It is Good to be the King
A night away from homeFebruary 1st 2013 1:34 pm[ Leave A Comment | 15 people already have ]
Mom had to take me to the Emergency Vet today. I got sick again last night and can't eat. She called my regular doc this morning but since it is Friday they would not get my blood work back until Monday the doc thought it would be best to go to the hospital. It is about 40 minutes away. I was there before, when I had my bout with pancreatitis.
Leave A Comment | 15 people already have Rusty we are sending you big time purrs my friend. PURRPURRPURRPURR from the 4 of us & mom too Gunnie and are are PURRRRRRRRRRRRRING bigtime for you to get better. Peekie We are all purring and praying for you. Hope you get to go home tomorrow and will feel better. hugs and love from all of us All of us are purring nonstop for you! Love, Marmelade Thank you everyone. Mom got a call from the doctor tonight. I had my ultrasound and the good news is that it didn't show any masses. She said it actually looked very similar to my last one. They believe the high counts may be attributed to inflammation again around my pancreas and liver areas. They also are considering IBD. I think they are going to run the other test to check for pancreatitis. They have changed my antibiotic and have started a few other meds that mom can't remember the names. They are keeping me and will call Mom before lunchtime tomorrow. If can keep food down they will send me home and have me come back in two weeks for a re-check. Keep your purrs coming. I miss sleeping with my family. We are purring for you, Rusty! Get well soon so you can come home! Headbonks Tiger and Tiny Many Many purrs from us my friend it cannot be fun to have a night away from home, sure hope you can come home tomorrow Sending purrs! Dude, we are all purring for you here to come home soon. To my BFF's Mom from my Mom- I know your scared and with Mrs. Murphy your focus is always one the big C. But there are other reasons for high Lymphocyte counts. Chronic infection, a viral infection, an immune-mediated disease or a recent vaccination. The underlying cause for this elevation is unknown till the Good Doc can do all the test. Don't panic yet. Rusty, we are purring so hard we are going to vibrate the earth again! All for you! We love you and waiting for good news. Here's a new update.... The doctor called this morning and said that I had a good night. She called me a "sweetie". Said "I was purring up a storm" and giving her head nudges and lovin' on her. I even ate for her. My temp is still elevated so they added my Baytril back in to the mix of meds. She believes that the machine may have interpreted my results wrong. That they may have been toxic neutrophils not lymphocytes. They are going to do more bloodwork at 3pm. They are still thinking more along the lines of pancreatitis and possible triaditis. Rusty, dearest brother, I do miss you, but did the doctor happen to find my red ball anywhere in there, with all those tests she is doing? Dude, I was looking all over the house for you last night! (Till Mom explained where you were). Hope you will be home soon. Rusty I had triaditis and it's not fun!!! I'm so sorry you might have this, it's painful, I know. I'm purring for you and I'm gonna come and hold your paw at the hospital to keep you company okay? Thanks Alex! I'd really like that! |
