Arrival Story:
I went to the convenience store and there was this beautiful little kitten rubbing against the legs of everyone who passed by her, yet no one had even paid attention to her. Upon closer examination, her lip was bleeding. The store clerk said that someone had kicked her, yet here she was rubbing against everyone and begging for attention. I took her home and, luckily my mom was sleeping and I asked my sleeping mother if we could take her in, and in her haze, she said "yes." The next morning she was rather irritated, but after the sad story, she couldn't say no. Stormy remains one of the best cats of our household.

Bio:
Up until several months ago, Stormy was at the top of the kitty pyramid in our house. She loved our dog, Maverick very much (probably more than us), and in fact, she still has a patch on her back where Mav used to lick her and it's still discolored from his saliva. After he died, she fell down a few steps in the cat hierarchy and went into a deep depression and she actually lost about 4 pounds. (about 25% of her total body weight!) She's getting better now, but we feel so sad for her because she isn't the same cat. We hope she gets through this and becomes more outgoing again.
