indoors Arrival Story: I noticed an ad in the paper about a cat who needed rehoming. I had no desire of getting a cat (never had one) but something drew me in and I decided to call. The gentlemen told me his wife hated the cat and he needed to get rid of it immediately. I walked into their home, and showed up just when they were having a huge plumbing problem. Water was pouring into the dining room from the bathroom, so needless to say my timing wasn't the greatest. I told them I could come back at another time, but he said his wife wanted her gone ASAP. I should have known something was off but hey I was already there. He scooped the cat up into his arms and I went to pet her and she bit me. I was a little shocked but he assured me it was just because of the flood, she was a bit scared, normally she is a loving adorable cat. Not knowing anything about cats, I took his word for it and brought my new fur pal home. Well, I adopted the meanest cat EVER!!!! She was 2 when I got her and already declawed, I can see why. She would attack and bite me ever chance she got, I was actually afraid of my own cat. I would be laying in bed at night and I would need to hide under the covers because she would pounce on me, not fun. I decided one day that enough was enough, I was taking a stand in my own home. I did research and started using some training techniques, I wasn't giving up on her. It has been 6 years, she is still a member of our family. She has her quirks but we love her regardless.
