I am a little worried right now, and Mommy is too! We are worrying about Fiona, our outside kitty. Every night she comes to the door, usually when she hears Mommy's garage door open...she follows hers up the stairs and sits atop the top steps...a'course still scared fur pets, but still, she comes fur yum yums. And sometimes, rarely, she isn't there, but within a couple hours or so she is outside mewing. Plus I knows when she comes 'cause I watches out the window fur her.
She hasn't come fur dinner since the weekend-Mommy keeps putting food out-and last night and the night befur, somefur ate it 'cause most of the yum yums was eaten, but Fiona eats it awwwl. And this fur didn't finish, and even late into the night one night no foods was still eaten. They were doing some work on an apartment in our bldg and made a huge mess! Mommy is worried that she got scared from that or worse-'cause the bushes where she hides had all this yucky watery stuff poured there. On Sunday night, late at night, we woke up 'cause we heard a cat scream, and when Mommy has heard it before, she has been able to see kitten and the other kitty outside and distract them away from each other. This time no kitty was saw'd.
Maybe she got hurt? Maybe she found a new place fur better yum yums? Mommy has been checking the local shelter listings, but then, if she is so scared, would she be listed even? Mommy emailed the fixnation people fur help with trapping her ta get fixed, but they never got back to her so Mommy doesn't think that they got her.
Another fur is missing too-Monida's outside kitty! Our mommies are both worried mommies! Maybe you can purrrr fur out outside furrriends please? And send purrrrs too when you has extras to my furrriend Blizzard the Catfather's kitty-they are helping a kitty in need, and she needs our POTP.
Love and Purrrs,
WE are purraying for all the kitties mentioned and all the mommies and daddies too!!!
Hoping they will find their way back to happiness, sweetness and light!!!
With love, Tink & Snow
PURRING!!!!! Kitty Pryde do you think you'd be okay with Fiona if your mommy took her inside for good? I know you didn't like Harrison cause he wanted to eat your brains and all but it sounds like you love Fiona already.
Oh Lacey! I honestly don't know!!! We play pawsies under the door (the door has a huge gap and I pulled off tha part that covers the drafty air 'cause the kitty) and we sit by each other at the door. I even watches her eat and have sniffed her but she's not in my house like Harrison was! She is still so scared though-mommy read that it's harder fur "feral" kitties to get used to people and homes as they get older-she is scared to try, one, 'cause of me of course! and two, because what if she isn't good with kitties because she is a lonely outside one.
Why don't you ask someone that you know has taken ferals in? There's lots of kitty pawents here that have adopted and brought in ferals from outside and they've done okay. Linus' mommy has done it, I can't think of who else right now but I know there are others. I think it's worth a try. She'll be much safer inside and if you guys are trying to reach each other through the door, that's a good sign.
Samhain and Sleeper and Fearless all came from a feral community too...
We are gonna purrrrrrrrrrrr for the kitties!!!!!
harriet (and ozzy)
thanks fur the advices! Well, one of our good furrriends, my Uncle Ken, who watched me while Mommy was home visiting her pawrents fur Christmas...his kitty Fidget was just like our kitty. So Mommy has been doing his suggestions-like leaving the door open when she eats and putting the bowl in the door and stuffs. She has ccrossed tha threshhold!! but if Mommy moves too quick in the 'partment, she gets scared and backs up. or, MOL! she will stretch out really far and grab some yum yums and take them back a few steps and eat that way haha! Mommy sits with her sometimes and always lets her see that she is the one putting the foodies out-'cept fur the last couple of days, so she sees that mommy is the food lady, someone said to do that. I just hope she comes around where we can at least see she is ok! We need to get her and get her fixed too, so she doesn't has kittens-Mommy thought maybe she had some too and that was a reason she is gone, but when she looks fur her, she hasn't heard any mews or anything. thanks fur your purrrs friends!
Purring sweetie. I came from outside. I had kittens. I wish these kitties much needed luck.
You need to get a kitty trap.
Mommy saw her tonight!!!! She gave mommy a few mews and a few slowblinks and then scooted away when mommy got too close, but thank you fur the purrrrs, they worked!
Thank you for mentioning my outdoor kitty, Kitty! And I'm sooo glad your mommy saw her!
We still haven't seen our outside kitty for a long time. Mom hasn't been home much, so she's hoping that maybe she's coming by when she's not home, but we're very worried. :( Thanks for purring friends!
My mom found me at the pound. I was someone's cat who got out but I was so young. I had lost a litter of kittens and was only three pounds. Mom brought me home where I lived until I was seventeen. Ben and I were friends but not as close as Alex is with Juliette. After being outside, I never went near the door again. I did get out when I was an old cat but I just
stood still until my mom picked me up. The outdoors here is scarey and cold. We have difficult winters.....We hope that your outside kitty is doing better..
I'm glad that your meowmy has seen her. I'd been hoping that perhaps, perhaps... one of the workers (a.k.a. as sprayers of white weirdness) had their heart captured by her, captured her and taken her to a loving, forever home.
Naive? Maybe, but i want to believe the best....
It was after-all humans who found me and my kittens and found us all homes.
Always, always purring for your family and lighting the angel star lamps to guide your ways.
