Mom was back to see Grammy at the hospital today. She went this afternoon because it was snowing really hard this morning and she was worried about the roads. Grammy is still sleeping alot and can't move her right side and her speech is somewhat affected. All her vitals are stable and they are waiting for the swelling around the brain to recede to see how much damage the stroke caused. The area where she had the stroke is deep in the brain and in an area where surgery would just cause more damage than the stroke itself. She knows Mom and will answer her, but then falls right back to sleep. Hopefully she will pull out of this and be transferred to a rehab center closer to home. Thank you all for your purrs and prayers, they mean so much to us. Love, Skylar and Mom Michele

Purrr purrr purrr!!!
you guys are special to us!!
Purrr purrr purrr!!
We love you guys, too, and your geo-proximity makes us feel as Catster-related to you as we do to Blizz' furmily, or Ingen's!!
We purray for all of you daily and will continue to. We wish that only the best things will come to you, and if not that, that bad things like this will result in good things to come, and that you may know why before you leave this earth.

Thanks Tink! I didn't even share this info on Facebook. You guys are sure more like family to us. Keep the prayers coming, it might be a long difficult road.
Sending loads of purrs and good thoughts, as well as many awyers.
Meowmy used to work in rehab, and yes, it is hard work, but each thing relearned is how people get back to being independent and well.
We hope your Grammy will do well, really well.
Was she able to get any of the stoke busting medicine? That needs to be given as close to the 'event' as possible.
We meant pawyers, not awyers, MOL!
Thanks WeBees! She couldn't get the medicine because it was too long from when she had the stroke. She is 79 and lived on her own and loved her independence.
We love you guys so we know we would love her. Huge purrs going to our bestest friends in the world.
Your Grammy sounds like a strong willed lady, that is a good thing when it comes to wanting to get better and go back to her own home eventually.
I'm sending lotsa purrs.
Thank you for the update Skylar. We are purraying for her recovery!
Sending purrs and hugs to you and your family.
Wishing Grammy all the best on a quick recovery.
