Kitten-kabobs? C'mon, cats, we're not *canibals* here! That kitten, however annoying, is out *own species!* I, however, wouldn't mind a bit of sauted, lightly pan-fried lizard. The hatchlings would be barely a mouthful each, but I bet once you got past the spikes, that ole' mama lizard would be tasty!

Today is Friday, which is my third favorite day of the week. Why, you might ask, is it my THIRD favorite? Well, see, my human bean works Monday through Friday, then she's mostly at home with us Saturday and Sunday...sometimes she goes someplace on Saturday, but she's usually at home on Sunday...SO...Sunday is my *favorite* day of the week, Saturday is my second favorite, and Friday comes in third, because it's the last workday of the week for my mom!
It's raining today. I heard the squawky man on the noisebox say last night that it's supposed to rain here all weekend long. That's wonderful, don't you think? I do, because that means my mom will stay in, and not leave us at all for two whole days!
See, I don't like to lap share. I think that's just nasty! Queen China thinks mom's lap is *hers* first, and she's up there most of the time (greedy gut), then Raven and Chan and Zeus are next in line...so sometimes I have to wait a long long time to get lap time when she's in her bigchair in front of the noisebox. But usually when she takes two whole days at home, I get to sneak in a little time for ME!
Wish me luck! I'm going to try very hard to get some daylight snuggle hours with my bean!!

I'm Soda Pop, but mostly my bean calls me Sodie. I was named after a cat I never met, but my bean says she was very special. She was the "clinic cat" at our doctor's office for many many years. She was a black and white cat they call a "tuxedo" cat, whatever that means. She was friends with my bean, and when the original Soda Pop was murdered by a sick barker one day at the hospital, my mom decided she would pass the name along to me.
I'm a very dainty little cat. I never cause trouble, and I am always polite and friendly. Well, friendly once things settle down. Strange beans kinda frighten me, so when they first come into our homey home, I run and hide under the bed...but curiosity gets the best of me before too long and I come out to check the situation, then usually I end up being friends with the visitor (if they're nice and most of my bean's friends are).
My best sleeping place in the wintertime is on my bean's bed. She has a warming pad that covers the whole bed, and she leaves it on all the time, so I can be snuggly warm even if it gets a little chilly in the house. I nap there most days.
I am the only furchild actually born at our homey home. My bean took my catmom in when she was expecting us, and she found good homes for Nanamom and my other siblings, but I stayed. I was born on July 7, 2001 in the front living room. This is the only home I have ever known or ever hope to know.
I got lost one time. My bean was just frantic and she searched and searched for me and even put an ad in her newspaper with my picture, but nobody called. Twelve days later, she was home sick one day and she heard me beating on the storm door to be let inside. We were so glad to see each other! Since then, I don't wander too far away from home because it is really scary to be alone in a strange place with no food except what you can catch!
