samhain, Fearless, Owl and family for the Happy Blue Bird and the beautiful cake (it tasted as wonderful as it looked...yum!)
Angel Alfie, Buzz, Boo and Dave for the Rose (Red is my favorite color!)
Tink and Snow for the Cupcakes (they were huge and delicious- they rival the ones from House of Cupcakes in NJ)
and to the one who stole my heart, the handsome Cat of the Month, the Cat of my Dreams, Zachery Tristan who knows the way to my heart is through my bell, lol....thanks for the yummy cake
Thank you all for making my day so special! We love you guys all so very much!
And now the snowball story.....
Once upon a time, there was a pretty calico kitty. She lived in a far away town that received a snowstorm. Not an overwhelming amount, but enough that the humans had to shovel. They bundled up and got their shovels. They did the front steps and the sidewalk and around the cars. I watched and inspected their work from the living room window. They proceeded to shovel the sidewalk that goes around the side of the house. I monitored their progress and caught up to them as they reached the kitchen. I sat in the side windows as they made their way to the back of the house. They began to shovel the patio and the sidewalk up the backyard, making a path to the bird feeder and the heated birdbath. (Yes we have a heater, so the bird's water is never frozen) I sat in the back kitchen window on the very narrow ledge. All the other windows have a radiator under them that we can sit and even lay on quite comfortably. But this is just the window sill, only about 3" wide. I balanced there watching her. Mom saw me. I was watching her but I was also a little distracted because some new snow was falling, big flakes. I did not see Mom pick up the snow and pack it into a a little round ball. I did not see her toss it in my direction until BANG it hit the very window where I was sitting on the narrow ledge. I jumped( ahem, or maybe fell off). There is a little step ladder that helps us get up there, onto the kitchen counter where we are allowed to sit and to the window). I slowly climbed the ladder. I had to know what had just happened. Mom was watching and slowly saw two ears and then my head reappear, looking left and right, I saw Mom and realized what she had done! I gave her a look (you know the one!) and ran from the window. I didn't stay mad long, it was kind of funny. I got her back though, later when she was sitting on the toilet, I was in the sink and I splashed her a good one with the cold water!
So there you have it. The snowball story. And we all lived happily after!

MOL! What a funny tail of snow...
Have a great day, and we hope that eventually your grammy will get a lot stronger and better.
Purrs to all!
What a GREAT story!! Luv, Snow
He just likes stories with his NAME in them!! Mom affectionately calls him every possible name that could go with it, like Snowshoe, Snowblind. Then there's Snowstorm and Snowdrift, which I thinks describe him better!!! MOL! Luv, Tink
MOL, what a funny story!
Hey Tink, how about Snowpacalypse? MOL! OR Snownami. Momma was always laughing bout da names da TV people gave da storms when she lived in Boston and she told me those were a couple of them.
Snownami - heehee!!! That's so cute! But really, Mom, you need to take the Kitten part off of his name - he's a grown up man-cat now, aren't you my little snowdrop?
Funny story, Skittles! Fearless, please - you're embarrassing me...
Tink the Cat and Snow the Kitten are more ironic names than anything - after all, it is Catster.
Snow's is especially so because he looks so sweet and he's so white, he can make cat people assume he's a really good guy, I myself LUV Snownami and Snowpocalypse!!
And he is grown-up at almost two, he's finally settling down a little, but at 8lbs he seems to be the runt of the litter. We thought it was Novi which is why he's named "Number 6". They both weigh 8 lbs, but the other 3 are 10+ lbs.
Snow is bright white, Spot, was born with a gray spot on the top of his head, which completely faded, which pretty much made his name ironic too, and now he looks like twin of Snow. All five of them are really sweet and affectionate kitties to hyoomes but Snow still sneaks up on me when I'm sleeping and bites me!! However, I am sweet to him and I always wash the dirty spot on the top of his head that all boy-kitties seem to have!!!
Skit--that's too funny. Mom and I just had a good laugh. She thought the whole story was funny and says she can just see it, especially the description of your return for investigation. I liked the sink water part. Serves her right!
