Arrival Story:
Sonny came to us from a friend/mentor of Eddie's. Brian had offered us one of the kittens before they were born, and Eddie had said yes, mostly because I was having a rough time health-wise. He thought it would cheer me up. When the kittens were born 4th of July weekend there weren't enough for us to still get one. However, by the time they were ready to leave their mamacat, one of the other parties had backed out so Brian called and told Eddie we still could have one. Eddie did not tell me this. Late in the day on a Sunday he suddenly started getting ready to go out (not a normal thing) and when I asked what he was doing all he would tell me was "I am not a liberty to say, but you are welcome to come with me." I repeatedly tried to get a real answer out of him to no avail, so I decided to go along for the ride -- figuring I might need to put the brakes on something, most likely spending. We got to Brian's and went into the house. I had totally forgotten about the kittens by this point and was still trying to figure out what the heck was going on and why I bothered to come along, and why he was so secretive about it -- I was guessing he was borrowing some tools or something. We got in the house and one of the kids mentioned the kittens. Of course I would love to see them! Next thing I know, this tiny orange ball was put into my hands and my husbands says quietly into my ear "You're holding yours". Sonny went home with us that night.

Sadly, we lost Brian to a heart attack a few years ago, at much too young an age but Sonny keeps him alive in our memories and our hearts.

I'm a Teenager!

So earlier this month I turned 13! Wow - what a milestone! Thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes! It's pretty cool that I share my birthday with the country and there's a big party for both of us every year.

This year, Mawmee and Daddee did something different and instead of having a party and fireworks at our house, they spent the day working and shopping; and then the evening out at the big local fireworks show. I just wanna know what Daddee plans to do with the fireworks he had already bought?? New Year's maybe?

Visitors, Visitors, Visitors

One thing about living in Florida....Mawmee and Daddee sure get a LOT of visitors in the winter/spring. It's been almost nonstop around here for a couple of months. Some of those visitors even bring children.

Everyone is so impressed...all my siblings hide when company comes, but I just stay in my spot on the couch. Is that because I'm too old or too big and lazy to care? I think not!

I don't SNORE! Do I?

Daddy said I kept him awake all night with my snoring the other night. Should I be offended? Kitties don't snore, do they?

I've never heard myself snore...Think I'll go take a nap and check.

(PS - Mawmee said she has heard me before as well -- In the words of Stephanie from Full House "How rude!")
