I go for my xray on Tuesday afternoon. Mom is going to Petco tomorrow to really look at a bunch of food. One that I really seemed to like & stayed down is Halo chicken pate wet food. However it does have spinach in it. What to do... That is the bad thing, I am soooo picky - I know it makes mom crazy. I would love to eat the really cheap food too, but mom says NO! (I always try to tear open the bag of food that the outdoor kitties get)
Then we found out that if I do have IBD, the insurance mom applied for will not even accept me, as they refused Tigger with his heart condition. If it is an allergy, then they will take me. Mom is not sure how to even begin to check if it is an allergy to a food.....but aside from that I really act purrfectly fine, so that is good.

Sweetheart right now just go ahead and feed the one with spinach. Moderation is the key, you can't avoid it I'm afraid. Spinach is now in everything!!!! As far as allergy, you have to do elimination diets. Going for weeks without a certain protein like chicken or whatever and then trying another if that doesn't work. It takes a long time. You don't have to eat just one brand you know. Mommy doesn't feed Lacey and Finney the same thing all day. Always different stuff.
For allergies, Sometimes they say to try "a unique protein" like using duck or rabbit or venison. We bought some in Petco when we thought that Ivan had a food allergy. They are a bit on the pricey side, but they may help you figure out if you are allergic to an ingredient.
My sweet friend what is a girl to do about food when us cats are so picky...I am too and it frustrates Mom.
Mom has insurance for me too and they will never cover me if I have respiratory issues or asthma....mine was pre-exsisting.
We are purring for you and hope you are OK
On Maizy, we hope it's nothing serious. My Dad is thinking I should go in and get checked out to be sure nothing is wrong with me since I'm a fussy eater too. Is pet insurance that expensive? Dad was thinking about when he first adopted us but thought it wouldn't be worth the money spent in the long term because those companies are so darn picky.
I hope you find a food you like! If you can keep it down and it's good for you, extra money that the food costs will be worth it in the long run.
