The vet was very impressed with mom to have found the lumpy. She said that it is a reaction to my shot. My tissues got inflamed, and if it is gonna do that, it usually happens within 3 weeks of the shot. The rabies vaccine she uses is not known to cause sarcomas, but she said that if it is still there in a month, she will take it out - being safe is better than sorry. She has already decided that I will not get any more vaccines. none. ever.
The other issue I have been battling a bit, is that when she checks my spine, I have an area that is very tender. So much so that I do cry & wince a bit. She mentioned to mom before that I prob have arthritis. Some days I do not get the Cosequin 2x, so mom is making sure to be strict with that first - otherwise the vet said she could try this shot - not a steroid, but starts with an a...Adequin I think? I would get 1 shot every 5 days until I have 5, then once a month. I am not showing any signs of slowing down or that I even have any issues, unless you press those areas, so mom thinks maybe we will see how I am doing in a month or so.
Has anyone had experience with these Adequin shots for arthritis though?
ps we had an excellent Christmas. Both human children came "home" and it was nice to see them. I made sure to get fur on them both to take back. Momma was very happy. We got of course our cat tree, and a Yeoww fish toy. Felix got a little chirping bird toy, and Nana got us a bag of treats.

We're so glad your lumpy bumpy is not going to bump up in the middle of the night! Stay strong tiger man!
That's good news Tigger. We hope things keep improving for you!
That's great Tigger. Good catch Mom! Glad you had a good Christmas! Our grandma got us treats too.
Tigger, I take Adequan for arthritis. The vet started me on it a few months ago. I took two shots a week for a month, and now take a shot the first of every month. Mom thinks it helps, though I still kind of gimp around.
She wishes she had started it earlier, before my arthritis got so bad that the Cosequin didn't help any more.
If yours isn't too bad, maybe it will help keep it from getting worse.
