Just wanted to post a quick entry. My brother Rusty is in the hospital. Mom took him this morning. He was vomiting on Friday, several times, and would not eat or drink yesterday. He was not himself yesterday and even after a good night's sleep, he was very lethargic today. She did not want to wait another day to go to our regular vet, so she took him to the hospital that is about 40 minutes north of us. They did blood work and a urinalysis and an x-ray (to rule out ingesting a foreign body), a quick ultrasound of his bladder and they are giving him fluids. Tomorrow they will be doing an ultrasound and he will be seeing an internist. They think it could be pancreatitis, but there is also inflammation around the liver and the gall bladder. Tomorrow's test may give us a better idea of what is going on.
Please keep him in your purrs, please don't use your zealies and send gifts, just send a thought his way for a good recovery. Mom is surprised at how quickly he got sick. He had been eating well, playing, using his box right up until Friday morning. Other than the occasional hairballs, he is not one to ever really get sick. Thanks,

All of us here are purrrring for them to figure this out for him real quick and for him to get better fast. Puurrring for your mom, too. Sick kitties is tough on the moms!

Oh Skylar! I hate it when I see other kitties getting the same stuff I had. Tell your mommy to contact mine if she has any questions about this stuff okay? I had both pancreatitis and fatty liver disease with my IBD. My mommy knows all about that stuff.

Skylar, I am sending lots of purrs for Rusty, my fellow cream tabby! I hope that this is just a minor setback, and that he will be back to 100% as soon as possible! Purrs and hugs for Rusty and your whole family!
