Arrival Story:
Pepper (and her liter-mate Salt) were rescues from a construction site. Eddie's coworker's knew just who to call when they found them. They were less than 4 weeks old when found, but are happy healthy cats now. Pepper was so infested with fleas, it took hours of bathing and combing to clean her up.

Pepper In Some...

Everything Always Happens to Me.....

Ok, so maybe it's partly my fault....The whole family went camping in the new RV recently and I got caught in the slide-out. When it started moving I had no idea what to do, then the wall got closer and closer to me so I finally decided to jump out and couldn't make the leap. Mawmee had to help me. Thank goodness Daddy was moving that thing as slow as possible. It was all of our first time in the new RV (including Mawmee and Daddy) and they weren't sure where we all were hiding. Mawmee didn't understand what he meant by a "pinch point" but she does now (and so do I). I hid out most of the rest of the weekend and am almost all healed though.

[Mawmee's note: Just like the dryer when she was a kitten, hopefully Pepper will completely avoid that spot again in the future. I was so scared that she was hurt bad and we had just gotten to our destination.]

My fur is finally growing back in!

Mawmee was gonna take me back to the vet because my fur was not growing back in (or I wasn't letting it), but Grammy was here and then Uncle Tommy, so she was busy for a whole month. She started noticing that if you look close, my fur IS growing back. It just still looked odd because it is growing in lighter than it was. As time goes on, it is darkening again and you can see I am back to my black fur. Still don't know what caused it, but maybe it was an allergy and I'm now past whatever was aggravating me.

Cat Grass -- Yummy!

Daddy likes to pretend he's tough, and immune to us, and that we're all here just for Mawmee, but the reality is he's the one that first steps in to rescue us. And he builds towers for us to play on, and he shops for us at Christmas, too. One of this year's presents (along with the scratcher-lounger and the most fantastic catnip we've ever had) was one of those cat-grass seed kits. Well, Mawmee finally got around to opening it up and starting to grow it last week, and this weekend it was ready for us.

I was asleep when Daddy first put it out on the living room floor for us, but not for long. This was the most fantastic stuff! I loved it. I was chowing down on it and ripping it right out of the container. I made such a mess, but they didn't stop me - Whoopee!
