Mom heard from her cousin yesterday and his kitty Carol has made a full recovery! They really didn't think she would make it, but she is well again. Thank you so much to all the furs that purred extra hard for her and all the prayers.

A few days ago, my mommies cousins kitty got very sick. They took her to the vet yesterday and found out that she had a slight stroke, but everybody is still worried about her. She is a very loving kitty that just wandered into mom's cousin's life about a year ago. She was lost, scared and hungry. It took about 2 months to get her healthy again. She is not on Catster, but we wanted to ask for all the extra purrs and prayers she could get. Mom will update as she get more info.

No Electricity!

On Tuesday evening, we lost our electricity. We were having a bad wind storm and a big branch fell out of our tree and pulled all of our power lines off of our house! I was really strange to be sitting around with just candles for light. I was a little nervous. It was also pretty eerie because it was so quiet. All you could hear was the wind blowing outside. Mom was nervous too, be we kept each other calm. I really hope we don't have to go through that again!

I am in my new home!

I have finally been reunited with my mom. When she moved away almost 3 years ago, she left me with her mom. She knew that grandma would take good care of me and I would be happy with all my other kitty friends, but she still missed me. Well, grandma is moving now and can only have one kitty so grandma made arrangements for me to get back to my mom. Last week, I was put in a box (carrier) in the middle of the night and then put in a car with a stranger (mom's uncle, he said that I did alot of squeaking). That was the easy part. The next thing I knew, I was at a very noisy place with lots of people moving around. I was scared, but I did okay. Then I got put in a great big silver thing with wings and a tail. I have to tell you that I have never seen a bird that big before in my life, and boy was it loud.

Well, a few hours later, I was in a sunny place with two people looking in the box at me. I did recognize one of them as my mom, the other person I had never seen before in my life. Mom said that he is my new dad and that he will love me very much. Of course, she was right. He has been just wonderful to me.

Now comes the fun part, meeting all the other kitties that live here. Yesterday, mom opened up the bedroom (that is where I have been living) so that we could all meet. I did okay. I did a little hissing and then Lightning Strike tried to attack me! I squealed and went right back in the bedroom.

So, my first week in my new home has gone pretty good. Mom really hopes that I will come out of my shell some and make friends with the other cats. I will still have to live in the bedroom at night and whenever mom and dad aren't home, but hopefully soon, I will be able to live in the rest of the house too.

She is going to start posting more pictures of me soon, but she didn't want to scare me too much right away by flashing a camera in my face.
