I'm suspicious of something. I think my Mom has the forbidden "F" word: FLEAS! She was scratching and with red marks, she says mosquitos did it, but, uh, I don't know.... aren't mosquitos harmless living toys? I've never heard of any cat being bitten by a mosquito. I think she's just saying that so we don't tell Dad and ask him to give her that same product she once put on us, on the back of our necks. But the point really is, how did she get them??? Was she playing with a strange cat, or even worse, a strange dog??? Or doves, I once heard that doves also can have fleas. Or maybe humans have fleas and we poor animals get them because humans hug us. I have to do some further reaserch on that. Right now Mom is giving treats, yey! I'm not gonna let her hold me, though, just in case...
