Siri's mama, Ruby, wandered into my sister's house one day as a self-assured stray, and a month later was discovered to be pregnant. Siri was the firstborn of the litter and the only girl, and when she was about nine weeks old, I took her home with me.

She looks exactly like her mother, hence her "Ruby-clone" nickname.
