I'm almost calling the Lady "mom". Almost.
She can sometimes pet me when I'm in the living room and not in one of my special
safe places like the tub. When we get close my tail is up high and twitching. Does this
mean I'm nervous but willing? I kind of run up to her sometimes when she is walking.
It makes her nervous. She thinks I'm going to attack her legs!

The Lady takes a lotta pictures of me, that's fur sure. She says I'm photo-genic. Not
sure what it means but it makes her smile.

Yesterday I was in the tub for a whole 10 minutes! Why stay there when I have the
apartment to myself? All the good places are Mine! The cat tree, the tent, window sills,
on the couch, under the couch and even the Lady's desk chair! MINE!

There is catnip every day at the Food Court! I've lost some weight and am now a slim
and trim kitty. What a life! I miss my brother GILMORE though, he was good to me.
He can visit if he wants!

Gotta go, time for my early morning nap!

Mazie, you've really settled in and have shown amazing improvement! Your mom is being very patient with you and one day, in your own time and own your own terms, you'll let her pet you when you're close. I believe the tail up and twitching means you're interested and willing but still unsure and cautious. Don't know about the running up to you. Abby was the only cat mom had who ever did that. Sometimes she'd run up and swat mommy with her paw (but it didn't hurt) when mommy didn't do what Abby wanted her to do. :))

high tails N twitching meen: hi lady eye will call mom sum day eye bee happee two see ewe but wood reely N trooly like it WAY mor if ther wuz trout at de food court as well az nip sew due ewe think ewe could like go fishin N catch sum and thank mew in advance....

I think tail twitching might mean you are excited. Unless it's lashing back and forth. That always means, I'm mad or I'm gonna attack. You get nip EVERY DAY? Wow, I need to have a conversation with my Mom.

I think the running up to someone when they're walking means you want to be where they're going and you want to be near them. It's how some kitties show love. It's good to learn you love your new Mom's company and are excited to see her. I do that with my Daddy but I don't sit in his lap often. I'm just not that kind of cat. We hope your progress continues to improve.
