Arrival Story:
I lost my Rocky cat a while back, and it finally became time to find a new kitty. So I looked high and low, and finally decided on this little guy.

Bio:
Although this kitty was neutered and declawed, he somehow was running wild and was trapped by AC. He was adopted within a couple of eeks, but the people only gave him a couple of weeks before they decided he could not get along with the other cats, and returned him to the pound. He had only been back a week when I visited--they had him in a community cat room already, but he looked pretty sad to me. He was curled up in a cat condo with another kitty, so that told me he could, too, get along. When I took him out of the condo, he hid his head under my elbow, and he was shaking, but not trying to get away. I sat in the chair and put him on my chest, and he just curled up--soon he was asleep. The intake report has daid this kitty was ' slightly overweight" but I could feel his backbone and ribs easily, and his belly was tucked up high, so I suspect hed had not been eating or drinking much for a while. Well, he was just too pitiful to leave there, and seemed so quiet, I took him home. This poor kitty didn't even cry in the cage on the way home. The first night he was scared to death, but I was happy to see that I could easily approach him when I went to visit, although he still had his tail between his legs and was slinking on his belly. . (I have an unused back room that he is currently staying in until he and BooBoo seem friendly--at peresent I'm just letting him settle.) The next morning, he was standing up, head-butting--and purring the most musical purr! I think he will be a great fit in this house, but I'm not rushing it--BooBoo was becoming too whiny and dependant on me, but she is not sure about this invading kitty yet; she had to stay in her own room for three months before I could really let her out with Rocky at all. So we know how to wait around here, but this new kitty seems a bit more submissive and relaxed than Rock, so I'm really hoping it won't be nearly a YEAR before they can stay out together fulltime.
